Chapter 42 - Ina's Business Philosophy [Part 1]

Nick Fury walked out of the police station with a dark face, got into his car in a hurry, and then closed the car door in full view of everyone.

"Drive," Nick Fury said.

"Okay, boss." Phil Coulson, who was sitting in the driver's seat, looked very serious. He rarely had his signature smile on his face. Instead, he started the car with an expressionless face.

"Laugh if you want. I know this is embarrassing." Nick Fury snorted coldly, observing Phil Coulson's feigned seriousness in the rearview mirror. Since becoming Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., this was the first time he'd been brought in as a criminal for questioning. Unsurprisingly, he was going to become famous in the community.

hide?

Nick Fury held his forehead with his hand in a headache. Ever since he had someone bring him out, it had become difficult to conceal the truth. He could already foresee the possibility of his social demise in the future.

"Oh, I heard that Nick, you were taken to the police station as a criminal for breaking into a private house?"

Thinking of this greeting between acquaintances, Nick Fury couldn't help but want to curse "little bastard" again!

"I thought you guys were having a great chat." Phil Coulson still firmly suppressed the smile on his face and replied with an unchanged expression.

"We had a pleasant chat," Nick Fury replied, leaning back in his chair, his eyes closed. "There were some twists and turns, but in the end, he didn't reject my proposal."

"Then?" Phil Coulson started to ask, but then stopped himself. He originally wanted to ask, "Then why were you taken away from his villa by the police?"

Phil Coulson was deeply curious about this question, a curiosity that tingled deep within him. Even those lower-ranking agents who committed crimes while on duty wouldn't be taken to the police station? How embarrassing would that be for the organization?

"I know what you want to ask, Agent Coulson." Nick Fury's voice was calm: "You can treat it as an accident that no one wants to see happen."

"Okay, then about Luke Field..." Phil Coulson understood and stopped asking questions. He was afraid that if he continued asking, his time at S.H.I.E.L.D. would be in jeopardy.

"You will be responsible for contacting people first." Nick Fury casually gave an errand.

"But I'm in charge of the rich man now." The rich man that Phil Coulson mentioned was Tony Stark. After all, he was the one sent by SHIELD to contact Tony and Pepper Potts in the beginning. Logically speaking, he should be the one to continue the contact later.

"Those who are capable should do more work. I have other arrangements with Stark." Nick Fury insisted.

"Well, you're the boss, you have the final say." Phil Coulson shrugged. "Then what should I be careful about? He can't be more difficult to deal with than the rich man, right?"

"Him? A very clever little bastard." Nick Fury closed his eyes again: "Don't let him catch you. He is very good at using the rules to embarrass you. Just like me today."

An island training base of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The huge transport helicopter slowly landed on the tarmac, the rear hatch opened, and Snoke and three soldiers jumped out, carrying a large metal box. Then, Luke and Ina walked down from the helicopter. Behind them were two powerful-looking transport vehicles.

"Welcome, Mr. Field and Ms. Sandra." Phil Coulson, his shiny forehead exposed, came forward to greet them against the wind. "I'm Phil Coulson, and I'll be the person responsible for communicating with you from S.H.I.E.L.D."

"Mr. Coulson." Ina Sandra shook the hand that Cole handed over.

"We have intelligence channels saying that Heybollen Industries has technology similar to Stark's Iron Man suit." Phil Coulson looked at the two men with a probing look.

"The intelligence is correct." Ina Sandra was obviously the mastermind behind this incident.

After exchanging greetings, they took a car to the training ground together.

"Want to experience Tony's Iron Man suit?" Ina Sandra looked at the soldiers lined up on the field, waved her hand, and started the two cargo transport vehicles behind her. Under the astonished gaze of the crowd, two iron giants over three meters tall walked step by step towards them in the training ground.

"Looks a bit like Iron Monger?" Phil Coulson sighed as he looked at the huge body that required him to look up to see it in its entirety, shielding his eyes with his hands.

"It's different from the shoddy stuff that Iron Monger made. The machinery and weapons produced by Heberon Industries are renowned worldwide," Ina Sandra corrected Phil Coulson. She would prevent anything that might affect Heberon's reputation.

Shoddy workmanship?

Phil Coulson didn't know whether to laugh or cry when he heard this. He didn't think that Iron Monger, who could beat up Tony Stark in his Iron Man suit, could be any shoddy product. But he wouldn't refute Ina's words.

"Can I arrange for someone to experience it?" Phil Coulson asked tentatively.

"Of course. But it doesn't carry any weapons. If you need to install weapons, you can tell us your needs." Ina Sandra pulled Luke back a step and signaled Phil to go ahead.

For the next hour, everyone present watched as the two massive metal giants moved back and forth across the training grounds, performing various maneuvers, including simple physical attacks and corresponding protective tests. Phil Coulson was very satisfied with the results. If equipped with a weapon system, these two behemoths would be unstoppable killers.

He naturally transmitted the test video to his own director, and Nick Fury was also very satisfied with it. So the two of them got down to business.

"Name your price, Miss Sandra." Phil Coulson, who had obtained the high authority of his own director, directly asked Luke and the others to start quoting.

"Five hundred and forty million US dollars for the bare metal." Ina Sandra showed a charming smile on her beautiful face.

Then the smile on Phil Coulson's face became a little stiff.

"Five hundred and forty million? US dollars?" Phil Coulson repeated Ina's offer.

"It's just a bare metal! If it needs to be modified and loaded with weapon modules, the cost will increase depending on the situation." Ina Sandra ignored Phil Coulson's petrified expression and counted on her slender, transparent fingers, reciting the costs that made Phil's scalp tingle. "The annual maintenance cost is at least 30 million."

"Thirty million?" Phil was a little surprised.

"Every one!" Ina Sandra corrected.

"This price is too expensive, Miss Sandra." Phil Coulson looked at Luke for help, but Luke didn't even look at him. His eyes were fixed on the two huge metal giants on the field, as if there was something on them that attracted him.

"It's not expensive at all, Agent Coulson. Do you know that the cost of materials alone is at least close to 300 million US dollars? We're already offering a discounted price!"
