Black Hound didn't question him—not even for a second.
"Captain, cover his movements for me. I'll go in for the strike. My technique should be able to deal serious damage," Yusuke said firmly.
"Understood. I'm counting on you," Black Hound replied without hesitation.
Fire Release: Dragon Fire Jutsu!
Black Hound moved fast, forming hand seals in a flash. A stream of fire in the shape of a roaring dragon shot toward the Cult Leader.
But with a swift spin of his massive scythe, the Cult Leader sliced through the fire like it was nothing.
Lightning Release: Ground Walker!
Yusuke channeled a current of electricity through the earth beneath their feet. The Cult Leader's body seized up, a wave of numbness washing through him.
Right then—
Earth Release: Quicksand Swamp!
The ground beneath him turned into a sucking pit of mud, pinning his legs down.
Parasitic Binding Jutsu!
Water Release: Syrup Capture Field!
Aburame Shisei and Honda Kaori joined in, launching their respective binding jutsu. The enemy was locked down tight.
Seeing the perfect opening, Yusuke dashed in with explosive speed, fist pulled back.
The Cult Leader raised his scythe and swung instinctively. But Yusuke wasn't interested in a head-on clash.
He used Shave, vanishing and reappearing behind the man. The Cult Leader couldn't turn to counter—he was completely immobilized.
And yet... in a shocking move, he cut off his own legs.
Yes. He severed both of his own legs—just to spin around and block the incoming attack.

"That's right," Yusuke replied, his voice low and steady. "But this time... you die."
The fractures deepened. The walls of the cave began to shake violently.
From afar, Black Hound watched, stunned.
So this is... that kid's power? Unbelievable…
He'd never seen anything like it before. Not even from Sannin-class shinobi. The entire cavern started to collapse from the pressure alone.
"Everyone! Get out! Now!!" Black Hound roared.
"Hahaha! Even if I die, Lord Jashin will avenge me!!" the Cult Leader cackled like a madman—his body shattering from the inside out under the force of Yusuke's devastating tremor punch.
With no time to lose, Black Hound rushed in, grabbed Yusuke's unconscious body, and leapt out of the collapsing cave with expert agility.
They made it just in time.
"Captain! Are you okay?!" Inaka asked, running up as they exited.
"We're fine. He just passed out," Black Hound said, brushing it off calmly.
"I see... Thank goodness..." Inaka sighed, relieved.
With their mission complete, the group returned to the Hidden Hot Water Village. Though the village had lost a Jōnin during the operation, the people welcomed the Konoha team with cheers and gratitude.
They even offered for them to stay and rest a few days as honored guests.
But Black Hound politely declined.
"We'll leave as soon as the boy wakes up."
The villagers nodded in admiration.
"As expected from the Leaf... a village where true prodigies are born."

Back in bed, Yusuke slowly opened his eyes.
He didn't waste time.
"System. Mission complete?"

From outside his room, the others heard a loud crash.
They exchanged glances—confused, but unsurprised.
"...Just Yusuke being Yusuke."

The next morning, Yusuke woke up feeling... different.
No—stronger.
His chakra had grown to the level of a full-fledged Chūnin. His physical stats had skyrocketed.
He could feel it in every fiber of his muscles.
With just his body alone, he was now confident he could take on a Tokubetsu Jōnin and win.
His mental fortitude hadn't changed much—after all, ever since unlocking Conqueror's Haki, his spirit had already reached terrifying levels.
But the Chop-Chop Fruit gave him a powerful physical upgrade.
