"Want some more!"
Completely confused and deeply ashamed, Saru stood up before the crowd staring at him. With a furious look, he shouted at me:
"I swear I'll take my revenge, Henray Kamatsu. Then you'll feel what I felt!"
With a confident smile, I shot back:
"Don't worry, that will never happen."
Enraged, he charged without warning—but he forgot I was a skilled fighter. Without even turning around, I made him fall once again.
To be honest, he's powerful, but his problem is that he charges straight ahead like a bull seeing red. I bet even Aruna could defeat him using only magic. As for me, I used my katana and a bit of magic—maybe too much. My katana allows me to slip between things like a serpent, but it can also expand in size and change its material based on my knowledge. It can even transform into dragon scales we had used during the trial of strength. But there's one problem: even though the scales are durable, they don't allow for clean cutting, which is a huge issue when it comes to katanas.
After the duel, we each went home. Once at the manor, I prepared myself for bed as usual after changing my clothes. But before that, I rushed to the workshop to finish what I had been working on. Yes, I was trying to create a console to play video games. You might ask, "Why didn't you just bring one from your old world?" The answer is simple: I wanted to keep the joy of building it myself. Of course, I had a model in front of me to follow. The main difference is that instead of using electricity, it runs on mana.
The next day, I got ready for new lessons and another day at the academy. There, I met up with Aruna and went to talk to her. On the way to class, I noticed Saru. Smiling, I ordered him:
"From now on, dear servant, you shall call me 'my lord' and kneel every time you see me."
"What? Why are you acting so weird? Are you crazy or just stupid?" asked Saru, confused.
"You forgot our deal. You are my servant. So kneel, Servant!" I replied in a serious tone.
Suddenly, he knelt down, embarrassed and angry. I praised him with a mocking smile.
Classes began. We started studying advanced magic spells such as Superior Water Jet and Superior Fireball. We also learned the difference between superior magic and demonic magic. Then, we applied what we had studied during the theory lesson in the practical magic class.
At lunch break, I sat next to Aruna as usual. But this time, things were different. Not only was everyone staring at us, but some even came to sit with us. At first, I thought it was because I was the prince, but no—last time they didn't act like that. Maybe it was because I won the duel against Saru. But then again, a duel can't change everything… right?
In the afternoon, we studied the continent of the gods (evolved humans), especially the Kingdom of Chira. While talking about its culture, the teacher mentioned that someone could explain it all to us. Suddenly, all eyes turned toward me as if I held the answer—even Aruna turned to look at me. Perplexed, I started asking myself questions.
A month later, the day I had been waiting for finally arrived. It was visitation day. Each month, parents came to the academy to see their children. I had been waiting for this moment for so long. Even though I had only been away from my parents for a month, I already missed them. I was thrilled and impatient, especially because I had a question for my mother.
An hour before the scheduled time, I arrived at the academy, already prepared for the meeting. It feels so good to see your parents again after not seeing them for about a month. But above all, it's such a joy to tell them everything that happened. I had also heard that my father had become the greatest swordmaster of the clan of the ancients and of humans. I couldn't wait for him to tell me about it.
An hour later, I was called. My parents had arrived and were waiting for me. Well, I had been waiting for them too—eagerly. As I walked forward, my heart pounded with happiness and anticipation.
When I entered the room, I found my parents waiting for me, hoping I was doing well. To reassure them, I rushed forward, hugged them tightly, and held them close. After a long discussion about what we had experienced during that short period, I began to ask them various questions. Moments later, I asked my mother something that shocked her:
"Mom, why is it that when we talked about the geography of the continent of the gods, especially the Kingdom of Chira, everyone looked at me as if I knew everything?"
