Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 He And Xu Miaoran

Senior year of high school leaves no room for slacking.

With the English competition approaching, Su Qing could only devote her full time and energy, putting everything else aside.

Not only did she intensify her English practice, she also didn't give up on other subjects.

"Su Qing, your formula is clearly wrong. This problem involves uniform linear motion, and your formula is for accelerated motion."

Holding his glasses on the bridge of his nose, Zhang Yihan turned to point out Su Qing's mistake and lightly scribbled a line across her paper.

Su Qing took another look at her study paper and, indeed, it suddenly dawned on her.

No wonder she hadn't noticed the mistake even after doing it and checking it several times.

"You're a real academic genius, indeed! I admire you."

A faint smile graced her cheeks.

"You're welcome. Classmates should help each other. Su Qing, your grades aren't bad either. Which school are you going to?" Zhang Yihan, dazzled by Su Qing's smile, nervously stared at his own paper, writing furiously as he asked.

Which school?

Su Qing paused, correcting the mistakes on her paper, thinking seriously, then shook her head. "I don't know yet. I'll see what the grades are."

"So, I'm planning on going to Peking. The school has spots available, so I'm going to give it a try." Zhang Yihan's face was filled with the youthful drive, his eyes serious.

The school does have recommended admissions, but there are only one or two. Especially when there are a lot of applicants, several places haven't been decided yet.

Su Qing had her own ambitions, but Peking is in Jiangcheng... so that's on the back burner.

Besides, her grades still need to improve.

"Keep going, classmate! You can do it."

Zhang Yihan had almost perfect scores in math, physics, and chemistry, with only Chinese and English being his weak points.

"Yes." The boy, feeling somewhat embarrassed by the encouragement, scratched his head.

"The competition is quite fierce. Jiang Sui in our class is also very good, almost superb. With him around, I'm not sure how to handle it, but I'll definitely have to give it a try!" Su Qing paused, writing a formula, clearly not expecting to hear Jiang Sui's name.

"Jiang Sui?"

"Yes, he's very good. Even though he often misses classes, his grades are pretty good. But I heard that lately look like... " Zhang Yihan blushed slightly as something occurred to him, and his hand kept pushing up his glasses.

He didn't know what to say, and ultimately chose to keep quiet.

He glanced briefly at Su Qing and noticed she didn't seem interested, simply absorbed in her own world as she worked on her homework.

Hardworking, excellent, quiet, and good-looking.

Suddenly, he felt relieved and fell silent.

Jiang Sui.

She didn't know how the Jiang Sui incident was resolved, but after changing seats, the world seemed a bit larger.

They didn't meet often.

Suddenly, someone popped into his mind, and Su Qing's attention wandered slightly.

Look like?

A hint of curiosity welled up in her heart.

Actually, it had nothing to do with her, did it? With a calm demeanor, Su Qing checked her answers on the completed test and began organizing her notebook of wrong answers.

"Qing Qing, come on, let's go! It's time for lunch! I'll give you a chicken leg!" Liu Ranran couldn't wait to run to her side the moment the bell rang.

Her current deskmate was a slightly chubby guy, just like her.

"I was planning to treat Su Qing to dinner today, but seeing how close the two sisters are, I won't bother,"

Zhang Yihan joked solemnly, then closed his textbook.

"Pssst, pssst, you're clearly stingy. Then you could treat me and Qing Qing." Liu Ranran stood aside, hands on her hips.

"I just pinched and think this lady eats too much..." Zhang Yihan squinted at Liu Ranran and teased without mercy.

"Zhang Yihan, I'm going to beat you to death!"

As Liu Ranran frequently visited Su Qing, she and Zhang Yihan became more familiar with each other. They often exchanged jokes, which Su Qing simply laughed off.

As Su Qing led Liu Ranran outside, she glared at Zhang Yihan, breathless.

A glimmer of light seemed to slowly filter through the dull and dark world.

Liu Ranran, determined to save her life, placed her chicken leg in Su Qing's bowl.

Su Qing smiled and returned it to her.

"Qing Qing, I've decided. I'll lose weight after this meal."

Liu Ranran blinked, her face calm, as she repeated the same words she told Su Qing every lunch time.

"Okay." The girl, with a very good temper, softly agreed.

"Qing Qing, you're so kind."

"Qing Qing, and by the way, I didn't mean to tell Hu Yifan your phone number that time. He said if I didn't, he'd report all the novels I read to the teacher."

Liu Ranran's face was filled with apology, and she looked at her chicken leg, feeling even more guilty.

"It's okay."

Su Qing paused as she ate her rice, then feigned anger, "If you do it again, you'll never eat my chicken leg again!"

The girl was making a rare joke, and Liu Ranran begged for mercy, saying, "No, no!"

Su Qing's eyes also lit up with a hint of a smile.

...

School gossip and romance always sparked longing in young girls.

Su Qing gripped her chopsticks and shook her head.

"He didn't ask me out. What are you thinking about? Eat!"

"Stop talking nonsense! I'll send your comics to the teacher's office too."

"Ah, Qing Qing, you've learned bad habits. I was just curious. Don't you know that Jiang Sui and that Xu Miaoran are together?"

?

The moment Su Qing raised her eyes, a hint of confusion crossed her features, and she asked.

"Ranran, what did you say?"

The girl was stunned.

Liu Ranran didn't seem to care, assuming Su Qing enjoyed the gossip, and replied.

"Jiang Sui and Xu Miaoran are fine now."

But just as the girl finished speaking, she seemed to see something.

"Speak of the devil, here comes the devil! Qing Qing, turn your head!"

At this moment, Su Qing wasn't the only one turning to look at the cafeteria entrance; many students inside were also watching.

The young man had a natural allure. He stood there nonchalantly, his fingers tapping on his phone, his eyes blank.

Xu Miaoran, wearing a white dress and long hair draped over her shoulders, stood to the side of the young man, her legs straight and exposed despite the late autumn weather.
