Gildarts spoke from the side.
"I didn't do anything this time. Noah was the one who did all the hard work. If you've got questions, ask him. Don't look at me."
"Your presence here was already the best support we could ask for, and I must thank you for that."
"Alright, enough of that. What are your plans now?"
Noah cut in before Ulu could say more, asking what they intended to do in the future.
"I plan to take them traveling, let them see how vast the world really is."
"At the same time, I'll help Urrutia search for another way to treat her condition." Ulu glanced back at her daughter, her voice softening. "But this time, I'll be there to watch over the treatment myself."
Noah then recalled that Urrutia's illness came from the overwhelming magic inside her body pressing down and causing her constant fevers. It was only natural for Ulu to want to find a solution together with her daughter.
After everything that had happened at the Bureau of Magical Development, Ulu could no longer bring herself to leave her daughter's side. She had to be there to protect her.
"I know medical techniques. I can treat Urrutia's condition."
"Really?!"
Ulu suddenly grabbed Noah's shoulders, her voice trembling with urgency.
"Can you really solve my daughter's problem?"
Urrutia also looked up at him, her eyes full of hope. She longed to recover quickly, not only to ease her mother's suffering but also because she never wanted another tragedy like the Bureau incident to happen again.
Noah gently patted Ulu's arm, signaling for her to release him. Then he spoke calmly.
"Alright, I'm here now. Don't worry. I can fix Urrutia's condition. One of our guild members once suffered from the exact same symptoms, and he recovered."
From the side, Gildarts raised a brow.
"Noah, you're not talking about Laxus, are you?"
"Yes, Laxus," Noah replied, before turning back to explain to Ulu.
"Laxus is three years older than me. He's thirteen this year. He was also born with too much magic power, and his body couldn't handle it. In the end, he found a way to overcome it. But the method he used isn't suitable for Urrutia. I plan to use a similar approach to solve her problem."
Hearing this, Ulu's curiosity deepened.
"Can I ask what method he used?"
Noah shook his head.
"He relied on a very rare, almost lost artifact. There's only one in existence. There's no other."
Realizing she couldn't press further, Ulu instead asked another question.
"Then how do you plan to treat Urrutia?"
"Of course. You're her mother you have every right to know. My plan is to strengthen Urrutia's body."
"Strengthen her body?" Ulu repeated, puzzled.
"Yes. Think about it carefully. Do you remember why Urrutia became ill?"
"My innate magic power is too strong. My body can't handle it, so I'm constantly running high fevers."
"Exactly. The magic inside is too overwhelming, and her body can't bear the strain. So if her body isn't strong enough, wouldn't the solution be to strengthen it?"
"But how can I possibly strengthen her? Urrutia's health is so fragile right now. She can't even handle normal exercise."
"You don't need to strengthen your body too much, just enough to withstand the magic power. After that, you can build up your body naturally through exercise. But treatment can only begin once we return to Magnolia. All the materials I need are there."
"Then come back to Magnolia with us, and we'll help treat Urrutia," Noah invited.
Uru thought for a moment before nodding. "Alright. We'll pack up first, then head to Magnolia."
When Urrutia heard that her illness could be cured, her eyes sparkled. She hugged her mother's waist tightly, peeking up at Noah with anticipation.
Uru stroked her daughter's head with relief. If her illness could truly be healed, it would finally put her heart at ease.
Before leaving, everyone checked carefully to make sure nothing was left behind. Noah even helped level the ground, filling in the large crater so the place looked normal again. Then, with a wave of his magic, he teleported everyone back to the home of Uru's friend.
After saying their farewells, Uru returned home to pack her things, and once she was ready, Noah teleported the entire group straight back to Magnolia.
As soon as they arrived, Gildarts bolted ahead, waving his arms and shouting, "Kana-chan! Daddy's back! Kana-chan, Daddy missed you so much!" He disappeared down the street at lightning speed.
Everyone blinked in surprise. Uru tilted her head curiously.
"What was that all about?"
Noah chuckled and explained. "Gildarts has a daughter, Kana. She's eight years old. He dotes on her more than anything and rarely leaves her side. The moment he got back, of course he rushed straight home to see her."
Watching Gildarts vanish into the distance, Uru let out a soft sigh.
"I can see that. I have a daughter too, so I understand. No matter how long the trip, the first thing you want is to hold your child again."
Urrutia's grip on her mother's waist tightened at those words, and Uru gently patted her daughter's head in return.
Seeing this, Noah clapped his hands lightly.
"Alright, let's not linger in the street. Come to my house first. I'll check Urrutia's condition right away."
"Yes, please," Uru replied quickly. Her daughter's health mattered more than anything, and she was desperate for answers.
Noah led them through Magnolia and into his home. As he opened the door, the group was greeted by the sight of Erza and the others lounging comfortably after training and lunch.
The sound of the door startled them, and when they saw who had entered, Erza leapt up from the sofa and hurried over.
"Brother Noah! Didn't you say you'd be gone for a few days? Why are you back so soon? And who are these people?"
"It all went smoothly. The woman here is Uru, and this is her daughter, Urrutia. The two boys with them are her apprentices, Gray and Lyon."
At that moment, Simon and Kagura, who had also been resting, came forward. Everyone exchanged introductions, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Once the greetings were done, Noah led Uru and Urrutia into his laboratory on the first floor.
This laboratory was usually where Noah conducted experiments. Though he had been too focused on studying magic to perform many experiments recently, all the necessary equipment remained neatly in place.
After carefully running a few tests on Urrutia, Noah came to a conclusion. Her physical strength and magical reserves weren't far apart in scale. However, because of the reckless and invasive experiments performed by the Magic Development Bureau, her body carried numerous internal injuries.
The treatment would need to focus on slow recovery healing her body while gradually strengthening her constitution to match her magical power.
When Uru saw her daughter's overall condition wasn't as dire as she had feared, some of her deep resentment toward the Magic Development Bureau finally eased.
