In the Katakuri house hold, Tendra was sitted on the floor covered with straw mats, he sat there infront of his grandfather, Rejiro Katakuri. Rejiro looked at his grandson with an unreadable expression as he stood above him "Tendra, you have done well, my child. You didn't just participate in the assassination exams in the city, but you won all the fights that came your way regardless of how strong your opponent's were. Tell me, Tendra. Is there anything you've learned from this experience?". Tendra didn't reply immediately, instead, he took a soft sigh before responding "Anything I've learnt, huh? If I had to say, it's the fact that people can't be underestimated.". Rejiro's eyes widened a bit "Oh? And what might you be insinuating?", Tendra proceeded to explain "Grandfather, I know we people of the Katakuri clan are exceptional when it comes to all sorts of combats and techniques, and I know we prove our dominance by using all the power we have to make sure our opponents understand that they are fodder. But to be honest, there are other people out there who are just as strong as we are.". Rejiro didn't respond, his cold blue eyes didn't even blinked "Hm? How so?", he asked. Tendra proceeded to explain "You see, in all the fights I witnessed in this previous gladiator rounds, I was able to understand how strong some certain people were. Sure, I could beat them, but they would pose very much of a challenge to me. The people that stood out to me the most were Yuji Takanoguro, Kazuma Starion and Rimeta Destera.". Rejiro didn't respond, he blinked and then said "Go on.". Tendra continued to explain "Kazuma Starion is a young assassin like me who is extremely skilled. He has a good level of understanding of what he can do and what he can't do. His ability Is one that is very creative, but with his mindset, his ability combined with his combat skills and understanding of the battlefield is what makes him dangerous.", Tendra explained again "As for Yuji Takanoguro, he is just as skilled as me. Although he lacks in a few area's compared to me. He was able to adapt to my speed and my sword movements. He was also able to think very quickly, he dodged and made insane counters. The match would have been a draw if not for the fact that his weapon had disintegrated.....", Tendra's eyes became cold as he glanced upwards "And as for that bitch! Rimeta Destera! She pisses me off. That girl gave me the fight of my life.". Rejiro listened to his grandson with attentive ears and cold eyes, Tendra explained "This might be self insulting, but that girl was way more skilled than I was. She pushed me too far. Im usually calm and often depend on my sword skills, but for the first time, I actually had to use other means to fight.". Tendra started to remember his fight against Rimeta "I switched from swords to shooting of beams. I started to depend on hand to hand combat. Obviously I'm very versatile with combat of the hand, but I wasn't expecting to use that combat style that much.". Tendra turned up to Rejiro "Grandfather, I know in terms of overall skills and power, we Katakuri's are unrivalled, even against other major sword clans. The rule we all have is to understand why no one is on our level, but prove that by showing them our overwhelming skills....". Tendra tightened his fists "But still, there are people out there who can put us to shame if we don't act carefully!", Rejiro looked at his grandson for a moment without saying anything. He sighed "I see. Your explanations were indeed understandable, but it warms my heart to know that despite all those conditions, you still came out untop. You are a true Katakuri. I have your rewards waiting for you. As your reward for winning the gladiator rounds, you would be blessed with 10 percent of wealth the Katakuri's posses every year.", Tendra was stunned on hearing this. "Huh?" Tendra muttered, Rejiro explained "The Katakuri clan gains up to Twenty-Million Neroids every years. The main family of Katakuri, which is you and I currently have 998,000,000,000 Neroids. Ten percent of that is all yours for the year, the same thing goes for next year and many other years to come. That is until you have children and want to pass it down to them too.". Tendra was still baffled "998,000,000,000? That can literally feed generations!", Tendra responded with gratitude "Thank you Grandfather! I would forever cherish this humble gift that you've given unto me!", Rejiro smirked "Offcourse you will!". Later that day, Astera was sitting infront of a pond, she seemed rather saddened as she looked at the river "Not only did I lose the gladiator rounds to that bitch that calls herself Regina Starfall, I was raped by Tendra. And now, I'm seen as a disappointment because I lost.". Astera gnashed her teeth "These insolent bastards! How dare they looks down on me?! All because I lost a single match! I hate it! I hate it all!", she muttered to herself as she sat alone. Suddenly, a small pebble had got her attention by hitting Astera on the head, Astera turned back and saw Tendra standing above her "Hey, we need to talk.", his eyes seemed cold as he said out to Astera. As they both sat down together, Tendra explained to her "You're stupid, you know. You are extremely rude and you don't know how to admit when you're wrong. It's no wonder women of this clan aren't regarded as much when they behave like this. But still, I understand where you're coming from. Your opponent wasn't some person you could just shove to the side, she was just as strong as you were. I'm not apologising for what I did to you that day, all I'm saying is that you shouldn't take everything too seriously.". Tendra stood up and walked off, Astera glanced at him as he walked away, she didn't say anything at all until she muttered something ".....". Tendra turned with a glance, looking at Astera before walking away "You know, Astera. Let's train together more often. That way, you wouldn't be that much of a burden next time.".
