Chapter 85 - CHAPTER 84

The Ceremony

The priest stepped forward, his voice calm and resonant.

"We are here today to join these two souls in holy matrimony. They have pledged to love, honor, and cherish one another for the rest of their lives. Let us pray."

Lucian and Mirabel bowed their heads along with the guests, hands entwined.

"I ask God for His blessings on this day, to bless this marriage."

"Amen," everyone replied in unison.

Lucian tightened his grip on Mirabel's hand, their eyes meeting, both hearts steady yet trembling.

"Now, Mirabel and Lucian," the priest continued, "it is time for you to make your vows."

He turned to her.

"Mirabel, do you take Lucian as your lawfully wedded husband, to love, honor, and cherish him for the rest of your life?"

Her eyes softened as she gazed at Lucian. "I do."

The priest's gaze shifted to Lucian.

"And Lucian, do you take Mirabel as your lawfully wedded wife, to love, honor, and cherish her for the rest of your life?"

Lucian kissed her hand before answering. "I do."

The rings were exchanged, their fingers trembling slightly as they slid them into place. The priest smiled warmly.

"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Lucian lifted her veil gently and pressed a tender kiss against her lips. Mirabel's heart swelled, the room erupting in applause and cheers. When they pulled away, Lucian laced his fingers through hers and led her down the aisle.

Outside, Mirabel tossed her bouquet high into the air. It landed neatly in Tracy's hands, who grinned brightly as the crowd cheered again.

After the Ceremony

Back at the mansion, Mirabel was guided to her room by two maids. They carefully removed her wedding gown and dressed her in her second outfit — a flowing white dress with a faint blue sheen. Once ready, she dismissed them, letting her hair fall loose as she touched up her makeup with a simple, softer glow.

When she turned, Lucian was already changed into a fresh suit. He walked over, slipping his arms around her waist from behind, his lips brushing her cheek.

"I really just want you all to myself right now," he murmured.

Mirabel smiled, placing her hands over his. "Lucian, I'm yours for life. You can have me whenever you want. But right now, we can't keep everyone waiting for the after-party."

He chuckled, stealing another kiss. "Fine… but one more."

She leaned in, gave him another quick kiss, and whispered, "Okay. Let's go."

Hand in hand, they left for the car, heading to the hall.

The After-Party

The hall glowed with soft lights and music as they entered. Tracy rushed forward, hugging Mirabel tightly.

"You look so beautiful right now."

"Thank you," Mirabel said warmly, smiling as more guests gathered to congratulate them.

Suddenly, Lucian tugged her closer, whispering in her ear.

"I have a surprise for you."

Her brows lifted. "What is it?"

"Look over there."

The lights dimmed, leaving only a single spotlight at the center of the stage. Standing beneath it were four girls, each holding a mic. The crowd hushed in anticipation.
