Chapter 194 - The Most Pathetic Pair of World Wills Make Their Appearance

"Please, I'm begging you! Stop playing around! Please, just stop!"

Before Mo Wang could even process what was happening, two crying lolis had flown at him and latched onto his legs.

"What's going on? Where the hell am I?" he wondered, looking at the two little girls and then at his surroundings. This wasn't Chaldea.

"We were wrong! We shouldn't have just let Goetia do whatever he wanted! Please, make those things outside go away! We can't take it anymore!" the blue-haired and black-haired lolis wailed, clinging to him for dear life.

"Uh, are you two... Gaia and Alaya? The Counter Force of the Nasuverse?" he asked, a sudden thought occurring to him.

"Y-yes. We are Gaia and Alaya," they sniffled.

"Wow, it really is you," he said, a headache coming on. Anyone who knew anything about the Nasuverse knew about these two.

They were supposed to be the top dogs, the guardians of the Root, the will of the planet and of humanity. All Heroic Spirits were their underlings, and all gods were their tentacles.

But somewhere along the way, their prestige had taken a nosedive. Magicians could defy them, top-tier Servants ignored them, and the gods couldn't care less about them.

They were like the figurehead owners of a company whose employees had all gone rogue.

"Calm down, you two. What's going on? Why did you bring me here? You're not here to cause me trouble, are you?" he asked, narrowing his eyes.

"Do we look like we're here to cause trouble?!" Gaia yelled, pointing to the purple sea of energy outside. "Look what you've done!"

"Uh, so the outside of the Nasuverse is purple? Nice," he said.

"Since when is the void purple?! This is all your fault!" she shrieked.

"Oh, so that's all Honkai energy," he said, finally recognizing it. Wow, the Honkai has completely filled the outside of the Nasuverse? How is there so much?

"It's all because of you! This strange energy appeared out of nowhere and started smashing our world's barrier! And then it tried to get into the Root! If it weren't for the two of us fighting it off, this world would have been doomed!" Gaia wailed. It had been a nightmare. The energy was like a swarm of cockroaches, constantly trying to find a way in.

"Oh, so that's why the Honkai was spreading so slowly. You two were blocking it," he said, finally understanding.

"Please, stop using this energy! We can't take it anymore! If it gets into the Root, the whole world will be destroyed!" they pleaded.

"Uh, it's not that bad, is it? The Honkai is dangerous, but it won't destroy the whole world," he said, trying to console them. At most, it would just blow up a planet or two and wipe out humanity.

The two lolis' faces turned green. That's not a problem?!

But the Honkai was the least of their worries. They were more concerned about the Aeons that Mo Wang had attracted.

"Ahem, don't worry. You'll get used to it," he said with a chuckle.

"No! Please, just make this energy go away!" Gaia begged.

"I can't. The Honkai doesn't listen to me. I'm not the Herrscher of Finality," he said with a shrug.

"You're the worst!" she wailed. "What are we going to do? Am I going to die young?"

"You're 4.5 billion years old. You can hardly call that 'dying young'," he deadpanned. No wonder their prestige kept dropping.

"Alright, alright, stop crying. I'll use less Honkai energy from now on, and I'll even help you reinforce the barrier," he said, not wanting the Nasuverse to be destroyed.

"S-something is better than nothing..." Gaia sniffled. But then she and Alaya saw the familiar, unnerving smile on his face.

"Since I can't use Honkai energy anymore, you two should at least compensate me, right?" he said. "After all, if my fighting power is weakened, I might just be tempted to use it again."

"Bullshit!" they yelled. This guy was already strong enough to take on the entire Nasuverse with one hand.

"Wait! You're not thinking..." Alaya and Gaia backed away, a look of horror on their faces.

"Y-you're not after our bodies, are you?!" Gaia shrieked, pulling out an LED sign that read "DAME." "Even if you are our 'daddy,' you can't! We're conceptual beings!"

Thwack! Thwack!

Two steaming lumps appeared on their heads. "Who would want a 4.5-billion-year-old hag?!" Mo Wang roared. "I want the authority to modify the gacha's pity system!"

"Oh, you should have just said so..." Alaya muttered, rubbing her head. "Wait! You want to mess with the Heroic Spirit summoning system?!"

"What else do you have that I'd want?" he said with a shrug. He may have had the catalysts to summon the Servants, but he had no faith in his own luck. And even with the catalysts, he could only summon from the story banner. He needed a back door to the limited banners.

"You just want to mess with the Servants, don't you?" Alaya said, seeing right through him.

But as long as he didn't mess with the world, they didn't care what he did to the Servants. They had collected them for a reason, after all.

"Alright, we'll give you the authority," they said, and without a moment's hesitation, they sold out their underlings.

A red light flashed from Mo Wang's Command Spells, and they began to glow with a new power.

"With this, you can summon any Servant you want. Just... please don't use that dangerous stuff anymore," they pleaded.

"I know, I know. You can count on me!" he said with a wave. He wouldn't use Honkai energy anymore. But that didn't mean he wouldn't use other things.

When the Super Robot Wars chapter opened up, he could get his hands on Spiral Power, Photon Power, Getter Rays... way more powerful than Honkai.

And if those were even more dangerous... well, that wasn't his problem, was it?

"I have a bad feeling about this," Alaya said as they watched him go.

"Oh, well. At least the Root is safe for now. And we still have to deal with the energy that's already leaked into our world. It's already formed some strange singularities," Gaia sighed. "I just hope those Outer Gods don't get any funny ideas."

Being the Counter Force of the Nasuverse was a thankless job. She felt like she was going to lose a few billion years off her life at this rate.
