Chapter 54: It Was A Warning
"Aaaaaaaah!!!! Aaaaaaaaah!!!! Nadeira's scream tore through the room.
It wasn't a cry for help; it was aching like the fire was ripping through her throat as her skin burned under her neck.
She fell to her knees, clutching at it, her lungs begged for air but found none.
The maids were just standing, like they were glued to the spot. They did nothing. Not one hand moved to help.
"Please—!" Nadeira gasped, her voice started breaking as the words burned against her skin again, "Be careful with your tone."
The sting was alive, like the piranhas were biting her flesh. Her body couldn't stop moving, shaking violently from the piercing like a knife feeling.
At some point, to Nadeira, it felt like her skin started peeling…away from her bones, exposing more than it should.
Nadeira squeezed her eyes but the room still spun, the walls turned into a blur. She could feel her lungs giving out, like they were drowning without water.
