"Heh, hahaha!"
As Mo Wang's laughter echoed, a sudden chill ran down Jalter's spine. Even Fafnir, the mighty dragon beneath her, grew restless.
"I never thought that at a time like this, the strongest dragon would fall into my hands!" Mo Wang declared, striking a classic Kaiba pose. "Now! Do not blink, for you are about to witness the final monster you will ever face!"
A beam of light shot into the sky behind him.
"Scream! Tremble! Descend! BLUE-EYES! WHITE! DRAGON!!!"
At his cry, everyone's attention was drawn to him.
"What... what is that?!"
A magnificent white dragon emerged from the light behind Mo Wang, its holy aura and pristine scales a stark contrast to the dark, grotesque Fafnir.
The moment the Blue-Eyes White Dragon appeared, its sheer draconic presence intimidated every wyvern in the sky.
It was... beautiful. Utterly, breathtakingly beautiful. Mo Wang was instantly smitten. No wonder Kaiba was so obsessed. Where else could you find such a beautiful, powerful, and immortal ultimate monster?
"How... how is this possible?!" Jalter clenched her fists, her knuckles white. She could feel Fafnir growling uneasily, its crimson eyes locked on the white dragon as if it had met its mortal enemy.
The Blue-Eyes White Dragon spread its pure white wings, each scale seeming to be forged from light. It let out a heaven-shaking roar that seemed to freeze the very air, the flames on the battlefield flickering and nearly extinguishing.
"Senpai summoned another dragon?!" Mash stared in disbelief. The things her senpai pulled out were getting more and more terrifying.
"Heh, hahaha! Blue-Eyes! Show the world your power! White Lightning Attack!"
At Mo Wang's command, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon opened its maw, a brilliant white light gathering within. A torrent of light, powerful enough to tear the heavens asunder, shot towards Fafnir.
"ROAR—!!"
Fafnir met the attack with its own torrent of black flame. The two opposing forces clashed in mid-air, creating a deafening explosion. The impact sent shockwaves across the battlefield, tearing up the ground.
"Impossible!" Jalter cried out. The breath attacks of the two dragons were evenly matched. The Blue-Eyes was only a fifth of Fafnir's size, yet their powers were equal.
Fafnir was a true dragon from the Age of Gods, the Golden Dragon Lord! How could this little dragon that had appeared out of nowhere match it? It was like she was seeing a ghost.
"Don't be afraid, Fafnir! Even if its breath is as strong as yours, we won't lose in close combat!" she yelled. She refused to believe that her Fafnir couldn't defeat this small fry.
Fafnir roared, its massive black body descending like a mountain. Its tail swept across the ground, kicking up a wave of earth, its sharp claws tearing through the air as it lunged for the Blue-Eyes.
"ROAR—!" The Blue-Eyes met the charge without fear, its white wings carving a graceful arc. The two dragons collided, claws and fangs creating a shower of sparks. But the size difference quickly became apparent.
Fafnir's massive claw slammed into the Blue-Eyes' back, and the white dragon let out a cry of pain, pale blue blood seeping from between its pristine scales.
"Senpai! The white dragon—" Mash cried out, gripping her shield.
But Mo Wang just grinned. "Don't worry, the show's just getting started."
The Blue-Eyes suddenly spun, using the momentum to whip its long tail across Fafnir's left eye. The black dragon roared in pain and staggered back, nearly throwing Jalter off.
The Blue-Eyes pressed its advantage, its attacks targeting Fafnir's weak points, but the black dragon's thick scales absorbed most of the damage.
"It's useless!" Jalter sneered, waving her banner. Cursed black flames enveloped Fafnir's claws. When the Blue-Eyes attacked again, the black claws, now imbued with corrosive energy, slammed into its right wing.
The Blue-Eyes plummeted from the sky, its damaged wing leaving a beautiful trail of light. Fafnir dove after it, its massive jaws open to bite down on the white dragon's neck—
But just then, a glint of intelligence flashed in the Blue-Eyes' eyes. It curled its body, kicked Fafnir in the jaw with its hind legs to create distance, and then, at point-blank range, fired another White Lightning Attack straight into the black dragon's open mouth.
BOOM—!!!
In the massive explosion, both dragons were sent flying. When the dust settled, they were both on the ground, battered and bruised.
"Heh, it seems your little dragon is pretty strong," Jalter said, a strained smile on her face. "But it's still no match for Fafnir!"
She had to admit, she hadn't expected the Blue-Eyes to be so strong in close combat. If it weren't for Fafnir's size advantage, it would have already lost. But as it was, it seemed they still had the upper hand.
"Is that so?" Mo Wang's villainous grin widened. He walked over to the Blue-Eyes and, with a wave of his hand, healed all its wounds in an instant.
"If one white dragon isn't enough to take you down," he said, "what about three?"
