Everything was changing too fast.
Matt Jisi could never have imagined that someone could destroy one of the Infinity Stones, the Cause Particle, so effortlessly. This was the Supreme Sacred Stone, formed since the beginning of the universe.
Thousands of years ago, the lord of the Asgardian God Domain—Odin's father, the previous God King—had wiped out the Dark Elf clan. He had hollowed out their heads but had not destroyed the Cause Particles. In desperation, he sealed them in a hidden space enchantment on Blue Star.
Matt had a hunch that the Tide Particle hadn't truly been destroyed. After all, this was a Holy Gem formed at the birth of the universe. Without the collision of equal supreme divine power, it was impossible to destroy it completely.
Yet even so, he knew that reuniting and fully restoring the Cause Particles in such a short period was nearly impossible.
And the most critical factor—"Zero 20"—was that the overlapping time of the Nine Star Fields was about to end.
Once that moment passed, the wait would be endless. He wouldn't have the time or the strength to try again.
This meant that the lifelong wish of the Dark Elf clan—their centuries-old dream—was completely slipping through his fingers.
"That's you! I'm going to kill you!"
Matt Jisi glared at Xu Fu, his face twisted with rage.
Even though the center of the particle-shrouded field distorted visibility, and he could only make out vague outlines of light, the young man from Blue Star in front of him—shyly calm—was the same voice he had heard in his heart at the beginning.
And in the vast, ruined battlefield, aside from Thor, who watched from afar, and a few Blue Star onlookers too timid to intervene, it was just Matt Jisi and Xu Fu, a small but unstoppable presence.
Xu Fu's calm voice floated across the field:
"Oh? Didn't you just keep asking me to act to cure you? Haven't I fulfilled your wish?
Of course, I have to say this first—if it weren't for your polite persuasion, I wouldn't have bothered. After all, you and your black briquettes don't deserve me wasting my precious fishing time on this gossip."
"You?!"
Matt Justice's face darkened, his frustration boiling. To be mocked like this—by someone so clearly weaker in stature but stronger in power—was unbearable.
"Human," he snarled, "I didn't expect to resort to this trick before the Nine Star Domains were destroyed… but now, to kill you, I'd sacrifice everything! I want you to taste the wrath of the gods!"
Matt Jisi summoned every remaining shred of the Cause Particles. Though Xu Fu had shattered them once, particles in their liquid state could still regroup. The energy was reduced, yes, but it could slowly rebuild over long years.
Even so, the torrent surrounding Matt Jisi was many times more terrifying than when he had fought Hammer Gosol.
His regrets and hesitations had been gone; this was his all-out assault. His clan's thousand-year-long wish, now obliterated by a single Blue Star youth, fueled his rage.
"Die!" he roared, sending countless black pillars like dragons surging into the sky.
Xu Fu, meanwhile, casually folded his fingers, counting the little gains he had caught from Wudu Taiwushi River over the past few days. Facing this furious black-faced man wasn't worth his attention.
"Die!" Matt Jisi bellowed again, gathering the storm of Cause Particles and charging at Xu Fu.
Xu Fu simply swung a left hook.
In an instant, the heavens shattered, the sky torn apart. The black torrent, once raging like an unstoppable force, was pierced as though by an ordinary nail.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
The Cause Particles, surging and thrashing, instantly collapsed into black smoke and rain for 2.7 days' worth of energy. Xu Fu, standing at the eye of the storm, was untouched, protected by a faint energy diaphragm.
It was like a pack of rats meeting a cat—all the fury in the world diverted around him.
Thor and Jennifer Sler, watching from the side, were stunned.
Even the black energy waves, which had previously overwhelmed the mighty Hammer Gosol—unrivaled among the Avengers—were now effortlessly neutralized by this young man.
Xu Fu had become the living embodiment of calm in the storm, a single flick of his hand turning the chaos into nothing.
