Chapter 55 - It’s you, it’s you, it’s you…

"Roxxon Enterprises?" Nick Fury felt a surge of absurdity the moment he heard the answer. He looked at his agent with disbelief on his face and repeated, "Are you sure?"

"If the Intelligence and Surveillance Departments haven't made any mistakes," Phil Coulson said helplessly, throwing up his hands in response to his superior's question. He'd double-checked with them several times before daring to report to his director's office.

"Has Dario Agger gone mad?" After confirming the accuracy of the intelligence, Nick Fury, despite his refined character, couldn't help but seethe with anger. He gritted his teeth and sneered, "Is he warning us to stay out of his business? Or is he demonstrating force against us?"

When Nick Fury first heard this information, he naturally thought Dario Agger was crazy to dare to do such a thing. But thinking back on the work style and information he had collected about Dario Agger over the years, Nick Fury had to admit that the current head of Roxxon Enterprises was indeed a madman who would do anything to achieve his goal.

And the Roxon Enterprise that he manages does have this ability and technical strength!

For a suspicious person like Nick Fury, the fact that you can do this is enough for him to suspect you. If there is also a convincing reason, you will become a member of his blacklist. After all, this behavior is no longer just about being a super villain, but a declaration of war against him and his S.H.I.E.L.D.!

Phil Coulson remained silent. After his superior calmed down, he continued, "We've found the launch information for that satellite, and the records show it was a communications satellite."

"Huh, a communications satellite?" Nick Fury laughed angrily. "Who helped launch it?"

"Roxen has his own rocket technology," Phil Coulson reminded him. He had come here with sufficient intelligence preparation.

"Yes, I've always known Roxxon Enterprises to be vast and technologically advanced. I also knew its current leader, Dario Agger, was an ambitious, unruly scoundrel. But how dare he?" Nick Fury gritted his teeth. A military base being directly destroyed by a company's covertly launched satellite—even after witnessing plenty of absurdity over the years—was still absurd to Nick Fury.

"The last piece of information we received from the damaged base was some unconfirmed reports." Phil Coulson felt that if he added fuel to the fire, his superiors might become even more furious, but he couldn't stop talking. Unless he truly had no more information to share.

"Go on." Nick Fury raised his chin and motioned Phil Coulson to continue.

"Someone in the base discovered that the top management was dealing in contraband with certain individuals." Phil Coulson hesitated for a moment and said directly.

"What kind of contraband? Let me think, is that base on the uninhabited island in the Pacific used to store those contraband? Element Zero? Rubik's Cube Energy Crystal? Or," Nick Fury said at the end, his face dark and livid, "or, Gravitonium?"

"I'd like to say one of them, but sir, the fact is, we have all of the contraband you mentioned." Phil Coulson quietly took two steps back, and spoke cautiously under the gloomy face of his director whose breathing began to become heavy.

"It seems there are many people and things within S.H.I.E.L.D. that I don't understand." Nick Fury suddenly calmed down. "I'll give you some time to verify the authenticity of this information."

"It depends on how you want to confirm it. If you're referring only to the contraband," Phil Coulson said, "the information we received provides an address. There's a batch of contraband near New York Harbor that hasn't been shipped out yet."

"Then seal it up first." Nick Fury gave the order directly and coldly.

"Should I take people with me?" Phil Coulson pointed at himself.

"Of course, bring Hawkeye with you. His observation skills and strength can help you." Nick Fury nodded. "As for me? I will help you hold Dario Agger back. I will have a good talk with him."

A subsidiary factory of Roxxon Enterprises.

Dario Agger was conducting an inspection here with his men. He had received information that the Purple Man had begun its operations. He thought that perhaps he would soon be able to obtain the technology from the little guy named Luke. As for the possibility of failure? Dario Agger would not deny it, but given the success rate of the Purple Man's actions over the years, the possibility of failure was so low that Dario did not care about it.

He just needs to wait as he did before, waiting for everything to go on the right track as he planned.

As long as he could acquire the new energy technology and shares in the new energy company, he would be able to reap all the citizens' money! The companies' money! And the government's money! This would be his most proud and profitable business!

The ringing of the cell phone interrupted Dario Agger's reverie. He frowned, picked up the phone and looked at it, then waved his hand to disperse the people around him before answering the call.

"What's the matter?" Dario Agger asked in a deep voice.

"Don't you know what you've done?" A somewhat angry voice came from the receiver.

"Of course I know what I've been doing recently, but it's what I want to do, and isn't it what you support?" Dario Agger frowned.

"I support it? I don't support you using space-based satellites to destroy the SHIELD base! As a partner, you actually concealed information about this kind of weapon from us!" The person on the other end of the phone roared angrily: "The SHIELD base you destroyed belongs to us! Ours! Do you understand? We spent a lot of time and manpower to fill that base with our people. And you destroyed it all! You idiot!"

"What space-based satellite? Rockson has never launched that kind of armed satellite." Dario Ager's face turned cold, and he felt a little puzzled.

"Ha, you can tell Nick Fury this in person, maybe he'll believe you." The voice on the other end said sarcastically, "Nick Fury will find you soon. Remember, don't reveal our existence, or you know the consequences. Finally, I'm giving you a piece of advice. Get rid of those things in New York Harbor as soon as possible, and don't let Nick Fury get hold of any evidence."