"Th-three?!"
To everyone's disbelief, two more identical white dragons appeared behind Mo Wang. The sight was absurd. A pure-blooded dragon, a rare sight even in this era, and this man had just summoned three of them.
"Are... are you kidding me?!" Jalter rubbed her eyes, but the three silver-white dragons were still there. Her face fell. Even if Fafnir was strong, there was no way it could take on three dragons of the same level. They were doomed.
Mo Wang just smirked. This is nothing. I haven't even brought out my Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon, Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon, or Dragon Master Knight yet.
A single Fafnir was nothing to him.
"Go, take care of that dragon," he commanded. "And remember, keep the meat intact. Don't damage it."
The three Blue-Eyes shot forward.
"Awooo?!"
Fafnir was stunned. Without a second thought, it took to the air. It had to run, or it was going to be eaten.
"Trying to escape? Not so easy!" Mo Wang sneered. "Blue-Eyes, stop it!"
The three dragons moved in perfect sync, surrounding Fafnir from three sides. One whipped it with its tail, another fired a White Lightning Attack at its wing, and the third tore at its back with its claws.
"ROAR—!!" Fafnir roared in pain, its massive body thrashing.
"It's not over yet!" Mo Wang said, his arms crossed. "Blue-Eyes, final attack!"
The three dragons opened their mouths, gathering a terrifying amount of magical energy.
"Triple Burst Stream of Destruction!!!"
Three pure white beams of destruction shot out, converging into a massive torrent of energy that pierced Fafnir's chest.
BOOM—!!!
The black dragon was completely engulfed in the explosion. When the light faded, it fell from the sky like a meteor, its body charred and blackened.
"So brutal..." Dr. Roman muttered in the control room. "It's like a dragon hunt!"
The legendary dragon Fafnir had been ganged up on by three other dragons, its blood raining down on the battlefield. It was a scene worthy of the Age of Gods.
Thud!
Jalter fell from the dragon's back. She struggled to her feet, only to see the three Blue-Eyes circling above her, their cold eyes locked on her.
"Damn it..." she gritted her teeth. "How can this be happening?!"
"You three idiots! I told you not to damage the meat!" Mo Wang's voice suddenly boomed. He was yelling at the three Blue-Eyes. "Do you know how wasteful you are? That's pure-blooded dragon meat and blood! Do you know how expensive that stuff is? What am I supposed to do with it now that it's all ruined? Use your own blood and meat to make up for it?"
The three Blue-Eyes looked down, their expressions crestfallen. Boss, it's not our fault! This guy's super tanky! We had to hit him hard!
"I don't care! You nearly ruined my meat! Next time, I won't summon you!"
Watching Mo Wang scold the three powerful dragons like they were naughty puppies was a surreal experience. And the dragons didn't even talk back. It was almost comical.
"Fafnir! Now!" Jalter's eyes lit up. The summoner couldn't possibly be as strong as his summons, right?
Fafnir opened its mouth and lunged at Mo Wang.
CRUNCH!
Jalter's face froze. Fafnir's eyes welled up with tears. The dragon's teeth had shattered against Mo Wang's body.
"Holy crap! Is he even human?!" Cu Chulainn shuddered. That body's so tough, I don't even know if my Noble Phantasm could scratch him.
"I'm telling you, dragons, you don't need all those fancy laser beams. Keep it simple," Mo Wang said with a grin. He grabbed one of Fafnir's broken teeth and, with a heave, swung the multi-ton dragon around like a hammer throw.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Fafnir's massive body was slammed into the ground again and again, like a rag doll.
"W-wait!" Jalter's voice cracked. "That's a legendary evil dragon!"
"I know, I know," Mo Wang said, not stopping. "That's why it needs to be taught a lesson!"
The three Blue-Eyes sat obediently to the side, their tails wagging like dogs watching their master. One of them had even pulled out a bag of dragon snacks and was crunching on them.
"Groan..."
When Mo Wang finally stopped, Fafnir was lying on the ground, foaming at the mouth, its eyes spiraling. It was having a draconic existential crisis. Who's the real dragon here?!
Mo Wang dusted off his hands and turned to the Blue-Eyes. "Go, collect the ingredients... I mean, the spoils. Take out the heart whole, chill the liver, and collect the blood in the Holy Grail. Don't waste any of it..."
Jalter staggered back, her face pale. "You... you're a demon!"
"Thank you for the compliment," Mo Wang said with a harmless smile. "By the way, didn't you say you were going to burn down France?"
The remaining wyverns in the sky collectively shivered and retreated several hundred meters. Even the storm clouds parted, letting the sun shine down on the battered land.
Mash silently lowered her shield. Suddenly, their previous battles seemed so... civilized. She knew she wasn't the only one thinking it, but... was this guy even human?
