His eyes darted to the clouds; he felt as if his soul was getting pulled away from his body.
Slowly, a ghost-like shape of him began to levitate, leaving his body behind.
A blue portal manifested in the air, sucking him in.
The next thing he saw was a battlefield below him, a man clad in golden force-like armor.
He stood tall, facing an entire army of reapers.
They charged in uniscent, but he didn't even tremble a single bit. Instead, his excitement grew.
A mischievous grin stretched across his face. "Mmmm, experience." He mumbled, unsheathing a sword strapped to his belt. It wasn't any kind of sword, but a strange one, mysterious engravings materialized on the sword when the blade met flesh.
Not even feeling a single drop of anxiety, he charged too, sword in hand.
War cries rang out as his blade met the enemy's scythes.
A massive aura burst shook the entire battlefield into oblivion.
The blonde-haired man decapitated every single reaper standing in front of him.
But, unknowingly, he mistakenly let the reapers surround him. Not leaving a single route of escape.
Little did they know, he was not the one in danger, but they were.
Golden mini portals manifested behind the enemy forces.
Hundreds, if not thousands, of golden swords came out, piercing every single reaper in their way.
In a matter of seconds, the whole army was cut down by half, leaving only the stronger ones alive.
He scanned his surroundings. The reapers were devastated by his overwhelming power.
Seeing this, his confidence only grew.
He lunged at a reaper, red aura following his blade.
The poor reaper ended up cut to pieces.
That wasn't the last one he was gonna slaughter; his hands craved even more blood.
So he charged at the remaining enemies, eliminating every single one in his way.
Until one blocked his rampage.
The man stopped dead in his tracks, curious about the reaper that had blocked his attack.
The reaper's eyes were hollow, lifeless.
"Oh, so you're one of the special ones…?" He smiled, stepping back to create distance between them.
His boots carved the dirt as he switched his stance into a dash.
Behind him, his golden swords flew.
His sword met with the reaper's scythe. Sparks of fire flew around as they exchanged blows.
Every time the blonde man missed one of his strikes, his swords made up for it, blocking the attacks that managed to pierce his defense.
But still, some came through, scratching his armor.
The man scoffed in annoyance. Strengthening his blows further.
He raised his sword high, golden aura swirling into a tornado around the blade.
He swung it down at him, and the tornado sucked every drop of aura manifested by the reaper.
"Will you be able to block this?!" He shouted, swinging with all he had at the reaper.
The enemy struggled, his teeth ground against each other. "Grrrrr!"
Suddenly, his hollow eyes turned gray for a second.
The man, surprised, stared directly at his eyes. Until he realised what he had done. Covering his eyes with his hands, but it was already too late; the effects had already started. "No! Why did I do that?" He shouted, his legs wobbled until he finally fell on his knees, unable to keep balanced.
His head started spinning, black reapers appeared in front of him, but they were nothing but an illusion created by that unique reaper.
That was all the reaper needed; the man's surroundings began shifting into a red void.
Slowly replacing the real world with a cruel space of red.
He found himself standing in a pool of blood. He scratched his chin, wondering. "Hmm, I'm pretty sure I already fought against a reaper with a similar ability. But this one is definitely stronger than the other."
His fingers tightened around the sword's hilt until he lifted it, faced down. His face expressed sarcasm.
Unexpectedly, he pierced the ground with his sword, injecting his mana onto the floor.
The ground gleamed golden, slowly covering the soulless floor.
In a split second, his surroundings began turning golden colored.
Then, the void cracked.
A devilish grin stretched across his face. "Too easy!"
The void broke fully, and he found himself in the same spot as earlier; the reaper's scythe was already heading towards him. Leaving him milliseconds to react. Entirely forgetting about the golden swords protecting him from behind.
He lifted his arms high, covering his face.
His lips parted, letting out a shout. "Damn it!"
But the blade didn't connect with his forearms; instead, a sharp SCHING! Echoed in front of him.
The golden sword had saved him. Realising this, he regained his blood thirst.
A second golden sword materialized in his left hand. Wielding two swords at the same time.
He lunged at the opponent.
Each strike blocked by the reaper was followed by another one that left him no time to counterattack.
CLANK!
SCHWING!
SHANG!
Their sword collided. Aura was traded.
Their trade repeated for a while, until the swords supporting him charged from behind.
Now, he was surrounded on each side.
The blonde man had finally landed a swing, leaving a deep gash in his stomach.
The floating swords scarred his back, leaving it a bloody mess.
Now, it was clear who had the higher hand in this.
The man didn't waste a single second; he only swung at him.
Until he twisted his foot, lifting the other and striking him straight on the gut, sending him stumbling on the ground, but that wasn't all.
He sprinted at him, spinning with his foot raised high, until it connected with the reaper's face. Blood tainted the ground.
In a finishing move, he lifted his heel to the air, dropping it like an anvil onto the reaper's head.
CRACK!
The reaper clutched his head with his hands. As the man landed kicks left and right, even mixing in some punches.
Red aura surrounded his foot, like fire covering it.
He swung at him, landing straight at the temple.
Finally, knocking him out. "You shouldn't have dared to show your face here." The man muttered, pulling his hair back.
His sword pierced the reaper's body until it evaporated on its own.

"I expected way more than that; this reaper wasn't that strong after all." He declared, eyes following the ash floating with the wind.
The remaining reapers slowly backed away until they made a run for it.
"Where do ya think you're going?" He shouted with laughter.
Golden swords covered the battlefield, trapping them in it.
Slowly, golden spikes pierced the ground with the reapers standing on top of them.
Their golden glow was hidden by black blood.
They were endless, and they tore apart every reaper standing on top of them.
"Hahahaha! Experience!"
Their shrieks echoed as they vaporised into mist.
Each one of their screams carried shattered, unfinished dreams.
