Chapter 39 - We Found a Weak, Pitiful, and Helpless Director

"Ah! Why is this happening?! What is going on?!"

In a corner of the burning city of Fuyuki, a white-haired girl was currently running for her life through the streets.

Sweat dripped from her forehead, falling onto the ground.

Though she was already panting with exhaustion, the girl kept running, letting out a hoarse scream, like a cry of youth (a big lie).

And behind her, several skeleton soldiers wielding rusty blades were also trying their best to chase her, cheering her on.

If Mo Wang were here, seeing the white-haired girl running with such abandon, he probably would have sighed with emotion: "This is what youth is all about."

However, the person in question, Olga Marie, did not feel that way at all.

After running for about half an hour straight, she was so tired she could barely breathe.

"Finally... finally got rid of those guys."

After countless twists and turns, Olga Marie collapsed to the ground, completely exhausted.

Heaven have mercy. As a member of a prestigious magus family, when had Olga Marie ever had to run for so long?

She had just participated in a perfectly normal experiment, and she had no idea why she had suddenly been transported to this dump of a city.

If that were all, it would have been fine. But the problem was, the moment she landed, she was chased by over thirty skeletons.

Olga Marie had never been so wronged in her entire life.

"Why is this happening?! What the hell is this place?!"

Olga Marie squatted on the ground, looking weak, pitiful, and helpless.

The already fragile Director Olga was now hugging her knees, looking like she was on the verge of a complete breakdown.

Even now, she still hadn't figured out what was going on.

"Lev... Romani... and... Mo Wang. Where are you guys?"

The self-isolating Director Olga's mind was now filled with thoughts of the people who were very important to her.

Even Mo Wang's figure was among them.

Perhaps only at times like this would she realize just how fragile she truly was.

"Kera! Kera!"

Just then, Olga Marie once again heard the sound of Dragon Tooth Warriors.

"You've got to be kidding me! More?!"

Olga Marie's legs went weak as she stood up, her eyes filled with a mix of anger and panic.

"Are these Dragon Tooth Warriors insane?! They've chased me for three whole li, and they're still not giving up? What do I have on me?! Is it really necessary to chase me like this?!"

Olga Marie was on the verge of a breakdown.

What kind of magus, without using magecraft, had to keep running after running for three li? This wasn't some kind of marathon training!

Seeing the few Dragon Tooth Warriors approaching in the distance, Olga Marie felt the urge to just go all out and take them down with her.

"Vroom~ Vroom!"

Just then, the sound of a motorcycle engine once again reached Olga Marie's ears.

"A motorcycle? Someone's riding one of those in a place like this?"

Olga Marie looked blankly in the direction of the sound.

A strange motorcycle was speeding towards her, faster than any punk on a scooter.

And on the back of this motorcycle, there seemed to be a massive shield...

"What is that weird thing?" Olga Marie's brain instantly shut down.

The speeding motorcycle was unstoppable as it tore down the street. A group of skeleton soldiers tried to block it, only to be smashed to pieces the next moment.

A piece of bone was even sent flying at high speed, grazing past Olga Marie's face and embedding itself in the ground beside her.

Startled by the high-speed bone, Olga Marie stared dumbly at the rapidly approaching motorcycle, her face growing more and more horrified.

"N-no, wait?! That motorcycle is heading right for me?"

Olga Marie wanted to run, but she found that her legs were too weak to move.

And the motorcycle showed no signs of slowing down.

"This is the end!"

Seeing the motorcycle barreling towards her, Olga Marie already felt like she could start planning her own funeral. (Though, in a way, she wasn't wrong.)

But, the high-speed motorcycle executed a perfect fishtail drift and stopped right in front of her.

Olga Marie's body was probably less than a centimeter away from the motorcycle.

At this moment, Olga Marie felt that her clothes were a little wet.

Yes, her back. Don't get the wrong idea.

"Look here, folks, what have we found? A stray Director?"

A familiar voice came from the motorcycle, instantly snapping Olga Marie back to her senses.

"M-Mo Wang?" Olga Marie called out, a little unsure.

"Yo, my dear Director. Did you miss me? Aren't you moved to see me in a place like this?"

Mo Wang took off his helmet and called out to the bewildered Olga Marie.

However, what greeted him was not the Director's tearful and moved expression, but a face red with anger.

"Mo Wang! You bastard! Do you have any idea you almost killed me just now?!"

Olga Marie's small fists rained down on Mo Wang, looking as if she were trying to pound him into a Chaoshan beef ball.

"D-Director..."

Mash, who was sitting on the back of the motorcycle, called out timidly to Olga Marie.

"And Mash? Wait, what is going on here? Why is Mash dressed like that? Mo Wang, don't tell me you..." Olga Marie immediately shot Mo Wang a look one would give to human scum.

"I feel like... I've had this conversation before. Why are your lines exactly the same as Romani's? What kind of image do you guys have of me?!"

Mo Wang then had no choice but to explain everything that had happened to Olga Marie.

But this explanation only made Olga's emotions explode even more.

"What did you say?! Mash became a Demi-Servant? And you even became a Master? How is that possible?!"

Olga Marie looked at Mo Wang as if she had seen a ghost.

What? Mash is a Demi-Servant?

What? Mo Wang became a Master?

What? This is Fuyuki City?

What? Mo Wang and Mash fought their way through here?

The barrage of information almost made Olga's brain explode.

"That's not right! Only a first-rate magus should be able to become a Master! You, who I have to personally drag to exams, how could you possibly become a Master? What kind of strange trick did you use?"

"Huh? Only first-rate magi can become Masters?"

Mo Wang was completely baffled by Olga Marie's words.

Wait, was his information wrong?

As far as he remembered, in both the Fourth and Fifth Holy Grail Wars, and all sorts of other strange Holy Grail Wars, third-rate magi becoming Masters was the mainstream, wasn't it?

People like Waver from the Fourth War, Ryuunosuke, and Shinji and Shirou from the Fifth War, some of them couldn't even use magecraft. Could they be called first-rate magi?

Looking at Olga Marie's suspicious gaze...

Hmm.

Mo Wang decided that he was, indeed, a first-rate magus. No doubt about it!
