Chapter 54 - Attack, Intelligence

"It's wonderful."

Luke could only marvel as he scrolled through the Purple Man's memories of his service to Roxxon. He had prepared himself mentally beforehand, having already set a low bar, but the Purple Man and Dario Agger, in those memories, fiercely disdained that line.

You think this is low?

No, we can go even lower!

"How are you going to deal with him?" Jessica Jones, having been released, looked at the images with hatred. She appeared in some of them. After regaining consciousness, she watched the scenes of killings being carried out under the orders of the Purple Man, and a hint of regret and pain appeared on her face, which was full of hatred.

She now wished she could cut the Purple Man into pieces and make him try all the methods he had used on herself and other people he had controlled.

"I'm still thinking." Luke pointed to his head.

The Hanged Purple Man?

Will it be a bit heavy?

After a moment's thought, Luke put the issue aside for the time being. He had already completed the initial internal implantation, and under Luke's mechanical instructions, the other party couldn't possibly leave the White Queen's lab. The material wouldn't escape, and he would have plenty of time to consider the appropriate transformation technology later. Right now, he had to deal with Roxxon and its current leader, Dario Ager.

It was obvious that the other party would not give up, but Luke had no intention of engaging in any corporate confrontation or clash of underground forces with him.

It wasn't fear or anything else, but there was no need. The information left in Luke's memory by the Purple Man, coupled with the disappearance of the control power after the Purple Man disappeared, was enough to give Roxxon and Dario Ager a hard time.

"Perhaps, a second layer of insurance?" Luke's gaze shifted to a picture. It showed a secret underground base where Dario Agger was making some sort of deal with someone.

Monaco.

This is a mecca for racing enthusiasts.

The driveway is even right next to people's houses, so many people can just look out their windows to see the roaring race cars whizzing by.

This place attracts a wide variety of tourists every year, and its famous Monte Carlo circuit often hosts exciting car races. Today was no exception, or perhaps it was because of a certain person's presence that the race attracted even more attention! The broadcast rights alone have made the race operators raking in a fortune, and they are beaming with joy, practically worshipping a certain arrogant man like a god.

Although he's venomous, arrogant, and often puts others in a difficult position, he can bring huge benefits! In the face of such huge benefits, what does a venomous tongue matter? What does arrogance matter? What does being annoying matter? The venue manager's face was already beaming.

Of course, that was before.

Now that's a shock!

The race was interrupted, leaving the center of the track in a shambles. Tony Stark, his Mark V suit charred black, clutched an arc reactor, a device derived from his own technology, in a daze. Beside him lay the wreckage of overturned cars and those severed in half by some kind of high-temperature cutting weapon.

The police set up barricades around the stadium and were busy rescuing the wounded and restoring order. The person in charge of the stadium was going from heaven to hell. In any case, the person who had entered the stadium wearing a stadium work uniform and attacked Tony Stark was targeted by Stark Enterprises, and he would not be able to escape the management chaos.

If they lost the lawsuit, they might have to pay a large sum of money. Thinking of this possibility, the previously cheerful director of the stadium now wanted to shoot the intruder dead.

Some people's mood changes from happy to bad, while others' mood changes from bad to happy.

Justin Hammer stared intently at the scruffy man being led away by the police on the screen, his chest filled with ecstasy after escaping a desperate situation! Originally, he had chased Tony Stark here to see if he could cooperate with Stark and make an appearance at the official technology expo co-hosted by Stark, but unfortunately, he was directly confronted by Tony.

Before, Justin Hammer felt that he shouldn't have come, knowing clearly what kind of person Tony Stark was.

But now, looking at the man being dragged away on the screen, Justin Hammer felt that his ability to endure humiliation and make up his mind to come over was really a blessing from God!

See, without being able to obtain the energy and armor technology from either Heberon or Stark, God gave him a new path! A better, more powerful option that might even be on par with the previous two in the future.

Originally, he'd planned to wait for Tony Stark to return from the track race before going up and giving it his all. But now? Watching Tony Stark on the screen, his helmet off and the damaged Arc Reactor in his hand, Justin Hammer smiled and prepared to leave with his men.

He had a lot to do next. For example, where was the man he considered his "savior" imprisoned? Could he use some influence to transfer him to a prison operated by Hammer Military Industries? Or perhaps to another prison within his reach? If he could do that, many things would become much easier.

Find a scapegoat with a similar appearance and build, then stage a contrived accident in prison, and he could get that person out without anyone noticing. While the other person was already dead, he could use various methods to reach a "cooperation agreement" with them. Thinking of this wonderful idea, Justin Hammer's steps became even more hurried.

Three-wing building.

Nick Fury had just received intelligence that Tony Stark had been attacked. The intelligence was passed back by agent Natasha Romanoff, whom he had placed next to Tony. The information might not have been much earlier than the news was spread, but the details were more detailed than what was reported in the news.

"Anton Vanke."

Nick Fury stood in front of the French window, his hands behind his back, looking out the window, and a long-forgotten name came to his mind.

"Sir." There was a sudden knock on the door, and Phil Coulson hurried in, a look of worry on his face unusual. "Our military base on an uninhabited island in the Pacific has been attacked by what appears to be a satellite-based weapon. We've completely lost contact."

Nick Fury turned around and before he could say anything, he was so shocked by the information revealed by Phil Coulson that his one eye widened.

"Which country's space-based satellite is this?" Nick Fury's dark face was stern. He leaned forward with his arms on the desk, and stared at Phil Coulson who was standing in front of the desk with his only intact eye.

"It's not a certain country, it's—" Phil Coulson said a surprising name under his boss's stern expression: "—Roxxon Enterprises."
