Chapter 5 - Chapter 4

A few weeks later, after a meticulous investigation, they could not find the maid's murderer.

Evans, for his part, continued training and left Aria in the care of his maid.

At the back of the garden; Evans sat down, having just finished training.

"I finally have the conditions of a healthy body at this age; now I must start getting stronger"

A few minutes later, Evans got up and went to his room to take a shower. After bathing he changed his clothes, all the clothes in his closet were black or dark tones.

"I think I should find an opportunity to buy new clothes to renew my wardrobe."

in the employee kitchen.

Evans was eating quietly when his brothers burst in.

-Bastard, it seems you recognize where you belong. -Henry said with a mocking attitude.

Evans feigned shyness and remained silent.

Henry looked at him maliciously and said:

-Come with us!

"Damn brats, they're finally doing something."

Some employees in the kitchen seemed worried, but upon seeing Henry's threatening gaze, they preferred to look away and ignore what was happening.

Evans followed his brothers to a training field that was strangely lonely.

-Apparently you have forgotten the hierarchy. You are just the son of a cheap woman. -Henry said as he took out a metal sword from his magical storage bag.

-Stop insulting my mother! -Evans shouted.

Henry laughed and then said:

-So this bastard knows how to talk back.

With his sword in his hand, Henry begins to say:

-There is a hierarchy that you should not forget; because in...

"Is this self-absorbed bastard just going to talk? I have to speed this up."

Evans runs into a fist and yells at Henry:

-Don't insult my mother again!

The flat of Henry's sword hits the side of Evans' head.

Henry seems angry as his speech was interrupted, he approaches and begins kicking and hitting Evans with the sword, Osvald joins in; but Evans gets back up with effort to try to hit Henry; Evans takes another similar beating, but gets back up, this time showing some power as he shouts:

-Don't insult my mother again!

Henry didn't understand what was happening, he saw everything moving, his body seemed light; That was until Henry fell to the ground and rolled a little over a meter.

-Don't insult my mother again.

Evans turned his gaze to Osvald.

Osvald fled, as he had never been brave, he took refuge in Henry.

Evans heard several footsteps approaching.

"That's great, although it's only superficial, I have so many bruises that you'd think I had a sudden awakening."

When some guards appeared at the entrance to the training ground, they saw Henry on the ground and Evans standing covered in bruises.

Evans, upon seeing the soldiers, pretended to faint.

Evans was lying in his bed, he pretended to wake up. Next to Evans was a wizard of about 60 years old, wearing a gray robe. The magician got up and said to the maid:

-The young lord must rest for a week.

As the magician walked away, Evans' maid said to him:

-Thank you, your excellency.

"It's very annoying to be acting. Fortunately, in a week I will be able to use my energy and no one will doubt my identity."

When everyone left the room, Evans sat on the edge of the bed.

"I think I should order those elixirs now; there is no better time, no, a week will go by quickly, I must be patient."

Evans' room

Since Evans did not want to waste time, he continued training and circulating his energy so that his body could adapt.

While its energy circulated, the body began to gradually synchronize with the new soul that inhabited it.

Concentrated on the circulation of energy, Evans did not think about anything else, but when he finished he tried to search his mind, he only had power and knowledge, there was no trace of what he was, nor of the memories of the real Evans.

The week of rest ended, Evans returned to tour the mansion, the gaze of many servants was complicated, although there were still several who looked at him with contempt.

"Don't worry, I haven't forgotten your faces or your words, I'll collect the debts"

Evans walked to the back garden, sat leaning against a tree, closed his eyes for a few seconds, when he opened them he got up and began his physical training.

A few days later; Duke's Study.

A rather solemn place, well organized, a library on one side, some paintings and a top quality wooden floor. In front of an old desk but in excellent condition was the Duke.

-You already know, what do you want? -The Duke asked without looking away from the documents he had been reading.

Evans was looking with feigned shyness at his father.

"What I want; yes, the elixirs"

-Father, I wish for elixirs to strengthen my body and increase the mana in my body.

The Duke looked at his son with a dark and indecipherable look, then said:

-Low level elixirs for now, your body has to adapt. 7 elixirs of physical strengthening and 7 elixirs of mana, every week; If you have progressed in two years, I will give you mid-level elixirs.

After the Duke finished speaking silence prevailed for a few seconds until Evans said:

-Thank you, father. I won't let you down.

Evans was going to take the opportunity to withdraw, but the Duke told him:

-Do you only want that?

"Can I ask for more? Well, I can try."

-I hope it's not an indiscretion; but I would like my maid to teach Lizet etiquette so that she becomes Aria's maid.

-You're sure?

"Why wouldn't I be?"

-Yes, father, that is what I wish.

-Okay, I'll grant it; you can withdraw.

Evans bowed and left.
