Ivy's POV
I ascended the stairs, emerging from the tunnel into what appeared to be a shallow cave carved into a cliff face. Confusion washed over me as I swept my flashlight across the stone walls.
"Where are we?" I muttered, moving toward the entrance. This didn't make sense—my father's territory had no coastal cliffs.
Stepping outside, I found myself perched on a rocky ledge overlooking the thundering sea. Waves crashed violently against the base of the cliff, sending spray high into the air. To my left, ancient stairs were cut into the stone, winding upward. With cautious steps, I began to climb, the salty mist dampening my face as I ascended.
Halfway up, my foot slipped on a patch of slick moss. I screamed, arms flailing wildly as I fought to regain my balance. Heart pounding, I pulled myself up and continued climbing until I reached the summit.
