Tracy gripped her hands together, her heart pounding.
"I… I don't," Daniel said firmly.
The room erupted in gasps. Even Tracy herself looked up, shocked and confused by what she had just heard.
"I'm sorry, Daisy," Daniel continued as Daisy's smile faded instantly. "I didn't know you were in love with me. I never did. I only ever loved you as a sister, nothing more. My heart belongs to someone else.
Someone sweet, caring, understanding… a little jealous, but lovable. Someone I want to spend the rest of my life with. Someone I want to grow old with, to have children with. Someone I would give the moon to, if she asked. Someone I want to share all my adventures with, someone I want to wake up beside every single day."
His eyes softened. "Daisy, that person isn't you." He turned then, gaze falling on Tracy. "The one who has been in my heart for the past seven years, the one I've been in love with all this time… is her."
Daniel walked toward Tracy, took her trembling hands, and knelt before her. "And that someone is you. Tracy… will you marry me?"
Before Tracy could respond, Daisy rushed forward, only to be stopped by a line of bodyguards.
Mirabel smirked coldly, her eyes sharp as ice, "yes" while Daniel rose and pulled Tracy into his arms, sealing his words with a kiss.
"Don't worry, everyone," Daniel announced firmly. "I'm still getting married."
Tracy, still trembling, whispered, "What are you doing? I'm not prepared…"
"You don't have to worry about that," Mirabel said smoothly, guiding her toward the dressing room where makeup artists and stylists waited.
"Get to work, everyone," Tracy heard faintly, though her gaze was locked on the wedding gown displayed before her.
"You… you knew about this?" she asked Daniel in disbelief.
Flashback
"What do you mean?" Mirabel asked curiously.
"I was going to propose to her today," Daniel admitted. "And marry her officially."
Mirabel's eyes darted to the gown. "If you love her, then buy the wedding gown," she said simply.
Daniel paused, remembering. "Don't worry about that. When we went to choose the dress, she fell in love with one in particular. But when she asked about it, we found out it was the most expensive gown in the store. She adored it so much."
"Oh, perfect. How much was it?" Mirabel pressed.
"Sorry," Daniel said gently, "but I've always wanted to be the one to buy her wedding dress—so that someday she can pass it down to her daughter. That moment should be mine to give her. But don't worry, I'll find a way to make it happen without her even realizing."
Mirabel tilted her head with a smirk. "Alright… but what about me? It seems I'm not in your plan."
Daniel chuckled softly. "Let's go shopping for suits."
