Chapter 32 - A Confession from Eden: I Really Like Himeko!

For Eden, who had ninety million active followers, every single Weibo post she made instantly drew massive attention.

This simple little complaint was no exception.

After a few hours of fermenting, her fans all knew that Eden had been moved to tears by a certain game.

Just hours ago, some of them had even stormed the official account of miHoYo.

Now, seeing their idol still troubled over Himeko's sacrifice, the fans immediately grew worried.

The comment section was filled with words of comfort.

But Eden had no mood to look at them.

She lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep.

All she could see in her mind was Himeko's figure.

It wasn't until past one in the morning that she reopened her phone, angrily typed out another Weibo, and posted it.

[miHoYo, are you asleep? I can't fall asleep!]

After hitting send, Eden put on her headphones and searched for the theme song of The Final Lesson.

Even without the video, she found the song itself worth studying deeply.

As a musician, she knew creating something of that caliber was far from easy.

And yet, a game company like miHoYo had gone out of its way to compose an original theme song just for a short animation.

And the finished work was this outstanding.

It showed just how serious miHoYo was about Honkai Impact 3rd.

If ten was a perfect score, Eden was willing to give Nightglow an eight.

But when compared side by side with The Final Lesson, Eden felt that song was absolutely worthy of being called a flawless masterpiece.

Of course, maybe part of that was because of Himeko.

But either way, it was undeniably a top-class composition.

Even many well-known singers had yet to release something on that level.

"I want to see who wrote the lyrics and music."

It didn't take Eden long to find Nightglow on a music site.

Perhaps thanks to the official miHoYo account's presence, the comment section was unusually clean, with almost no toxic remarks.

But as she scrolled through, she found no information about the lyricist or composer at all.

If you had to call it an introduction, it was nothing more than the two words: [miHoYo].

"Don't tell me someone from their own studio actually wrote this?"

She used her network to ask around, but all the answers she got were: no one knew.

"So it really was their own people who created it?"

Just as she was lost in thought, the bedroom door suddenly opened.

"Elysia? You're still awake?"

"Heehee I saw your Weibo post" Elysia walked in wearing a pink nightgown, her graceful curves on full display.

Without asking permission, she slipped under the blanket and pulled Eden into her arms.

"Eden's still upset?"

Eden chuckled softly and shook her head. "No. I only posted to vent a little—and to help miHoYo promote the game."

"Huh? Did Eden take an ad deal?"

Eden shook her head again. "Not at all. I just really like Honkai Impact 3rd, so I wanted to give them a hand."

"Then what about the idea I mentioned before?"

"Buying out miHoYo?"

Elysia nodded. "That way you could rewrite any storyline you don't like."

"No need. Their writing is excellent. If I tampered with it, Honkai Impact 3rd would lose its charm." Eden paused briefly, then added:

"Besides, I heard even Tencent tried to acquire them and was rejected."

"Really~ That happened?"

Eden nodded. "Alright, Elysia, let's sleep. I plan to visit miHoYo's studio another day."

"Although I don't know why Eden wants to go there, Elysia's willing to keep you company~"

——

Meanwhile, while Eden and Elysia slept soundly, the internet was in an uproar.

The youngest diva, the most beautiful celebrity, the rarely-seen and aloof Eden, had actually posted twice in one night—because of a game.

The Weibo posts were short, but her words were heavy with frustration.

The always-elegant, dignified Eden… had a side like this?

As a result, those two posts shot onto Weibo's trending list overnight with terrifying speed.

Her account with ninety million followers had a total of only fifteen posts—thirteen of which were just promotion for albums and concerts.

And the latest two were… because of some small studio's game??

That alone made countless people curious about the game called Honkai Impact 3rd.

The entertainment industry's other stars were just as intrigued.

There was no denying Eden's influence.

Even in the dead of night, she had given Honkai Impact 3rd an enormous publicity boost.

The player count continued to grow by the millions.

By the next morning, many logging into Weibo were shocked to see the top two trending searches were both miHoYo-related.

#miHoYoYouHeartless(Crying)#

#miHoYoAreYouAsleep?ICan'tFallAsleep!#

Two strange posts left netizens scratching their heads.

Clicking in, they discovered both had been posted by Eden the previous night—one of them at past 1 a.m.

This was astonishing.

Eden of all people… what could have moved her this much?

And beneath those two posts, the hot topics were all about [Himeko] and [miHoYo].

Countless users piled on with comments like: "miHoYo, are you asleep? I can't fall asleep!"

The scene was spectacular.

But things didn't end there.

By noon that day, Eden posted a third Weibo.

Unlike the first two, this one was a full-length essay.

Every word revealed her deep love and appreciation for Honkai Impact 3rd.

She had never publicly said she liked anything before, nor had she ever written such a long post.

And her first time speaking out like this—was to defend miHoYo.

Line by line, she patiently explained to her bewildered fans just how outstanding The Final Lesson was.

Finally, she declared openly:

"I really like Murata Himeko. I mean it, from the inside out. I don't expect miHoYo to bring her back to life—I only hope you will continue to tell this story with the same sincerity."

"And the song is excellent too. I hope I'll have the chance to collaborate with miHoYo's studio one day~"
