Chapter 57 - Science Fiction Particles [Part 1]

Luke brought Snooker and Jessica Jones to a closed room in the laboratory. It was called a closed room, but it was actually a metal room about 20 square meters in size. The side facing them was made of bulletproof glass specially made by Hebolon, allowing them to see everything inside the metal room without any obstruction.

A little monkey is sitting quietly in the center of the metal house. Around it are a bunch of metal toys in the shape of cubes, cylinders, balls, etc. Next to the monkey is a metal tree for it to climb, play and exercise.

"This is the only experimental subject."

Luke looked at the little monkey trapped in the metal house and explained softly to Snook and the other man beside him.

"Excuse me, I don't see anything abnormal about it." Jessica Jones took a few glances and found that it was just an ordinary little monkey. The only characteristic was perhaps that it was quieter than other monkeys she knew?

"Don't worry, you'll see it soon." Luke stretched out his hand, pulling out a virtual screen from thin air. He adjusted the lighting inside the metal room and made the special bulletproof glass visible on both sides instead of one. Then, under the watchful eyes of Snooker and Jessica, he stepped forward, curled his fingers, and gently tapped the glass wall of the metal room.

The change in light and Luke's behavior quickly attracted the attention of the little monkey in the metal house. Holding a metal ball in its hand, it moved curiously to the glass wall, squatted quietly on the ground, and looked at Luke obediently.

"BOSS, do you like small animals? They look cute." Jessica, who had been allowed by Luke to join Heberlen, followed Snooker's example and changed Luke's address to "BOSS". She took a step forward, squatted down, and subconsciously put her palms on the glass wall, making sounds to tease the animals and attract their attention.

Jessica Jones's behavior and voice successfully attracted the little monkey's attention from Luke to her. However, the little monkey, who looked docile in front of Luke, seemed to be irritated when he saw her. He suddenly jumped up and opened his mouth wide to bite Jessica Jones's palm that was pressed against the glass wall.

The suddenness and swiftness of the attack, like lightning, caught everyone off guard. Even Snooker, standing nearby with a slight sense of scrutiny and vigilance, couldn't help but shrink his pupils. Jessica Jones was so startled by the monkey's sudden attack that she instinctively stood up. It wasn't fear, but simply a natural reaction to such a sudden attack.

If it weren't for the thick layer of special bulletproof glass blocking it, the monkey's bite might have directly hit Jessica's palm. And seeing the flash of metallic color in the monkey's mouth as it bit down, Jessica Jones didn't hesitate to suspect that the monkey might be able to bite a piece of flesh from her hand.

"What's going on? Its teeth!" Jessica Jones's face was still filled with shock as she turned to look at her new boss. She didn't have much knowledge, but she knew this little monkey wasn't normal!

However, before Luke could give an answer, the little monkey who had failed in the sneak attack in the metal house seemed to be enraged. Under the ghostly gazes of Snooker and Jessica, the little monkey's paws emitted a blue light, and the silver-white metal ball held in its palm seemed to have life under the blue light. It quickly dissolved under the gazes of the two, and then as it dissolved, it quickly turned into parts and began to deform.

Finally, a small metal gun appeared in the little monkey's hand.

Bang bang bang!

The much weakened sound of the gunshot still reached Snooker and Jessica's ears clearly. The ghostly looks on their faces did not dissipate at all. They saw that the little monkey who fired three shots seemed to be very annoyed about the unbreakable glass wall. As the two people's eyes widened, the azure light in the little monkey's hand became more dazzling. The pistol that had just been assembled dissolved again, and then turned into metal particles and reassembled into parts, and then the parts were assembled into a huge cannon barrel.

The whole process is smooth and pleasing to the eye. You can clearly see the composition and assembly of each part, and immerse yourself in the beauty of the mechanical integration. In fact, this change only happens in an instant.

"Damn it!"

Seeing the dazzling light emanating from the barrel, Snoke cursed subconsciously and tried to pull Luke away. However, the dazzling laser was faster than his movements, and instead of the laser overflowing, it was refracted.

"Don't worry, this is special glass, it's not just bulletproof." Luke pushed Snooker away, knocked on the glass wall, and said calmly.

"Is this your creation?" Jessica Jones was a little enlightened.

Looking at the little monkey who was slashing back and forth on the glass wall with cold weapons such as a dagger, sword, shield, and axe, Jessica still didn't understand how the metal ball turned into various weapons in the little monkey's claws, and what exactly was that ball of blue light?

"What's this?" Snooker suddenly exclaimed. Under the azure light, the little monkey in the metal room began to transform from flesh and blood into metal. In the blink of an eye, the little monkey with shiny fur had transformed into a sharp metal monkey with sharp teeth and a sharp tongue.

Snooker knew that his boss had a lot of black technology in his hands. The previous synesthesia system and human-machine integration technology had already amazed him, but he did not expect that his boss could now transform carbon-based life into silicon-based life?

"Is this true, BOSS? Or is this originally a metal monkey, like Rude, one of your mechanical creations? That was just its disguise, and now it's its true appearance?" Snoke asked Luke in disbelief.

"It was originally a selected experimental monkey, worth twenty thousand dollars." Luke shrugged. "It's just like you would imagine, a living being of flesh and blood. It can get hurt, bleed, and die."

"You modified it?" Snoke frowned. It wasn't that he had a problem with this technology, but he was somewhat resistant to becoming a machine. Perhaps in the future, he would join some of the company's enthusiasts in the quest for a semi-mechanical or even fully mechanistic body, but for now, he felt that being human was fine. He wasn't sure if becoming a machine would still allow for human emotions.
