MARRIED
Episode 1
Growing up was not uneasy but not difficult. Both parents gave their all to ensure our football team family size was comfortable. Our schooling ages were perfectly timed. Each sibling taking after the other.
The same text books being used in JSS by all the 5 male children. The other 6 big sisters were quite ahead of us. Three of us, the male children, for financial expedience also had to read the same course in SSS. We were the last 3 male boys and we were all made to read business.
I started the race; right at the end of completing the other sibling took over my baton of textbooks. Our school ages were 3years apart which made it easy for our parents not to spend money on new text books all the time. I passed my SSS exams quite well and continued to college.
After 4years of hardwork, i completed with a good class, and got handpicked by a Dutch oil firm in Takoradi for national service after which i was given a full time employment. At age 23 i was already making good money and life was comfortable.
But there was a deficiency i never dealt with. Right from pre-school to College i had only 3 desires; My books, Movies and football. I was 23 already and i had never been in any friendship with the opposite sex besides the bond of family i have with my big sisters.
I have always fancied the idea of marrying at a young age. My cut off age was 25 years. I was now 23 and I knew i had 2 years more to realize my goal. Luckily for me, life was good and i was financially sound.
The search for a female friend to be my wife was on. I started by reading about relationships and the opposite sex. I also learnt how to get my swag on and sweet talk a lady. AB, my best friend and colleague at work, was the expert. He taught me a thing or two, great vibes and some pick up lines.
It all started on a fine Monday morning. We had just finished with our morning meeting and we were about to introduce the new service personnel for the year. We all sat and listened to our boss as he did the introduction of the services persons.
That was the moment she walked in. She was late in showing up for her first day as a service person. Her charming looks could only be defined by the 10mins of silence that fell on the entire staff as she walked into the meeting room.
