After thinking for a long time, Goku's eyes lit up—he had made his choice.

"With my strength right now, flashy energy attacks won't work on him. I'll have to try something else."

"His fighting skills are sharper than mine… if I want to win, there's only one move I can use."

"I just hope it works…"

Goku steadied himself, leaning forward as a crimson aura erupted around his body. His Saiyan blood boiled, pouring more power into him than ever before. Storms raged, the sky darkened, and Goku's blazing aura was the only light left in the darkness.

Beerus crossed his arms, unimpressed.

"Hmph… your power is incredible, but this is where it ends," he said calmly, though his tone carried disappointment.

In his eyes, Goku's tricks would never be enough. He was a God of Destruction—the very peak of the universe. No mortal technique could shake him.

But then—

"Huh?!" Beerus' eyes widened. "No… what is this?!"

Suddenly, a thunderous dragon's roar shook the heavens. From the shadows burst a colossal golden dragon, stretching farther than the eye could see. Its blazing light tore apart the dark sky, filling the world with warmth and life once again.

The dragon's body shimmered like molten gold, its face fierce and primal. Yet instead of rampaging, the beast coiled gently around Goku—like a guardian, feeding off his energy and growing stronger.

Beerus clenched his teeth. "An energy beast with its own will?! Tch… ridiculous! But… why do I feel… threatened?"

For the first time in ages, the God of Destruction felt unease. The sheer pressure of this dragon made even him wary.

"DRAGON FIST!! EXPLODE!!!" Goku's roar shook the planet.

Merging with the dragon, his body fused into pure golden light. The mighty beast swelled to even greater size, its roar splitting space itself. The very planet shook, and only Whis' silent protection kept Earth from crumbling apart.

Beerus' eyes gleamed with excitement. "Heh… this power! Even other Gods of Destruction haven't made me feel this way!"

The golden dragon lunged, tearing through reality to strike Beerus with unstoppable force.

"Don't underestimate me! I am a God of Destruction—BEGONE!!" Beerus bellowed, raising his hand. Purple energy of pure destruction erupted from his palm, colliding with the Dragon Fist head-on.

BOOOOOOM!!!

The wasteland shook violently. Space shattered, waves of destructive power and dragon's fury clashed, spreading devastation across the world.

Meanwhile, on a luxury cruise ship out at sea, Goku's friends watched in terror through Whis' staff's projection.

Chi-Chi clasped her hands tightly. "Please… Goku… you have to win!!"

Krillin's voice trembled. "I know you can't hear me, buddy… but please, save the Earth again!"

Tien frowned, ashamed. "The gap between us is… unreal. I can't help you at all… but I'll trust you with this fight, Goku."

Goten clenched his fists. "Dad! You can beat him—God power or not!"

Bulma shouted, "Come on, Goku!"

Trunks whispered, "Uncle Goku…"

One after another, the voices of Earth's heroes rose in support. To them, Goku was more than a fighter—he was hope itself.

Vegeta stood apart, arms crossed, scowling. His pride burned, but his chest ached.

Tch… no. Beerus hasn't even gone all out yet.

Kakarot… you're going to lose!

The Saiyan Prince hated it. Hated Beerus' overwhelming power. Hated his own weakness. Hated that once again, all he could do was watch.

Up above, Whis put down his fork and finally stopped eating. A small smile crossed his face.

"My, my… I didn't expect Goku to reach this level. His power is brushing against that of true gods… fascinating." He chuckled softly, his eyes gleaming with interest. "Lord Beerus seems to be enjoying himself. Mortal strength truly is surprising sometimes."

Then, calmly, Whis picked his food back up and continued eating.

The scene shifts back to the battlefield.

The clash between the golden dragon and the God of Destruction, Beerus, grows more intense.

No matter how much power the golden dragon unleashes, it can't break through Beerus's destructive energy.

To change this fight, Goku would need to shatter Beerus's power of destruction itself—something nearly impossible.

Even other Gods of Destruction struggle to break Beerus's full power.

Goku, now one with the golden dragon, could clearly feel just how terrifying Beerus truly was.

"Give it up, boy. Mortals will never defeat a god," Beerus said coldly, his eyes locked on the dragon.

