Chapter 56 - Borrowing a Knife to Kill, Weapon

"Mr. Dario Aguer."

At the airport near the factory, Dario Agger, along with his employees and bodyguards, ran head-on into Nick Fury, who was leading a fully armed combat team. The five iron giants in his team, with their huge metal weapons with a sci-fi feel in their hands, were extremely intimidating.

"Isn't this Director Fury?"

Dario Agger, who had just handled some urgent matters remotely and passed on the orders he issued based on the information he had, was still worried and wanted to go to New York Harbor in person to solve the problem. When he saw Nick Fury striding towards him, wearing a black windbreaker and guarded by armed SHIELD soldiers, he also cried out in his heart that trouble was coming.

While the two had never openly interacted, they had met once or twice and had exchanged blows several times. Many of Roxxon's major official deals had been disrupted by S.H.I.E.L.D. Therefore, Dario Agger hated Nick Fury to the core. But he also knew how difficult and formidable the man before him could be.

While their pursuits may differ, their methods and approaches are essentially the same. They are all the kind of people who will do whatever it takes to achieve their goals! So-called morality and laws are difficult to constrain them. They always find ways to circumvent them, using a variety of methods to achieve their goals at all costs.

It's just that he is a businessman, pursuing profit.

Nick Fury belongs to the official side and pursues the so-called "order".

Dario Agger didn't see any difference between them. And people like him hated people like him the most! Especially when that person had status and the power to threaten his interests, it was even more annoying!

"I have something I want you to explain to S.H.I.E.L.D. Do you want to go with me, or do you want me to take you?"

Nick Fury didn't bother to exchange pleasantries. At his words, the S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers and elite combat teams, including the five Titans he'd brought along, all raised their weapons, aiming them at Dario Agger's men, who had also displayed various weapons. The atmosphere on the field was tense.

Dario Agger's face darkened for a moment, and he felt uncertain about Nick Fury's toughness.

The main reason is that he only has a small amount of intelligence now. He was informed that Roxxon's space-based satellite destroyed a base of S.H.I.E.L.D., and this base was painstakingly planned and obtained by his old friend in secret.

Has Roxxon Enterprises launched any space-based satellites?

Dario Agger can clearly say: Yes!

But it was a weapon of mass destruction, built with countless connections, a vast array of technical disguises, and a tremendous expenditure of manpower, material resources, and financial resources! It was his, and Roxxon Enterprise's, ultimate trump card! It was a weapon that only he could decide on and authorize!

Did he authorize its use?

No!

Dario Ager knew very well that he had not given the order to use this hidden space-based satellite!

Once this kind of thing is exposed, even with Roxon's size and connections, plus the help of old friends, it is difficult to determine whether he can deal with it.

Oh, he forgot that the space-based satellite that Rockson had just destroyed was the base that his old friend had worked so hard to build.

Fuck!

Dario Agger couldn't help but curse inwardly. He realized someone had created a huge problem for him! A problem so big that he might have to hide in seclusion for a long time and be investigated.

If it were now, could he and Nick Fury fight it out here?

He glanced at the five intimidating Titan suits, then at the elite squadron Nick Fury had brought with him, and finally at his own bodyguards. The enemy was well-prepared, while he was passively responding. If he resisted, they would easily wipe out his men. He wasn't afraid, but he also didn't want to inexplicably go from being the head of a business empire to a wanted man.

He doesn't like and doesn't accept that kind of identity change between heaven and earth!

"Have you thought about the consequences, Director Fury? Taking me away here is not a good thing. You will be under great pressure in the future." Dario Agger calmly adjusted his collar and smiled at Nick Fury, who had an expressionless face.

"That's my business, Mr. Agger." Nick Fury said with a cold face, motioning the two soldiers behind him to go over and bring Dario Agger over.

"I need a moment." Dario Agger raised his hands. He wasn't afraid of what Nick Fury might do to him. He had enough power behind him to put pressure on him. As long as he didn't gather enough evidence quickly, he would be forced to release him. He wasn't one of those ordinary people with no connections who could disappear, be captured, or anything like that during a S.H.I.E.L.D. mission.

The world is so unfair.

Of course, no matter what, this matter wouldn't be easy to resolve. Even if he could escape S.H.I.E.L.D. safely this time, he would still face subsequent trouble from the authorities. He would face various hearings, the cost of using his connections, and the potential for stricter oversight of Roxxon in the future. His position within Roxxon could even be shaken, and he might even face a prison sentence.

Thinking of this, Dario Agger hated the person who had set him up. He always set others up, but this time, someone had secretly set him up in a bottomless pit that he might never be able to climb out of!

"Don't take any unnecessary action, Mr. Agger. Do you know what you have done? Maybe someone will speak for you, but that should be your lawyer. This is the greatest privilege SHIELD can give you!" Nick Fury gestured arrogantly with his one eye, and the two soldiers who had stepped forward immediately moved their feet again, walked to Dario Agger, and grabbed his arms on the left and right respectively.

"Don't do this, it makes me feel like a criminal." Dario Agger struggled slightly and looked at Nick Fury.

"Until you prove your innocence, you are no doubt a criminal in my eyes. Listen, I know what kind of person you are and how you act. You are a bad guy, a rotten guy, and a man who will do anything to achieve your goals. Maybe you want to cover up something, but you shouldn't destroy that base!" Nick Fury stepped forward and said viciously in front of Dario Agger.

"I didn't destroy that base. It wasn't me." Dario Agger raised his head, looked into Nick Fury's one eye, and explained as sincerely as possible.

