Chapter 192 - A Five-Spice Slash and Romani's Stomach Ache

An additional warrior is a staple of any good Super Sentai series.

But for some reason, the upgraded Great Magnus Shining was a Link-3 with less attack power than the original. It was as if it had been nerfed.

But it was definitely an upgrade.

"Master, please, what is this?!" Jeanne's shriek echoed from inside the new mecha. She had been swallowed by the T-Rex, and the next thing she knew, she was wearing a strange white armor and sitting in a giant robot.

Why was I chosen to be the additional warrior?!

"Oh, welcome, welcome. I didn't expect to see you here, Miss Saint," Cu Chulainn said with a smirk. "I hope you don't puke." He was glad to have someone else share in his misery.

"I wish you would have been a little more gentle next time, Master," Jeanne sighed.

"Oh? So you want to do this again? As expected of Jeanne, your resolve is admirable!" Mo Wang said with a thumbs-up.

Jeanne just sighed. It wasn't like she had a choice.

"In any case, Master, let's just get rid of these strange things. There are already casualties in the city," she said, her voice firm.

"Heh, don't worry. This time, I'm going all out," Mo Wang said with a grin.

Goetia wanted to test him? He would be happy to oblige.

Great Magnus Shining raised its Magnaslayer.

"That's it! I wasn't wrong!" Goetia's eyes widened. He was no longer looking at Great Magnus, but at the boundless void that surrounded it. "So this is the Nihility that Flauros spoke of... I never imagined it would be this terrifying."

In his eyes, the black sphere was like a black hole, consuming everything, leaving nothing behind. For the first time, even Goetia felt a sense of fear and despair.

This was not the future he envisioned. He wanted to wipe out humanity, but this... this would wipe out the world itself. If he let Mo Wang continue, the world would be consumed by the void.

Meanwhile, Great Magnus Shining's glow had turned from white to an unsettling black. "Even Great Magnus can't handle my full power," Mo Wang said with a disappointed look.

The two Demon God Pillars, sensing the danger, fired their beams at the mecha. But the beams were swallowed by the black aura, disappearing without a trace.

"Lord Goetia, my powers are ineffective against it! That thing... it's not magecraft, nor is it a Noble Phantasm!" Berith's core spun frantically, but all calculations pointed to the same conclusion: undefined.

"Since you're here, don't even think about running," Mo Wang said with a grin. He pushed the controls, and the mecha shot forward like a black meteor.

"Take this! Five-Spice Slash—!" he yelled, and the Magnaslayer transformed into a massive blade wreathed in black lightning, reminiscent of a certain Herrscher's signature move.

The Demon God Pillars' many eyes widened. The black mecha disappeared, and a crack of pure void split the sky.

Crack.

The sound of shattering echoed across the battlefield. Flauros watched in horror as Berith was erased from existence, like a pencil drawing being rubbed out.

"Lord Goetia! This is beyond our observation—!" Flauros's transmission was cut short as the black blade pierced its core.

The two Demon God Pillars were gone, their very existence erased from the world.

In the Chaldea command room, Romani dropped his coffee cup. "Impossible... the spirit origin responses of two Demon God Pillars... were eaten?"

And on the battlefield, Goetia's fingers trembled. "This power... it is beyond the scope of 'mystery'..." he whispered, his golden eyes filled with a new kind of fear. "Mo Wang... what are you?"

...

Inside the cockpit, Jeanne looked at her holy banner, which had now turned a pure black. "Master... did we just... eat the 'Demon Gods'?"

"Huh? Did we? I just slashed at them a few times," Mo Wang said innocently.

Cu Chulainn, Archer, and Jeanne just stared at him, speechless.

Mo Wang looked towards the castle, but Goetia was gone. "His underlings die, and he doesn't even react? Cold-hearted bastard," he muttered. "But it won't be so easy for him to resurrect them this time. Things consumed by the void don't come back so easily."

But he couldn't be sure. After all, even Aventurine had met IX, the Aeon of Nihility, and survived.

"Oh, I just remembered," Mo Wang said. "Wasn't there a scene where the Marshal says goodbye to Jeanne? Now that he's been obliterated, I guess he won't get his chance."

"Oh well, good riddance," he shrugged.

...

"It's finally over. Thank goodness," Romani said, sighing in relief.

"I can't believe a Demon God Pillar appeared this early. This is not good news, Romani," Da Vinci said, a mischievous twinkle in her eye.

"Yeah, I nearly had a heart attack," Romani said, clutching his stomach. "But thank goodness Mo Wang is so ridiculously strong."

"I'm more interested in him than the Demon God Pillars," Da Vinci said. "I wonder how the Director found him. Is he really human?"

"I'd like to know that too," Romani said, rubbing his forehead. Mo Wang had been acting strangely ever since the first singularity. Even he, the former King Solomon, couldn't figure him out.

"Ara, ara, at this rate, Mo Wang will probably clear the remaining singularities in no time," Da Vinci said with a smile. "I wonder what he'll do to them? Now that the Demon King himself has made a move, I'm sure the other hidden players will start to get restless."

"Please, don't say any more. My stomach is already killing me," Romani groaned.

But Da Vinci knew that Mo Wang was now far more dangerous than the Demon King. And the future singularities were in for a world of hurt.

But wasn't that more fun? the true agent of chaos in Chaldea thought to herself.
