The alarms screamed through Impel Down, their shrill cry reverberating against the black stone walls. The air was thick with smoke, blood, and the metallic scent of seastone torches burning along the corridor.
Magnus stood at the center of it all, his silver hair swaying in the underground wind, Shusui clenched firmly in his hand. The cursed blade hummed faintly, black lightning coiling along its edge like it hungered for slaughter.
Across from him, Vice Admirals descended the stairwell with the weight of mountains.
Their coats billowed, their weapons gleaming with hardened haki.
Behind them marched Marines in organized lines, reinforced with chained beasts and heavily armed jailers.
Bullet rolled his shoulders, muscles flexing like steel cables beneath his scarred skin. His grin was savage, eyes burning with the thrill of battle. The giant at his side roared, chains snapping as he dragged iron restraints like toys. The rogue Marine leaned calmly on his spear, his cold gaze cutting through the chaos with surgical precision.
The tension was suffocating.
Finally, a Vice Admiral broke the silence, his voice booming. "Magnus! You've gone too far. You won't leave these walls alive!"
Magnus raised his eyes, his face calm as ever. Shusui tilted slightly in his grip, its edge catching the dim torchlight and turning it into a void of black steel.
"You can try," he said softly.
The Vice Admiral lunged, blade coated in obsidian Armament Haki. The swing split the air, powerful enough to cleave a lesser man in two.
Magnus moved like flowing water. Shusui rose in a smooth arc, intercepting the strike. The impact detonated like thunder. Stone split beneath their feet, a shockwave tearing down the stairwell and sending Marines staggering back.
The Vice Admiral's eyes widened as his arms trembled. Magnus didn't budge. His Conqueror's Haki bled into the clash, pressing down with invisible weight. The Admiral's knees bent, his teeth grinding as sweat poured down his face.
Bullet's laughter broke the tension. "Hah! That's what I'm talking about!" He shot forward like a cannonball his fists slamming into the ground with enough force to crater stone. Marines flew like ragdolls, their screams drowned in the roar of collapsing walls.
The giant swung his chains in a wide arc, tearing through men and beasts alike. Blood splattered across the corridor as bodies were flung against walls, bones shattering on impact. His roar shook dust loose from the ceiling, echoing like thunder.
The rogue Marine moved with a different rhythm cold and precise. His spear darted like lightning, each thrust finding a throat, a heart, and tendons. There was no wasted motion, every strike was final.
Magnus remained the eye of the storm.
Another Vice Admiral rushed him, fists blazing with haki. Magnus sidestepped, Shusui flashing once in the darkness. A spray of crimson followed, the Admiral collapsing with a deep cut across his chest.
The cursed blade sang in his hands, drinking in his will, drinking in blood. Black lightning crackled along its edge, scorching the air. Every swing wasn't just a cut it was pure domination.
Marines dropped without being touched, their spirits crushed beneath the storm of his aura. Those who stood fought with trembling hands, their wills fraying under his presence.
The first Vice Admiral roared again, sounding desperate. He swung with everything he had, his blade screaming through the air.
Magnus parried, his movements as calm as a man brushing dust from his sleeve. Then he twisted Shusui in a sharp arc. The black lightning roared outward, carving a jagged scar across the stairwell. The Vice Admiral was blasted back, crashing against the wall with a cough of blood.
"Monsters… all of you…" another Vice Admiral hissed, his voice shaking.
Bullet crushed a Marine beneath his fist and looked up, laughter booming like cannon fire. "Damn right we are!"
The giant smashed through another gate, dragging it free to use as a shield, plowing through soldiers like a living avalanche.
The rogue Marine wiped blood from his spear with practiced calm. "They'll break," he said coldly. "It's only a matter of time."
Above them, the Den Den Mushi's voice cracked with panic.
"All ships, prepare to fire! Commence the Buster Call immediately!"
Outside, the sea thundered. Battleships lined the horizon, their cannons glowing as fire began to rain upon Impel Down.
Magnus looked up his expression as calm as the blade in his hand. Shusui pulsed in his grip, as though it could taste the carnage to come.
"Then let's tear our way to the surface."
And the monsters surged forward, carving their ascent through the unbreakable fortress as the world's greatest naval force prepared to annihilate them.