"Who believes it? Who can prove it?" Nick Fury shook his head.

"Listen, someone is setting me up to frame me! No matter how stupid I am, I will not use Roxxon's space-based satellite weapons to destroy the SHIELD base! I know this will bring more trouble! Even if I did it, I will definitely clean up the mess afterwards. I can't let you stand in front of me suddenly like this." Dario Agger argued.

"Sounds reasonable." Nick Fury shook his head again under Dario Agger's gloomy gaze, "But I choose not to listen. No matter how you deny it, that is Roxxon's space-based satellite weapon. Don't tell me you don't have a lock or something on the control of this weapon?"

Nick Fury retreated, signaling the soldiers to lead Dario towards the S.H.I.E.L.D. transport plane. The soldiers, armed with live ammunition, pointed their guns at Dario Agger's bodyguards and employees as they retreated, shielding their superiors.

"I think there may indeed be some unknown secrets here." Agent Hill, who got on the plane and began to retreat, said to his chief officer Nick Fury sideways in his seat.

"So what?" Nick Fury glanced at her and said, "Agent Hill, you have to understand that S.H.I.E.L.D. has lost a base! And it's obvious that the higher-ups won't easily allocate funds for us to make up for this loss."

"Roxxon?" Agent Hill looked at her director probingly. She believed he had caught the eye of the massive Roxxon corporation.

"Remember, Agent Hill, if the evidence is conclusive, Dario Agger will be sentenced and Roxxon will have to compensate for the corresponding losses. If something unexpected happens later and we have to release Dario Agger, then it is reasonable and logical that both Roxxon and he will have to bleed heavily. This is what the higher-ups would like to see." Nick Fury shrugged.

"That sounds inappropriate for someone of your status." Agent Hill was left speechless by his own director's shamelessness.

"I really like the saying, 'You don't know how expensive fuel and rice are until you manage the household.'" Nick Fury crossed his arms, resting them on his chest, and closed his eyes, beginning to doze off. "If I can get some guaranteed benefits while executing my plan, why not? Funding for the base reconstruction and the soldiers' pensions should be the responsibility of Roxxon and Dario, the ones who caused all this."

"All information has been sealed." The voice of the White Queen sounded in Luke's laboratory.

"Where are the traces?" Luke asked.

"No trace." White Queen replied.

"Nick Fury should thank me. After all, I helped him pass on so much intelligence. If he could just get hold of or crack Roxxon's mentally retarded intelligence system, the information in Purple Man's memory would be enough to make him invincible." Luke, the architect of all this, shrugged, shamelessly praising himself.

Dario Agger acted cautiously, but at best, he was exploiting loopholes in the rules, temporarily preventing anyone from finding him vulnerable. In reality, Luke considered his methods rather crude. Perhaps, in their eyes, his immense power necessitated no such caution; they simply needed to appear to be acting appropriately, and they would have no worries.

This kind of thinking led to his recklessness. Luke didn't exaggerate the information contained in Purple Man's memories, but simply compared the intelligence held by Purple Man with some of the information he had gathered from Roxxon's relatively retarded intelligence system, integrating them together and playing a trick of borrowing a knife to kill someone.

It's not often that you have the opportunity to use a tool like Nick Fury, who is easy to use and free of charge.

As for that base, it was almost entirely populated by brainwashed Hydra agents, and Luke had no mercy on these people.

I think that for a long time to come, the unscrupulous Mr. Dario Ager will be in trouble himself and will not be in the mood to cause trouble for his energy plan.

Especially now that Luke had just made some progress in his research, he didn't want to waste his precious time on intrigue and deception. Originally, these matters should have been handled by Ina Sandra, whose methods might be more ruthless in business. But since he had a good idea, Luke didn't mind taking advantage of it.

"Send Snooker over here."

Luke gave the order after the conversation.

"Mr. Snooker has been notified. It is estimated that it will take him ten minutes to reach the laboratory from the training ground." Queen Bai, who was monitoring the entire industrial park, quickly gave an answer.

Ten minutes later, Snooker came in. With him came Jessica Jones, who had been staying in Hebron for several days.

"Boss." Snooker stood beside Luke and saw his eyes fall on Jessica Jones. He explained, "Jones has been training with us these days. She plans to join the security department of Heberon. I think she's great."

"Stay in Hebron?" Luke was indifferent. After all, Jessica Jones's life was already miserable enough, and if she wanted to leave, Luke wouldn't force her to stay. He just wanted to keep some information secret for the time being. But if she wanted to stay, Luke wouldn't drive her away either.

"I'm a good fighter." Jessica Jones looked around, then curiously took out a solid metal stick from the back of her clothes, which might be used as a weapon. Under Luke's eyes, she exerted force with her arms and bent it into a U shape.

Luke looked at her speechlessly. He didn't know what was so good about this performance.

"I have no home to return to. My parents were in a car accident, and I killed my adoptive parents while under the control of the Purple Man." Jessica Jones's voice trembled a little.

"I remember you were a student at the senior high school before you met the Purple Man," Luke asked.

"I'm an adult." Jessica Jones assumed Luke meant she was still underage.

"Never mind, you'll get a job." Luke planned to leave the man to Ina, who was about to return. It was her responsibility anyway, and Jessica Jones had also experienced a synaesthesia-induced memory access. He glanced at Snoke and pulled out a transparent glass ampoule from his pocket, revealing a star-like azure liquid.

"Sci-fi particle-weapon meme, new enhancement, do you want to experience it?"
