Chapter 26 - MiHoYo’s Attention to Detail Is Killing Me, I’m in Tears~

[Damn! The story hits the climax right at the start?!]

[6666, I got so hyped watching this that I kicked my family's plowing ox aside and tilled two acres myself.]

[6666, I got so hyped watching this that I pinned my boss to the ground and beat him up—my coworkers were all stunned.]

[6666, my little brother said he didn't feel hyped at all. Well… now I'm an only child.]

...

Unlike the barrage of comments in the livestream chat, Eden felt something was off.

"I remember… weren't Himeko and Tesla captured? How come they're suddenly in S-rank battlesuits?"

"Just keep playing and you'll find out~" Elysia grinned as she pushed the keyboard toward her. "Eden, why don't you take control of your favorite Auntie Himeko~"

Eden didn't refuse. Taking the keyboard, she first spun Himeko around for a full 360-degree view.

"This suit design is really impressive…" Eden wasn't shilling for Honkai Impact 3rd.

She genuinely liked the battlesuit.

The deep crimson primary color, accented with dark armor plating, looked deadly yet still stylish.

Seductive without being gaudy, it highlighted Himeko's figure perfectly without being revealing. The winglike cloak behind her added a sense of dominance to the look.

If Herrscher of the Void's outfit made one feel noble and divine, too sacred to desecrate—

then Himeko's was pure combat armor.

It showed her beauty, but more importantly, anyone who saw her would immediately know—this was a powerful warrior.

This was a design Mo Li had specifically fine-tuned in the system for the girls' sake.

Not as revealing as the original, yet losing none of its appeal.

Eden swung Himeko's greatsword, the slashes howling through the air.

Like chopping melons and vegetables, she quickly cleared out all the Deadwalkers and Honkai beasts.

"Wah~ so strong!" Elysia's eyes sparkled. "This is even stronger than Herrscher of Thunder's Shadow Knight~"

Eden smiled and nodded. "It really is amazing."

She found herself liking the character more and more.

Next, Eden clicked into the second stage. Once the game loaded, the plot finally synced with Chapter Eight.

The Queen descended, obliterating a swath of Anti-Entropy mechs, until only Mei and the Herrscher of the Void remained.

Thankfully, at the critical moment, Theresa arrived with a Divine Key for support.

"Eh? This stage actually lets me play as the Queen to fight Theresa?" Eden was surprised.

So the game even let players control villains to battle the protagonists.

But right now, she was looking forward to trying out the Herrscher of the Void. The livestream audience was just as excited.

As the stage finished loading, that iconic voice rang out—

[The Honkai descends~☆]

After some dialogue, the battle finally began.

Attack, dodge, combo branches—

This was essentially Honkai 3rd's first true ranged character.

"The attack feedback is so sharp, and the flow is so smooth…" Eden muttered, controlling the Queen to completely trash Theresa.

When the energy gauge filled, she instinctively hit the ultimate skill button.

The screen cut—

The Queen soared into the air, spatial rifts cracking open behind her.

With a voice that dismissed all existence, she uttered the classic line:

"Now is the time… of judgment~☆"

The next instant, overwhelming barrages of cannon fire poured out from the rifts.

The chat exploded.

[Holy shit!! That move!!]

[This ultimate is gorgeous!! Love it!!]

[Was that necessary… putting this much effort into just one ultimate? But damn… MiHoYo really went all out~]

[The snap + the ultimate, compared with the CG, it's practically one-to-one! Must pull!]

[MiHoYo just wants to bleed me dry, wuwuwu~~]

...

Just like the chat, Eden was stunned.

This game really was unlike anything else on the market. The dev team's dedication was overwhelming.

A fully fleshed-out world, an excellent story, meticulous details… maybe it was exactly that commitment that made the immersion so strong.

Shaking off her wandering thoughts, Eden pushed on with the story.

The Herrscher of the Void was simply unstoppable.

Theresa was defeated, and Mei's Herrscher Gem was seized.

Just when despair was setting in, an unexpected figure descended from the skies.

Fu Hua had come to save the day.

And with that, the stage segment ended.

In the next stage, the story shifted again.

It opened with a conversation between Fu Hua and Rita.

After watching their exchange, Eden finally understood.

"So it was a flashback narrative… no wonder the first stage felt so odd. Now it makes sense."

In the plot, Rita went to safeguard Tesla, while Fu Hua left a feather on the unconscious Himeko.

This "feather" became a clear piece of foreshadowing, seared into Eden's and the audience's memory.

Then, Durandal made her first appearance.

The strongest Valkyrie of Schicksal, captain of the Immortal Blades, long mentioned in earlier storylines.

The moment she appeared, Elysia's eyes lit up. "Hehe~ another beautiful girl~"

The plot quickly synced back to the previous stage.

Fu Hua disobeyed Otto's orders, choosing instead to rescue Theresa and the others herself.

This confirmed it—Fu Hua wasn't a villain, she truly regarded them as comrades.

But the Herrscher of the Void was simply too strong.

Even with Fu Hua and Theresa joining forces, they still weren't a match.

Yet, in a shocking twist, Otto himself stepped in and saved them all.

Up until now, everyone had pegged Otto as the true villain—

he was even the one who had awakened the Herrscher of the Void.

"Well, since he saved the girls, I'll forgive him… for two hours," Eden thought.

But as Otto's conversation with Fu Hua unfolded, something felt more and more wrong.

And then—Otto suddenly pulled the trigger and shot Fu Hua in the head!!?
