Chapter 43 - Ina's Business Philosophy [Part 2]

"This discount is based on the fact that you placed a large order for titanium alloy materials with Heberon before." Ina Sandra added under Phil Coulson's suicidal gaze.

SHIELD had indeed placed an initial order with Hebron for approximately fifty tons, worth billions of dollars! It was this order that made Ina Sandra see SHIELD as a key to wealth. Now, when she talks about doing business with SHIELD, her eyes light up with excitement. God knows how timely this money came!

At least for the next three or two months, she would definitely be relieved of the pressure. In a few months, once the two cash cows, metal prosthetics and new energy, were online, she might be able to breathe a little longer. But considering the company's tendency to burn through money, as Luke could only make as much as he had, Ina wasn't sure.

"We can use inferior alloy materials." Phil Coulson suggested helplessly.

"Hybolun Industries has never sold inferior products in military orders. We use the best technology and materials available, which is why our products are so highly sought after." Ina Sandra's eyes turned dangerous. "Do you want to destroy Hybolun's reputation?"

"But..."

Phil Coulson had just opened his mouth when Ina forcefully interrupted him. "No buts. Believe me, these are our creations. When Heybollen manufactures them, they are impeccably balanced products after careful consideration of every aspect. Changing any aspect will significantly impact their performance. Unless you want to pay a high price for a large metal toy with a high breakage rate."

"As far as I know, the cost of building a Mark II for Stark is only about 200 million US dollars." Phil Coulson retorted in frustration.

"But he's not selling his technology to you, is he? Technology is priceless!" Ina Sandra argued confidently, "Besides, Stark's Mark series Iron Man suit also uses Heberon Industries' new titanium alloy series. You're only talking about the cost price. Our Iron Titan series uses more than twice as much material as the Mark suit!"

"Damn the seller economy," Phil Coulson sighed painfully. He could already sense the dire consequences of being harshly exiled and targeted by his own director after this deal was concluded.

"Unique." Ina Sandra smiled brilliantly. Although her smile was beautiful, in Phil Coulson's eyes, it was nothing less than the smile of a devil.

"Alright, alright, let's get on with the negotiations." Faced with exclusive technology, what could Phil Coulson do? He'd naturally just lie low. There were still further talks to be had, so he'd leave it to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s negotiators and Heberon's renowned commercial department to wrestle. What if there was hope for a discount?

"We don't need its intelligent control system. We have our own system." Phil Coulson asked.

"Of course there is no problem. But out of kindness, I must solemnly remind you that only Haibolun's intelligent system can perfectly adapt and bring out their full performance. If there is a malfunction due to system problems in the future, we at Haibolun will not bear any responsibility." Ina Sandra nodded in agreement and quickly applied a patch.

"Yes. If you are willing to sell the matching intelligent system code..."

"I'm sorry, but because this involves the core secrets of the White Queen of Heberon, we can't grant this request." Ina didn't let Phil Coulson finish his words before rejecting his proposal. "Similarly, we won't reduce the price of the intelligent system."

"Then the next question is, what energy source does it use? High-density batteries? Or arc reactor technology similar to Tony Stark's?" Phil Coulson's face became much more serious when he asked this question.

Hearing this, Ina Sandra once again put on the bright smile that frightened Phil Coulson: "Diesel!"

"I'm sorry, Miss Sandra, I think there's something wrong with my ears. Could you please repeat what you said before?" Phil Coulson looked dazed, with an expression of disbelief as if to say, "Are you kidding me?"

"Diesel powered." Ina repeated happily.

"Diesel, is it the kind of diesel I was thinking of?" Phil Coulson looked blankly at the two metal giants who were still active on the field. There was still a little hope left in his heart, and he asked for confirmation without giving up.

"Yes, it's what you think." Ina gave full affirmation to Coulson's confirmation.

"Please don't joke with me like that, Miss Sandra." Phil Coulson pointed at the thing on the field. "Even if I don't understand the technology, I know that diesel as an energy source is difficult to use for this thing, right? Even if you say it's some high-density battery produced by the Hebron Laboratory!"

Luke Field quietly retreated a little further away. He could understand Coulson's despair, but what could he do? It had been his own idea to spend the money to develop a miniaturized version of the Storm Crimson diesel engine. He had originally intended to keep it as a souvenir, then discard it into the White Queen's technology storage at Heberon.

If Ina hadn't dug it out, Luke would have almost forgotten this technique.

At Ina's insistence, the first generation of mass-produced Titan suits used diesel as their energy source. Although Heybolon possessed superior energy technology and had at least two generations of technology in reserve, Ina was heartbroken to see a new technology eliminated before it had even turned a profit.

Anyway, it's an exclusive deal now, so let's use it for now. When competitors emerge, we can upgrade it and directly eliminate the diesel-powered Titan and sell a wave of new technology! If it doesn't work out, we can always find other ways to modify it, license it, or sell it to a car company, oil tycoon, or something like that.

"Believe me, this is the latest diesel energy technology from Heberon Industries. Although it's not as good as Stark's arc reactor, it can easily drive this thing to fight at full power for several hours. It's also quite convenient to supply." Ina Sandra's words once again hit Phil Coulson speechless.

Because that's the truth. Putting aside the diesel-powered stuff, this iron thing actually looks pretty good. Its energy level is still above 80%. But no matter how you think about it, diesel-powered is just too ridiculous!

It's like a mothership capable of interstellar travel, but it doesn't use dark matter nuclear fusion, but oil, an energy source that should be eliminated in interstellar technology. It's really surprising.
