Chapter 13 - Beginning

The star is shining, it's powerful light piercing cloth, ignoring curtains, straight to Altaris now still glued eyes

It was morning, a beginning of a big day

The day he finally leave the manor

For a longest time that is

His eyes fluttered, taking the light bit by bit, making sure his eyes were ready enough to accept the light of the giant star in its full glory.

While in the meantime, he convene his muscle to sit, as way of transition, for the next he needs to stand straight, to be ready for what today has to offer.

There was a little problem tho...

Something or someone, was hindering his movement. Forcing him to find the source of his weakness, and his inability,

Pink hair, Blue eyes, and face filled with beauty. She just sat there, on top Altaris tummy, with eyes focused to him and him only.

She had rarely seen this side of him

Now, he looks so vulnerable, so genuine, so raw.

"So this is how he looks when he wakes up"

The thought crossed her mind.

Sadly, an interruption was forcing her to eject, out of her deep observing time. It's actually no other then his raw, hoarse, morning voice.

"What are you doing !"

"I'm waking you up, and observing you while at it"

"Gosh... even in the morning. Do you have no fear of my mother, has her threat already gone pass your head ?"

"What thread ?"

Hearing this, Altaris can't help but slap himself in the face.

"If she knew, She'll kick you out. Are you not afraid of it?"

"Oh...silly"

She smirks, latch with aura of disbelieve. How come her fiance, becomes this stupid in the morning.

"Today it's the start of academy, We'll be gone anyways. The threat, has finally become null. It cannot hold me any longer"

"What's next, you gonna kiss me ?"

So she leaned, resting her body on his, feeling his skin as their mouths pressed inch by inch. Caught in dance of desire and flesh. Their breath joined, stitched into a single melody. While her hands held Altaris cheeks, daring him to move even a bit.

Well, he can't. Cause his mind has short-circuited. Any thought that try to get in just - pouring out without barrier.

As he silently prayed that this moment would never reach the ending.

Unfortunately, it must.

Well, it's not complete without the heaviness in his heart. He's devastated.

"Why ?"

He murmured, low and silent. Alas, Violet hearing ware strong enough to collect the piece.

"Is my lips that tasty ?"

"Women, do you not know how powerful your charm is !"

"Sweet words...Altaris, quick-quick, mother has been waiting"

She confesses, feet land lightly on the ground. With a smile, her hand reaches in, intending to help her beloved.

He takes, so stand he is

He needs to be at his best, after all Academy entrances are no joke - noble and commoner thrown into one place. A lot of eyes, paired with even louder mouths. He's sure to attract a lot of attention, especially with Violet pressing him like shadow.

He'll also meet that pig

How dare he lust after his fiance

After taking a bath, as usual Violet helped him do everything. From picking his clothes to combing his hair. Of course, she dress him more neatly then usual

She needed to make sure her fiance is as handsome as he ever be

She wants to brag - she needs to brag - especially to her circle of noble friends, If you can even call them friends

And what's better to brag, then a fucking handsome mate

So she goes to work, combing his hair, perfecting his dress, helping him pick the best combination that she can possibly get from that wardrobe

That until she was sure that handsomeness was oozing from his every pore

Only then, she allowed him to rest, to walk with her for breakfast, to meet and say goodbye to his beloved mother

This day needs to be perfect - for her

Unfortunately, the way Violet helped him dress, was maddening even for him

Pure an hour of torture, He changed at least 15 times, until the fabric itself get Violet ever hard approval

Sure, he'd do everything for her, same like she would for him

but...a guy allowed to complain am i right ?

And he sure as heck can't complain to Violet

Usually, when they talked, Violet became his mental sponge. Every complaint, every bad thing happened in the day, Violet would always listen with care. Sometimes silently, sometimes a jab, to helped him brighten hismood.

He'd do the same for her

They compliment each other

But, looking at her...Not today

He's on his own, holding his complaint - Folding it, Puts it in his chest, locks it, and stores it in the deepest part of his heart.

Close to his male fantasy

And Violet - her excitement at all time high, he can't help to wonder what she was thinking

"How was your sleep ?"

His mother asked. They arrived at the dining room for breakfast. Different from before, the maids - almost all of them - stood around in circle. Wishing well before the departure of their young master. A few were missing, wondered where they might be.

"Sweet...mother, that was before someone barged in wake me up from my dreams"

Said Altaris, his eyes darted to the beauty beside him.

The remark jolted Violet, who, of course, in need to defend herself

"Altaris.... since when did you become a snitch"

"Don't worry dear, you're pardoned for today. But next time - no mercy. By the way, is everything ready ?"

"It's done... mother, while we're at it, might i ask how many we have ?"

Altaris said. Then like a switch has been flipped, the mood turned serious in an instant. No more joking, no more bantering. This time, they need to talk business

"3 noble and 27 commoners"

"Out of ?"

"700"

"Its lesser then i thought"

"The face, my dear, he's not exactly easy to convince. He loves humanity, less then before - yes, but still protect them from extinct"

"What about other race ? the other 300 ? do we got allies ?"

"Friendly, but not trustworthy, they know we exist. But can't pinpoint. And I wish to keep it that way"

"Don't worry too much Mother, I know what I'm doing"

"Good, now Violet - Don't just stand there, say something"

"Eh ?"

She jolted for the second time. drawing her attention away from the half-eaten stake. Altaris' conversation with his mother completely went over her head.

"You are his queen, soon to be. You are not his servant nor his slave. You the one who support him, and restrain him. That is your role, do you understand dear !"

The viscountess spoke. Right now, she was not a mother, nor a noble from the human lands. She was the queen - their queen. And this little speech was her way of pouring her experience into Violet - Her son's queen.

"Understand mother"

Violet answered, face down and meek. This side of her, was hard to get used to.

It's because she hardly showed it - the viscountess i mean

"Good, next time listen to it intently. You hear, you understand, you advice. You both in this together, two as one. So act like it !"

"Yes, mother"

Violet eyes were no longer on the table. Her vision hung low, looking at her thighs covered by the shadow of burden that slowly creeping in

Well, she only fifteen after all - Not fit yet to bear the weight of queen.

The sight drew a sigh of sympathy from the viscountess. Her hard attitude forced to falter. A sheath of regret began to fold, for having spoke such direct words to this shy little girl.

She is still little girl in her eyes - one from 5 years ago

"Oh... dear. I'm sorry, i didn't mean to hurt you. It was just... a little life lesson. Will you forgive me ?"

"Don't bother mother, she's stronger than you think. Look - she's loving the charade, what a snake she is"

Said Altaris with tone of joke. He knew Violet the most after all

"Tch"

"Cheeky girl, i like you more and more. Anyway, back to the point. After this, your carriage will pick you up, so ready your bearings. The servant will take your stuff and send it to the academy. And Dear, don't make too many enemies. You know your power, you know your reach. Don't bite more then you can chew. Can you do that for me ?"

"Certainly"

He answered with confident. His head churning, full of things he ought to do at the academy.

"Good, see you in six month"

With that, she let them go. Handing both her hands to the academy lap. Leaving the manor and all it's glory.
