SHIELD was incredibly efficient. Luke simply sketched out a framework, and after Nick went back to find the right people, they quickly produced a so-called "undisclosed version of the [Demon Follower Visa Act]. Then, a heated discussion ensued between Hebron's legal department and representatives of the Sorcerer Supreme regarding this [Demon Follower Visa Act].
Over the past few days, those responsible for drafting this bill, working within the officially endorsed SHIELD, have deeply felt the pain of being tortured by the client. To create a good impression on his new collaborators, Nick carefully selected a number of trustworthy professionals, signed various restrictions and confidentiality agreements beforehand, and offered them generous compensation. These professionals then enthusiastically stepped into this bottomless pit.
While forcing themselves to maintain their own values and remain calm, they worked together to create the first version in the shortest time, with the most professional qualities and the highest level, and handed the results to their three clients with smiles on their faces.
Then, they lived in dire straits of revision.
"I don't think this regulation is acceptable," said Lawyer A's father. Although he didn't know much about the regulations, he had the most opinions.
"I think we need to be more rigorous here and not leave any excuses or loopholes that can be attacked." These are Haibolun's group of well-dressed legal thugs with impressive records.
"Listen to the opinions of both sides." This was the final answer given by S.H.I.E.L.D., who thought they were in the same group as them.
So the drafting team accepted their fate and, under the urging of the three parties, worked tirelessly for more than two weeks. Finally, under the miserable circumstances where they were almost exhausted both mentally and physically and urgently needed rest and recuperation, the three parties reluctantly accepted the draft and designated it as the first version, which was also the trial version.
…
Nick led his men out of a portal. As they walked, he kept glancing at the circular portal, which looked like a swirling fireball. Like Dr. Stephen, he was completely captivated by it the first time he saw it. All his previous depression, resentment, and patience vanished the moment he stepped through the portal.
He even felt that Luke's cooperation hadn't disappointed him yet. This single portal alone had skyrocketed the Master's value and status in his heart! Hearing so much about Luke's abilities was nothing compared to experiencing them firsthand. If S.H.I.E.L.D. could master this method of teleportation, their efficiency and combat effectiveness would skyrocket immeasurably.
Unfortunately, his attempt was rejected by the wizard. This was a spell only wizards could master. So Nick's hope now lay with Luke. If he could share some of his magical knowledge with S.H.I.E.L.D., or create similar equipment, then Nick's wishes would be granted.
"What are you doing?"
The cacophony of machinery merged into a clanging metallic melody. Various pieces of engineering equipment, large and small, and members of the Heberon security team were bustling about. Nick, upon approaching and seeing this bustling scene, was momentarily bewildered. He glanced around and realized this wasn't the core of Heberon's industrial park. Thinking the mage had misplaced his location, he quickly turned and joined the accompanying mage, Wang Dao.
"This isn't the Heberon Industrial Zone. We're going there to find Luke, you know? Luke Field! The collaborator of your Supreme Sorcerer!"
The Wizard King glanced at Nick and said, "It's here. Luke is here." Then he took the lead and walked in a certain direction.
Nick was stunned by the other party's decisive words. He looked at the Mage King who was stepping forward, thought for a moment, and followed him with the two agents Phil Coulson and Hill.
They didn't walk far before they came to a metal building.
It was a cylindrical building with a diameter of about 30 meters and three meters above the ground. On it, Nick vaguely saw Luke's familiar figure that left a deep impression on him, and standing next to him was a bald man wearing a yellow robe, with only his back visible.
Under Nick's astonished gaze, a huge figure with intricate patterns, which were stacked on top of each other, looked like a large magic circle suspended in the air. Then there were ripples like trance water. A huge, ugly monster corpse, which could make people feel mental pain and erosion at a glance, fell from the formation diagram that had turned into a large portal.
"How come you guys are so ostentatious without being discovered by satellites in the sky and human cameras?" Nick quickly caught up with the Wizard King and walked up the stairs to the cylindrical building with him.
"This place is protected by the mirror world. The outside world cannot see or touch it." The Mage King gave the answer.
"Wait, what's the mirror world?" Nick asked urgently, watching the Mage King ascend the final step. However, the Mage King ignored his question. Under Nick's gaze, he bowed slightly to the bald woman in the yellow robe beside Luke.
"This is a demonic being that specializes in psychic powers. They live in the cracks of dimensional worlds. They're not dangerous, but they can be troublesome." The Ancient Mage King nodded slightly and continued with his previous words to Luke, "But I think it should meet your verification requirements. Its spirit won't wither with the death of its body. Many demonic beings possess similar traits. They are chaotic, evil, and tyrannical, but their spirits are exceptionally powerful."
"I can feel it." Luke's consciousness was warning him layer by layer. Even if he only looked at the monster before him for a few more seconds, he could sense a violent urge to destroy something. This was after it was dead. If it were alive, it would probably invade and control all the ordinary people around it once it entered a city on this planet. Perhaps the Ancient One's definition of "not dangerous" was based on her own strength.
"Put it in?" Ancient One's energy lifted up the fallen monster's corpse, looked at the wellhead that looked like a deep well, and asked Luke.
"Yes. If possible, it would be best to cast some magical seals." Luke took two steps back.
The demon's corpse, losing its energy support, plummeted to the depths of the well. Five full seconds passed before everyone heard the dull thud of its body hitting the bottom. Then, like a mechanical giant awakening from its slumber, the entire metal well hummed softly as layer after layer of metal gates sealed the corpse below.
The modified and upgraded mental energy collection device soon began to operate at high intensity. With a wave of Gu Yi's hand, a familiar coffee table, a familiar set of tea sets, and several chairs appeared in front of everyone in the deformation of the metal.
"If the verification is successful, I will go visit Odin. He used to be a fanatical warmonger. If you are willing to give him a share, the souls of those who died at his hands will be a huge source of energy." Ancient One said softly.
