We knew it was you so we sent the house help to attend to the gate. The next thing we heard were 3 gun shoots. The officer at post picked his gun and rushed to the gate. The house help laid dead with a gun shot to her head while you laid unconscious by his side.
"Right that moment, it was like a memory was triggered in my mind. I remembered the moment when I felt a gun pointed at my head when I rang the bell.
The hit man ordered me not to make any sound. Right that moment the house help opened the gate, upon seeing the hitman with a gun to my head, she got scared and took to her heels in an attempt to alert the police officer. The hitman shot at her in the head. I managed to push him back and run into the compound towards the help. He fired two shots at me; a shot to my left thigh and another to the collar bone of my right shoulder. I fell hard to the ground hiting my head hard on the terrazo compound. That was all I could remember"
The officer and I rushed you to the hospital and ever since that time till now you never gained consciousness. The office of the vice president has been taken care of your hospital bills all this while and provided security 24/7 for the past 6 months.
I narrated to her the life I had lived in my sub consciousness. How I had finally got the chance to attend the exclusive audit professionals conference in South Africa, the family get together to celebrate how we managed to beat the covid spread in the family, meeting up with Joel who offered me a very good offer in Zambia and how I enjoyed working in Zambia for 4 months.
I still couldn't believe all of that was just a life in my mind. But interestingly that was what kept me alive all those months.
Selestinne handed over my baby boy to me. I felt such joy when I held him in my arms for the first time.
I was still observed for 2 more weeks after my miraculous recovery.
The year 2021 almost took my life away from me. But by the mercies of God I survived and got to see my family for the rest of the years and beyond.