He knew Goku could hear him.

Inside the dragon, Goku clenched his teeth, his body already pushed to its limit.

"Is it worth throwing your life away for a tiny planet like Earth?" Beerus asked again.

Those words hit Goku's heart like a blade.

A tiny planet? Earth was his everything. His home. His family. His friends. The place he swore to protect—even at the cost of his life.

In his last life, he failed to protect it. Not this time. Not again.

"Shut up… SHUT UP!!!" Goku roared from within the dragon, his voice shaking the heavens.

The golden dragon erupted, its light blazing brighter, and the pressure it released began to shift the battlefield.

Beerus's face twisted into a grin. "So you can push it even higher…? Good! Show me more!"

He poured out even more destructive power, trying to crush the dragon once and for all.

But this time, the dragon did not yield.

"Ooooouuuaaaaghhh!!!" The golden dragon's roar split the sky, filled with Goku's burning rage and unshakable will.

Beerus's eyes narrowed. "What?!" For the first time, he felt something dangerous.

He tried to press down harder, but no matter how much strength he unleashed, the dragon refused to be crushed.

Cracks split the destructive energy.

Then—

BOOOM!

The golden dragon shattered Beerus's attack, something the God of Destruction had never seen in his life.

"What?!" Beerus quickly crossed his arms, bracing himself.

But Goku didn't give him a chance.

The golden dragon surged forward, smashing into Beerus's chest, its power flooding into him like a storm.

In an instant, Beerus's body was blasted into the sky, dragged by the unstoppable dragon.

"STOP THIS GOD!!!" Beerus roared, his body bursting with divine power.

The golden dragon's body cracked apart from the destructive energy, breaking away and revealing Goku inside—his Super Saiyan 4 body glowing with fierce red hair and aura.

His fist pressed hard into Beerus's chest, power still exploding from him.

Beerus snarled. "I SAID STOP!!!" He slammed a fist into Goku's face, divine energy exploding with the hit.

But Goku didn't stop.

His eyes burned with willpower that refused to die.

"God of Destruction… don't underestimate mortals!!!" Goku bellowed, his voice echoing across the universe.

His Super Saiyan 4 power roared even higher, fusing with the Dragon Fist. The impact surged again, blasting Beerus further into space.

Beerus gritted his teeth, glaring at Goku. Destruction energy spread from his body, crawling up Goku's arms, burning into his flesh.

"How long can you last, boy?!" Beerus sneered.

But Goku didn't care. His body screamed in agony, being eaten away by destruction, but his spirit burned brighter than ever.

Even as his flesh broke apart, his will refused to surrender. His soul itself pushed past the limits of his body.

And then—at the spots where destruction ate at his skin—

a strange, glowing pink aura appeared.

The destructive energy began to dissolve, crumbling against this new power.

Beerus's grin vanished. His pupils shrank.

"No… it can't be…"

Before his eyes, Goku's form shifted again.

The fiery red hair of Super Saiyan 4 slowly turned pink, shining with divine brilliance.

His aura became sharper, purer—overflowing with godly power.

Beerus's eyes widened.

"Super Saiyan… God?!"

He hadn't expected this. His own destructive power, meant to erase Goku, had instead forced open the door to godhood.

Son Goku had been reborn in the middle of destruction itself.

This wasn't just a normal Super Saiyan God—it was Super Saiyan 4, fused with divine energy.

A new level beyond anything before—

Super Saiyan 4 God!

But Goku wasn't thinking about forms or power-ups.

In his heart, there was only one thought: Defeat Beerus.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!" Goku roared, his power exploding across the galaxy.

The golden dragon reformed around him, and the impact carried Beerus through space until they crashed into a massive star.

The moment they hit, the star collapsed, imploding and then exploding in a violent supernova.

The blast lit up the entire galaxy, swallowing planets and shaking the universe itself.

Far away, gods across the cosmos felt the shock.

On King Kai's planet, North Kai's jaw dropped.

He watched the battle unfold, his heart trembling.

"Goku… GOKU!!" he shouted, his voice breaking.

Pride swelled inside him—his disciple had gone further than he ever dreamed.

