JAY's POV
I woke up at 5 am today due to a knock on the door. Keifer was still in deep sleep beside me, hands wrapped around my waist, face buried in my shoulder.
I carefully and silently slipped out as to not wake him up and opened the door.
Mateo was standing there.
I stepped out and closed the door behind me.
Jay: Mateo? What r u doing here this early in the morning?
Mateo: jay, godfather sent me her to tell u that we will be leaving to go back to the province for 2-3 days.
Jay: what? Why? And when?
Mateo: u and the dream team will be leaving today at 8 am sharp for league business.
Jay: what league business?
Mateo: I got a list of local gangs and leader from the province. We have to meet up with them and make them join the league.
Jay: it's too early for that and we can't just leave like that.
Mateo: don't u remember what yuri said. We don't know when Kaiser might attack, we need to be ready and gather as much forces and allies as possible and as soon as possible.
Jay: ok, fi-
"Jay?"
We turned to the voice and found kuya angelo stand a little far from us, arms crossed, brows furrowed, staring at me and Mateo.
Jay: kuya, what r u doing here so early.
Kuya: I should be asking u that jay.
Jay: we were just discussing somethings.
Kuya: what things were u discussing so early in the morning?
Jay: it's just some league business.
Kuya: what league business?
Mateo: she has to go back to the province with us for a few days.
Kuya looked at Mateo and then me.
Kuya: is this true jay?
Jay: yes kuya. I have to go back to the province for 2-3 days. I have some meetings there with some local gangs and leaders.
Kuya: for what?
Jay: I can't tell u that kuya. I have already said too much.
Kuya: ok. Then me and aries will come with u. We have some work there as well.
Jay: what work?
Kuya: it's regarding ur inheritance. U and aries will be getting the fernandez and mariano inheritance and I will be guiding u both through fer Corp business and will have some meeting with the investors.
Jay: but I won't have the time for that and besides I'm already being trained in handling league business. If I do both tasks then it might take more than 3 days.
Kuya: we can stay there for 4-5 days then and be back before ur result day. It's time u both get ur inheritance. We have already delayed it bcz of the problems.
Jay: ok kuya. We will be leaving at 8 am sharp.
Kuya: good. I'll go tell aries about this.
Jay: ok, I'll go pack my bags and tell keifer and Mateo u go tell the dream team to get ready as well.
Mateo ok jay, I'll go inform them right away. Meet us in the hall, breakfast will be ready in a while, we'll leave after eating.
Jay: ok.
They both left and I went back inside the room. Keifer was still asleep. I decided to freshen up and pack my bags first before telling him.
It was 6:27 am by the time I was done. Then I went to keifer to wake him up.
Jay: keifer, wake up.
Keifer( voice low and hoarse ): mmh. Just a bit longer jay.
Jay: wake up keifer. I have to tell u something.
Keifer: ok ok I'm up.
He sat up stretch a bit, rubbed his eyes, stood up and then smiled lazily at me.
Keifer: gm wifey😏
Jay: gm keifer😊
He looked me up and down and then looked at the suitcase and bag beside me.
Keifer: where r u going all dressed up and packed up jay?
Jay: I have to go to the province for 4-5 days with kuya, aries and the dream team for my inheritance and league work. But I'll be back before result day.
Keifer: I'll come with u then.
Jay: no keifer u have to stay here and look after ur brothers and the others. It's safe for u to be here.
Keifer: but how can I live without u for 4-5 whole days jay. Pls let me come with u. I can help u with ur inheritance and ur league work.
Jay: no keifer. U need to stay here. I'll be back as soon as possible ok. For the time being u stay here, look after the others and help godfather here ok. The less people who leave the more safe it is. We don't know when Kaiser might make a move, it's the safest for u to stay here.
Keifer: fine but u better come back as soon as possible, contact me everyday for atleast 3 times and I want something when u come back.
Jay: I promise I will come back as soon as possible, contact u whenever possible and I will also take u on a date when I come back. It will be here at the base only but on the top floor Private restaurant and I will give u some kisses as well to make up for the lost days. Is that enough to keep u here.
Keifer: never but I will wait for u like u did for me before. But on one condition, I will agree if u kiss me right now and it better be long one.
Jay: why?
Keifer: u r leaving for 4-5 whole days jay, I'm going to need something to keep me here otherwise I will follow u to the province.
Jay: fine.
Without wasting a second, he pulled me close by my waist and crashed his lips with mine.
A soft kiss at first that gradually deepened. His one hand cupped my face while the other stayed on my waist, pulling me closer until there was no space left between us. My hands slid up his chest to the back of his neck, playing with his hair.
One kiss led to another then another until we were both left breathless, cheeks flushed, hair a mess, lips swollen.
Keifer( breathless ): I'm going to miss u so damn much.
Jay( breathless): me too. Now come on, let's go to the dining table, the others r waiting for us.
We made our way to the dining table. Kuya, aries, mom, dad, percy, godfather and the dream team were already eating there food when we came.
Jay and keifer: gm.
" gm jay and keifer "
Aries: why do u both look like that? What did u do?
Jay: nothing.
I answered to quickly.
Keifer( smirking ): yeah, absolutely nothing.
Kuya: don't act like that. It's too clear that u both kissed. It's ok as long as nothing else was done.
Aries( shocked ): what? U r really letting them kiss.
Kuya: what can I do, they r both in a relationship, both adults and they will kiss each other even after I say otherwise.
Aries glared at both of us while eating his foo and keifer just smirked at him.
I ignored them and ate my food as fast as possible.
Soon the others joined as well and I told them about the trip. They were devastated and wanted to protest but none of them even dare say a word in front of kuya.
We all finished our food and then said our goodbyes.
Papa: bye jay, take care. Angelo will give u both your inheritance from the mariano side and once we r safe to travel, I will take u both to New York and guide u through the mariano empire, ok.
Jay: ok papa. U take care as well. I'll be back soon.
Godfather: bye jay. Take care. The others will go to the meeting with u help u get them to join our league, ok.
Jay: ok godfather. U take care as well and keifer will help u here if u need anything. And u already know what things to tell him and what not to. Take care of each other ok, keep him safe for me.
Godfather: ofc jay. No need to worry about it.
We said our goodbyes and left.
Me, Kuya, Aries, James and Jordan were in one car with Jordan driving.
Aya, Mateo, Mason and Alex were in the other car with Alex driving. We had two more cars with us with 4-5 bodyguards in each and made our way towards the province.
