His hand reached for his pants' pocket, pulling out a mysterious dagger.
In a split second, he threw it in the air, and he watched it with anticipation as it flew up.
"I hope this works." He murmured, his remaining arm clutching his gash.
A violet beam pierced the ground, coming straight at him, inches away from connecting with him, when he suddenly disappeared.
"Huh? Where did he go?" She mumbled, bewildered, looking around for anywhere he could be.
A red light shone from above, coming straight at her. The girl watched with curiosity, squinting her eyes as she did so.
The figure's outline began shaping up; it turned out it wasn't a star or anything; it was that same man coming at her at the speed of light.
"Wait wha-?" She thought, looking at the falling figure.
A massive explosion rang out, covering the ground and sky with a mushroom cloud that stretched underground.
Red particles covered the air, but out of nowhere, beams began tearing the ground apart. It wasn't the same as last time; instead, it was tens to hundreds of times stronger.
Knights sprouted from the ground. Although their numbers aren't as overwhelming as before, they are more than enough to defeat even a semi-swordmaster.

From inside, a golden light gleamed through the smoke, slowly cracking it apart.
A golden circle formed in the air, devouring every trace of gas. But then, it cracked open, spewing out a red aura that twisted into the form of a dragon wreathed in golden fire.
It shot out hellish flames in every direction, engulfing the earth in fire.
The smoke fully vanished, revealing two figures trading blows deep within.
They were not equal; the man was getting beaten up by someone who was not even a serious opponent.
"Damn this!" He cursed in his thoughts, fighting back.
A blow connected with his face, but he didn't recoil; instead, he pushed his face against the fist, lessening the pain.
He countered with a low kick to the thighs, momentarily freezing her in place, and he took his sweet time ruining her face with his fists. "YEAH! Take this! You're not leaving this place alive!" He shouted, confidence filling him from top to bottom.
Once she came back to her senses, he stepped back, then came back with a flying kick to the stomach.
But it was pathetically blocked with nothing but her palm.
Her hand tightened around his knee, slowly crushing it.
But little did she know that the dragon he summoned was only a few seconds to minutes away.
He readied up his other leg, striking her in the face. Successfully escaping her deadly grip.
Backing off, he turned in the opposite direction and sprinted with all remaining stamina. The dragon started shaping up before him; if he reached him, he would finally have a chance of winning. Right?
"No!" He looked back, horrified.
A hand reached for him, pulling him back.
His back met with a hard knee.
"AHHHH!" He screamed in agony, his bones shattered from the heavy impact.
She turned him to face her eye to eye, and a fist was coming right at his face.
He lifted his hands to block it. But that did nothing but deal more pain.
That single punch enabled him to start flying in the air, not in a good way.
She leaped up to meet him.
Kicking him back down.
A sickening scream rang out from below.
Followed by coughs of blood as the girl punched him deep underground.
As a last measure, he decided to materialize his golden arm once again.
Not knowing that it will serve him no purpose.
Her hand tightened around his neck, digging the dirt with his face until light shone on their face again.
Her grip lessened, slightly pulling him up she let go, charging up a spinning kick that shattered ribs on impact. Sending him a few meters in the opposite direction, but that was just what he wanted.
He stood up, wobbly, his lips curled into a grin.
Not long after, a sword's blade was right in front of him, and his smile reflected from it.
He blocked it with his golden arm, slightly cracking it. A second swing was directed at his feet, aiming to cut them down like a lumberjack cutting down a tree.
She missed, and he jumped, landing directly on her sword. Thinking she won't be able to use her sword now, his smirk only grew wider, but was quickly replaced with horror.
His head met the ground as she pulled the sword from below his feet.
She swung, the blade was inches away from injuring him, no. Killing him.
He snapped his fingers together as flames were hurled at her.
She stepped back, confused. Looking above, she realised. "So that's why he was running before…" Her form didn't falter; it's only strengthened.
She leaped up, purple mana following her blade.
Her body twisted around it, dodging every single particle of flame directed at her.
At last, she landed on top of the dragon, and she dug her sword deep inside it.
A screech echoed through the earth, and vibrations shook the ground apart.
Little did she know, the man was creeping up behind her, his golden arm was replaced with a golden sword.
He thrusted, but missed terribly.
He stumbled forward, dirt kicking up under his boots, her sword already swinging down.
The girl gazed at him, face shaped with nothing but blood thirst.
He couldn't move a single finger; only his eyes were operable.
The dragon started vanishing. The girl walked towards his limp body, crouching beside it.
Her bland face was replaced with curiosity.
Pulling his blonde hair back. She was amazed by his beauty.
He was scooped up by the girl's arms as the dragon fully vanished.
His blue eyes gleamed, slowly closing.
The last thing he saw before he lost consciousness was a warm smile.
