Jasmine caught my attention not just for her beauty, but she carried herself in a unique manner. Almost all the single ladies present were just throwing themselves at me just like mice on a cheese.
She stood far off and just approached me once during the whole party. She walked over to wish me well and good fortunes in the years ahead. She also had great interest in Kids and kept Phoebe company the whole time. The both had a good time together.
The two of them were in their own world. They cared little about the whole party, and were just enjoying each other's company. I was curious so i kept eavesdropping and i realised they were having very matured and purposeful conversations. She was educating Phoebe on the need to be ambitious and strive for excellence in all her endeavors.
Phoebe really had a good time and even exchanged contacts with her. She was the first lady i had seen her bond with since her mother's whole messy situation. I was extremely happy for my angel, who had turn 14 by then and was getting ready for senior high school.
I knew almost every lady at the party and those i knew not, i could tell were there to slay on my budget.
Jasmine was different, she cared less about who i was and drove an extremely expensive car.
I was intrigued and started asking around, lo and behold, she was AB's cousin who had been staying in the USA but had returned to Ghana for a business deal. She had heard a lot about me from AB and had decided to escort him to the party to make an acquaintance.
For the first time in 16years a lady besides Zuri had caught my attention. She was beautiful, classy and from her appearance and the car she drove, was practically doing well for herself.
I wanted to play the big boy game, so I didn't make any move; after all Phoebe had her contact so I can always take it from there.
But i approached AB and told him i would like to get to know his cousin.
He laughed and said; "my couson nor dey like dem ladies, she be dusted, wey she get class". I laughed and said; bro every lady has a price.
So the hunt for Jasmine begun.....
