The walls of Level Six still rattled from the shock of Magnus's strike as smoke drifted through the corridor mixing with the smell of iron and blood.
Bullet rolled his shoulders, his muscles flexing like coiled cables. His grin was wild, but beneath it there was a shadow of curiosity almost disbelief.
"You're serious about this," he said, his tone halfway between a scoff and admiration. "But tell me can we even get out of here? These walls weren't built to break and above us waits the entire Marine fleet."
The giant rumbled at the question, his single eye gleaming. The rogue Marine leaned against his spear silent but watchful, waiting for the answer as well.
"We'll get out," he said, his voice even, calm, carrying the weight of certainty. "I didn't come here to die in a cage. The Buster Call is on its way…"
He tilted his head, almost as if listening to something only he could hear the faint tremor of cannons aligning in the distance, the sea shifting restlessly above.
"…I just hope they make it in time."
Bullet frowned, confusion cutting through his grin. "They?"
Magnus didn't answer. His eyes narrowed, fixed on the stairwell that twisted upward like the throat of a beast. The sound of boots and steel grew louder, echoing through the stone.
The alarm wailed louder and then the first shadow appeared.
Vice Admirals in long coats descended the steps, their presence like walls of iron. Behind them came rows of chained beasts and hardened guards, their weapons glinting and their faces grim.
The air grew heavy.
Magnus lifted Shusui slowly, the cursed blade drinking the dim light, its black edge reflecting nothing but darkness.
Bullet's grin returned, savage and eager.
The giant roared.
The rogue Marine's knuckles whitened around his spear.
The silence before the storm shattered with Magnus's single word.
"Attack."
The dungeon erupted.
Bullet launched himself forward like a cannonball, fists swinging wide, each blow cratering stone and splattering blood.
The giant's chains cracked like thunder, smashing Marines against walls.
The rogue Marine moved like a shadow, cutting down men before their screams could rise.
And Magnus form blurred as Shusui sang. Black lightning split the air cleaving through steel and flesh alike. Every swing wasn't just a cut but a declaration.
The Marines faltered as their were wills were crushed beneath the storm of his Haki.
The Vice Admirals stepped forward thier haki burning around their fists and blades.
"You're not leaving alive!" one bellowed.
Magnus's eyes glinted like cold steel. "Then try and stop us."
The clash shook Impel Down the first crack in the unbreakable fortress.
