Chapter 110 - Chapter 111: Superman Xi Nian vs Corrupted Superman

Chapter 111: Superman Xi Nian vs Corrupted Superman

Superman Memorial Square.

"Not late, right? Aunt?"

Xi Nian caught Superman Kal's strike, then turned his head and winked at Wonder Woman.

Diana looked at Xi Nian, now transformed into a Superman, and hesitated as if unsure what to say. In the end, she sighed softly with a faint smile. "Skipping school again, and still running here…"

"Of course. Don't think you can leave me behind." Xi Nian grinned. He knew that, in his aunt's eyes, he would always be the child who never grew up, the one who always wanted to hide behind her for protection.

But even if given ten thousand chances, he would still make the same choice—to stand here, at her side.

Not for the so-called duty of protecting the world. Just to protect one person. Just as she had shielded him for more than ten years.

For you, a thousand times over.

Whoosh!

At that moment—

A figure descended in a gust of wind, scattering rubble and dust. Kara Danvers, clad in her blue-and-red Supergirl uniform, landed beside Xi Nian.

Her eyes lit up as she looked at the man hovering in the air. "Kal, is it really you?!" she shouted, her voice trembling with excitement.

Superman Kal-El's hard features flickered with emotion. He turned to glance at Kara—but then his burning gaze locked again on Xi Nian, who had blocked his strike. His eyes blazed red like molten metal pulled from the furnace.

His intent was crystal clear.

"Kara, get them out of here!" Xi Nian, in his black Superman suit, spoke decisively.

"Alright!" Kara's heart ached. She couldn't bring herself to fight her cousin Kal, but she didn't understand what state he was in either. For a moment, she was torn. But hearing Xi Nian's words, she instinctively obeyed.

In a blur, faster than the eye could track, Kara swooped down, grabbed the fallen Aquaman and Cyborg, and carried them away from the battlefield.

The Flash, of course, could run on his own.

"Hey! Put me down! I can still fight—" Arthur Curry, the burly Aquaman, roared, his pride wounded at being carried off by a young woman. But before his words finished, his eyes widened.

Down below, Superman's eyes blazed as he unleashed twin beams of heat vision. At the same moment, Xi Nian's own crimson eyes fired back identical beams.

Black Superman Xi Nian and Superman.

Their gazes locked—and four searing beams of red light clashed violently in midair!

Sizzle!!

The blinding glow and rising heat were so intense that Arthur, even thirty meters up, felt like a fish flopping helplessly under the burning sun.

Only then did he realize—Superman hadn't even been fighting seriously before.

…

Sparks screeched.

Xi Nian stood in front of Diana, his blazing red heat vision locked against Superman's.

The duel of beams lasted nearly ten seconds. But in the end, Kal-El's heat vision overwhelmed Xi Nian's.

Even among Kryptonians, power was not equal. And Kal-El was undeniably the strongest of them all.

Xi Nian gritted his teeth as his vision was pushed back to the edge of his face. Then, with a sudden shift, he deflected the beam aside.

The red lasers grazed his shoulder and carved deep channels across the square, flames roaring as molten lava bubbled from the scorched earth.

Xi Nian inhaled sharply and launched a straight punch. The air exploded, his bio-field surging with Kryptonian force.

Bang!!

His fist slammed into Kal-El's chest, hurling him backward and smashing him into the crumbling black stone monument. The remains shattered to dust.

But in less than a tenth of a second, before the rubble could even scatter, Superman blasted back out of the ground unscathed.

With a sonic boom, fists like iron meteors drove forward, striking Xi Nian like a living missile.

Diana quickly retreated, not wanting to hinder Xi Nian.

Xi Nian crossed his arms just in time. The moment he braced himself, Superman's fists crashed down like falling stars.

Boom—!

The shockwave blasted outward. Fifty meters away, the Justice League instinctively shielded their faces.

Xi Nian's arms trembled under the weight of the blow, his perfect muscles straining, but he held his ground against a strike that could have leveled mountains.

The earth beneath him wasn't so lucky—it collapsed in chunks.

Xi Nian gritted his teeth and shot upward, drawing the corrupted Superman into the skies. Their battle raged above the city, each strike unleashing sonic booms and hurricane gales.

…

When Batman finally arrived—holding a glass container with a strange alien starfish inside—he froze.

Above the square, two Kryptonians clashed in midair, every impact shattering the air itself.

"Someone tell me… what the hell am I looking at?" Bruce Wayne muttered, stunned despite his brilliant mind.

"Impossible! Two Kryptonians? No—three?!" gasped the one-eyed Starro fragment inside the jar. Its single pupil quivered with fear. Earth was even more dangerous than any star system it had ever wandered through.

The clash above ended abruptly. With one final punch that split the sky with a storm, a figure plummeted from above, smashing into the square and leaving a massive crater.

Xi Nian climbed out of the pit, panting. His hybrid Kryptonian-Spider physiology gave him immense control over his powers, but in terms of raw strength, he was still slightly weaker than Supergirl, let alone Kal-El.

The spider-gene allowed him instant perfect mastery of Kryptonian abilities, but it also slightly suppressed his full power.

A trade-off.

Normally, this flaw wouldn't matter against most foes. But against Kal-El, the mightiest Kryptonian, it became obvious.

Before Xi Nian could catch his breath, Superman once again descended from the sky like a wrathful god.

"Stop!" Kara prepared to intervene.

But another figure moved first.

Diana charged forward, her golden lasso flashing as she pulled it tight. She raised her right hand, silver bracer gleaming.

Xi Nian instantly understood. Without hesitation, he raised his own left arm—beneath his black Superman suit was another silver bracer, a matching pair.

In that instant, the twin Bracelets of Submission struck together—

Buzz!!!

The twin artifacts resonated as one, unleashing a divine shockwave that blasted Superman back dozens of meters.

"Aunt, you—"

Xi Nian's words cut short.

Because as his black cape whipped upward, shielding them from view, Diana suddenly stepped close—her lips burning as she kissed him.
