At the other side of the city where White, Lydia and Racheal were patrolling, Racheal asked "Hey, I've been sensing intense clashing of energies for a while now, are you sure the others are okay?", White replied "Offcourse they are. They've obviously got into insane trouble that would cost them their lives, but I'm confident that they'll be fine.". Lydia had a dumbfounded look on her face as she looked at White "It's either he's overly confident in everyone's abilities, or he's just being cold towards everyone else.", White stopped walking for a moment and looked around. Lydia asked "White, is everything okay?", White replied "Nah, everything's fine. Nothings out of suspicion so far. The only thing we need to be worried about is everyone's safety.". Lydia thought to herself once again "Wait a minute, didn't he say everyone else would be fine?". Suddenly, a sharp sting that resembled an electric bolt crossed their minds, the trio were stunned for a moment "Hey, can you guys hear me?", a familiar voice asked. The voice that asked this question was that of Volt, Racheal asked "Huh? Volt? Is that you?", Volt replied "Yep, it's me. Is everything okay?", White replied "Yeah, so far so good, everything's fine on our end.". Volt took a small sigh "That's good to hear. I'm with Kito's team right now, we all should probably meet at the same place we met up before.", White replied "Sounds good.". Lydia took a deep breath "Finally, we can end this patrol for now.", the team zoomed off. At the other side of the city, Yuki, Marallda and Gwen were also patrolling the city of pillars around them "I don't see anything around here.", Gwen said. Yuki replied as she looked around "I don't sense anything strange either. This city is more of an abandoned one than a regular city.", Marallda then explained "I mean, it's called the city of pillars, practically everything here is a giant building sized pillar that used to inhabit people.". Gwen added "I mean, this city is capital to the city of wind, it probably use to be a place people of the wind city used to stay in before abandoning it.", Marallda muttered "I wonder what made them to abandon a city they worked so hard to create and live in.", Yuki responded "Obviously they ran away from something they didn't have the strength to beat.". Marallda asked "How would you know that?", Yuki replied "Survival tactics.", Gwen then teased "Marallda, dont think of it too much. Yuki's a walking predator dressed up as a human being.", Yuki had a funny but saddened smile on her face "It's funny because people call me something similar when I was younger.", she muttered to herself. As they walked along side each other, an electric current crossed their minds "Hey, are you guys okay?", Volt's voice asked. Yuki jolted "Volt?!", Gwen replied "Yep, we're doing fine here. We haven't spotted anything so far. What of you?". Volt explained "We ran into a few problems, but we're still alive. Let's meet up at the place we first took off from.", Gwen replied "Sounds good.". Marallda asked "We're meeting up with the other, huh?", Gwen responded "Yep.", Yuki added "Sounds good to me.", the three girls took off. Meanwhile, Kazuma, Yuji and Mio sat untop of one of the huge pillars, Kazuma sighed with a lazy and tired look on his face as he ate some snacks along with Yuji and Mio "Ahhh! I'm so beat. That drone almost got us killed, I feel like running home now.", Yuji replied "You have no idea.". Mio also took a sigh "I'm just glad I didn't die after a single hit from its lasers.", Yuji replied with a tired tone "Me too. That drone really me made my instincts go wild.". Kazuma teased "Yuji, you went straight into killer mode, you scared me for a moment", Yuji replied with a slightly annoyed tone "Says the guy who was laughing like a maniac as he burned down everything around him. What are you, some kind of world conquering God in human flesh?", Kazuma replied "Hm, I wonder about that.". Mio took a deep breath and sighed "Whatever, we should contact the rest to make them know we're okay.", she did some hand signs "Telepathy.". Immediately she did so, she was able to link herself into the minds of everyone else "Hey, everyone, It's Mio.....", Regina jolted as she heard Mio's voice in her head "Mio?!", Mio responded "Myself, Yuji and Kazuma are doing well. I just thought I should let you know.", Kito responded "Okay, no problem. We're planning on meeting in the same place we were before we split up.", Mio replied "Sure, sounds good. I'll let Kazuma and Yuji know.". After severing the link, Mio told Kazuma and Yuji "We're too meet up with the rest soon.", Kazuma sighed "About time.", Yuji also replied "No problem.". Later, as the rest of the team found themselves sitting untop of a giant pillar, they all had funny but depressing looks on their faces "So, we all almost died to drones, huh?", Kito asked, everyone except Marallda, Yuki, Gwen, White, Lydia and Racheal replied "Yep!". Yuki turned to Kito "Hey, Kito. You feeling well? Your breathing seems off.", Kito replied "Nope, I'm not fine. Right now, I'm just thanking God i didn't get turned into a splash of red paint.", Baroka and Rem looked at Kito with annoyance mixed with disgust "Don't say it like that!", Baroka muttered, Rem added "Yeah, Kito. Please don't!". Regina turned to Yuji, Mio and Kazuma "So? What of you three? How did you do?", Kazuma raised his arm up with a depressed smile "We rather not talk about it.", Mio also added "I got one-shotted into a pillar and was down for 10 minutes, so I can't say for sure.". Yuji explained with a nervous smile "If anyone were to explain what happened, it should be Kazuma. He was the only one who didn't get blasted on the spot.". Regina replied "I see....", suddenly, she jumped on Yuji "YUUUUJII! IM SO GLAD YOU'RE SAFE! SERIOUSLY! WHO KNOWS WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF YOU WEREN'T SKILLED ENOUGH! AHH! IF YOU HAD DIED, I WOULDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF!", she yelled with worry. Yuji replied nervously "There, there, Regina. I'm also glad I'm alive too! Like seriously, thank God!". Mio, Kazuma and Volt chuckled a bit "Looks like you two are back to your usual.", Mio said, Kazuma replied "Seems like it.". Volt then noticed something "Hm? Kazuma, what happened to your arm?", Kazuma looked at his left palm that was burned and had the bone of that palm showing "Oh, this? It's an injury I got from tanking a laser beam shot straight at me with my palm. I couldn't infuse energy into my hand fast enough before the beam hit me, so now I'm stuck with this injury.". Regina warned "You should probably close that injury before it gets infected.", Kazuma replied "You're right". A few minutes later, Kazuma had bandaged his left arm "Tadah! Good as new.", he said with optimism, Kito replied dryly "Nah, the fact that it's covered up doesn't mean it's healed. Doesn't it even hurt?", Kazuma replied dryly "Now that I think of it, the wound still does.". Yuki explained "Well, we should probably take cover, we can't be sitting untop of a tall pillar, we'd be easy to spot.", Gwen replied "Good idea.". Everyone got up and jumped down the pillar, as they were reaching for the ground, White looked at Kazuma, he thought to himself "Kazuma..... you're going to take some heavy damage in this mission..!", White thought to himself. Kazuma noticed White looking at him, he turned to White and smirked at him.