But fear cut just as deep. If this path to power meant losing Goku forever… then he wished it had never come to this.

But now, the situation had already happened, and there was nothing North Kai could do.

All he could do was pray that Goku wasn't killed in that terrifying explosion.

He also hoped that if Beerus really did defeat Goku, maybe he'd show mercy and spare his student.

In the Kaioshin Realm

As the only gods whose status matched the God of Destruction, the Supreme Kais couldn't just sit back after seeing such a huge disturbance in the universe.

Shin and Old Kai were watching the battle unfold, completely shocked by what they were seeing.

The power Goku had reached, and the sheer terror of Beerus, went beyond everything they thought they knew.

"Unbelievable… Goku has really become a god!" Shin said in awe.

"Elder… do you think Goku has a chance to beat Beerus?"

Old Kai sighed deeply, his face heavy.

He had lived long enough to know the truth: Beerus wasn't just strong, he was on a whole different level.

"Don't get your hopes up. As amazing as Goku is now, his power is still nowhere near enough to defeat a God of Destruction who is alive for 50 million years."

To be honest, Old Kai was happy Goku had pushed Beerus this far. It showed Goku was truly a warrior who could stand toe-to-toe with a god. But he knew the truth—this level wasn't enough.

"Then… Goku really can't beat him? Is this some kind of cruel joke?!" Shin trembled, unable to believe it.

Old Kai shook his head. "Listen, boy. You need to understand something. Never compare anyone—no matter how strong—to a God of Destruction of that time . Since the beginning of the universe, countless warriors have challenged them. Many were stronger than Goku is right now. And yet, they all fell. Not one survived."

His voice carried exhaustion and despair. To him, Goku's defeat was already written.

Back on Earth

On Bulma's cruise ship, everyone was frozen as they watched the image projected from Whis's staff.

The explosion had swallowed both Goku and Beerus. The silence was crushing.

"Goku's ki… it's completely gone," Master Roshi said with a trembling voice.

"Dad…!!" Gohan clenched his fists, his heart racing. He always believed his father could do the impossible, that he'd never die. But now, even he couldn't sense him.

"I can't feel him either… could Goku really be…" Krillin's voice broke. His hands clenched, then fell powerless to his sides. He knew he was too weak to change anything.

The Z Fighters kept searching, desperately trying to sense Goku's ki. But there was nothing. It was as if he had vanished from existence.

"Are you really dead… Kakarot?" Vegeta muttered as he stood at the ship's edge, eyes locked on the sky. His gut told him Goku wasn't gone. That blast wasn't enough to kill him. But if he was alive, Vegeta should still be able to feel him. Why had his energy completely disappeared?

"You don't need to worry," Whis suddenly spoke up, calmly dabbing his mouth with a napkin. "That explosion wasn't enough to kill Lord Beerus—or Son Goku."

Everyone turned toward him, hanging on his words.

"The reason you can't feel Goku's ki is because you're still mortals," Whis explained with a soft smile. "During his fight with Lord Beerus, Goku's body and soul transcended. He became a god. Unless you've reached that same level, you won't be able to sense him."

The group froze, realizing what he meant.

It wasn't that Goku was dead—it was that he had stepped into a new realm of power, one far beyond their reach.

Piccolo crossed his arms. "He's right. I can feel something faint… a divine ki. Whis isn't lying."

Vegeta cut in sharply. "Enough talk. Just watch. If you keep watching, you'll see the truth with your own eyes."

Out in space

At the far edge of the Northern Galaxy, the shockwaves from the star's explosion had faded. Only broken planets and drifting debris filled the void.

There, Goku and Beerus floated, only a short distance apart. Both stood tall, glaring at each other in the endless starry sky.

But Goku wasn't the same as before.

Through Beerus's destructive energy, he had broken past his own limits again. He had entered a new state—a fourth-level Super Saiyan God. His strength, his spirit, even his very life force had transformed.

Now, he didn't just fight in space. He lived as if he belonged there. His body carried the power of gods.

And as he looked at Beerus, his eyes showed it—his will, his horizon, his spirit—everything had gone beyond what a mortal should be.

The battle was far from over.
