BOOM!!!
Mjolnir was shattered!
The pieces scattered across the ground.
Thor's eyes widened in disbelief. How was this possible? He knew it was forged from Uru metal! To not only catch but shatter Mjolnir? It was simply impossible! His mouth slightly agape, his eyes were filled with a complex mix of emotions.
"How could it break?!" Tony's armor was largely destroyed, and even his helmet had fallen off. He propped himself up against a wall on the second-floor terminal, his gaze fixed on the scattered pieces of the hammer.
His pupils contracted into tiny pinpricks. His heart pounded faster. He couldn't even begin to imagine how strong Hela was. He knew they had all attacked her together, but not only did they fail to harm her, they had all been defeated!
Captain America, stumbling out of a cargo container, looked at the scene before him, feeling utterly defeated. He had faced many powerful enemies, but this time, he felt completely helpless. Even if they had worked together, they wouldn't have had a chance.
The others, slowly getting up from the ground, all looked on with apprehension and fear. Thor had boasted more than once that Mjolnir was a legendary artifact, a treasure so precious he would compare it to his lover. But this unconquerable weapon had been casually grabbed and shattered into pieces.
And Hela was summoned by the mysterious person? This thought lingered in everyone's minds.
They had clearly seen Hela's subservient demeanor toward him!
Their enemy was far too powerful, and this was with the mysterious person behind her not even lifting a finger. If he had intervened, they couldn't imagine what would have happened to them. They knew far too little about that mysterious person.
Only Wanda looked on in shock. She knew it was Cassius, but she couldn't understand how he knew the Goddess of Death, Hela. What puzzled her even more was why such a powerful being would listen to Cassius's orders.
She knew her own powers had grown exponentially, but the power she had just witnessed was far beyond her ability to contend with. From every angle, even if she had joined the fight, it would have been futile. Hela's power was simply too great, and she carried a certain elegance in every move she made. It was as if she had known she would win all along. It was all a complete mystery to her!
"Damn you! How dare you destroy Mjolnir!" Thor, upon regaining his senses, had eyes that seemed to be spitting fire. This was his most beloved weapon, and it had been crushed!
In his rage, the entire sky darkened, and thunder and lightning roared deafeningly. Streaks of lightning raced across the sky. But without Mjolnir, he couldn't summon the lightning. Thor charged at Hela, each step leaving a deep footprint in the concrete.
"Die!" Thor threw a punch, his body slightly lowered, clearly preparing to follow up with an uppercut.
"You do look a little like the old man, but your power is far inferior," Hela looked at the distraught Thor, her voice still mocking. She elegantly and calmly dodged his continuous attacks.
The contempt in her eyes only infuriated Thor more. He had never imagined Hela's power would be this great. Even so, he didn't back down. He continued to attack Hela.
"Stop dodging, if you have the guts!" Thor's enraged voice echoed across the airport.
"Heh." Hela sneered, her expression suddenly serious. She made a fist with her left hand, punching back. At the same time, her body moved like a blur, instantly appearing behind Thor. She grabbed him by the collar, lifted him, and slammed him onto the ground. She then dragged him forward at an incredible speed.
In the blink of an eye, Hela had used Thor to gouge a deep trench in the ground. She then threw him into the air and, with a back kick, sent him flying. The entire sequence of moves was fluid and graceful. The others didn't even have time to react before Thor was lying helplessly on the ground!
"Thor!" The others saw what was happening and were about to rush toward Hela. But just then, Hela raised her hand to the sky and gave a gentle tug. A terrifying beam of light descended!
BOOM!
With a loud bang, the group was instantly blown away by the beam. Even those who were farther away couldn't resist the pressure from the attack.
This terrifying scene made everyone feel a sense of despair. They tried to get up, but their bodies were in too much pain to attack again. Hela's power was too great, so great that they couldn't even fight back.
"Cough, cough..." Thor slowly got up, coughing, with blood at the corner of his mouth. He felt an intense pain throughout his body. Hela's power was far beyond his own. He felt that the only person who could possibly contend with her was his father, Odin.
He could sense in his sister a power that was not much different from his father's. He finally understood why Odin had told him to just report back if he found Hela. This was not a being he could defeat.
"You truly are a weakling," Hela looked at the disheveled Thor, who looked like a dog, and smirked. But for some reason, her eyes also held a hint of jealousy. Yes, an indescribable jealousy! Why was she jealous of a pathetic weakling?
"I'm not a weakling!" Thor gritted his teeth, enduring the pain as he got up, roaring in frustration. He was no weakling; he was the strongest!
"Not a weakling?" Hela scoffed, tilting her head slightly. "That old man Odin wanted you, a pathetic weakling, to be king!"
She couldn't understand why this weakling could be king. He had received so many resources, but he was still a useless piece of garbage. She hadn't even used much of her power to easily pin him to the ground.
She was the one who was most fit to be queen. After all, she was the only one with such great power. And she couldn't accept that such a man was her brother.
"I'm not!" Thor gritted his teeth, clenching his fists, his eyes filled with defiance.
This was the first time he had felt so small. He had thought he could have a great battle with Hela. But in their first exchange, he was beaten down. And what hurt him most was that even with all his strength, he couldn't inflict a single bit of damage on Hela.
He gritted his teeth. Everything around him seemed to slow down as streaks of light flashed around him. In an instant, he appeared in front of Hela, his body wrapped in lightning. He was like a cannonball, colliding with Hela.
Driven by his rage, Thor's power began to rise. He could vaguely see Hela's movements and even felt that he could keep up with her speed. He threw a punch with his right hand, his eyes flashing with light. His fist was just a hair's breadth away from Hela's face. The punch, carrying immense energy, even caused the ground around them to crack.
Just then, he saw a smile on Hela's lips.
Pfft!
A sharp pain shot through his stomach. He looked down and saw that Hela had delivered a powerful uppercut to his abdomen. The next moment, a tremendous pain spread through his body.
With just that uppercut, he was sent flying into the sky. Hela bent her knees and leapt from the ground, the incredible force cracking and twisting the concrete around her. She grabbed his head and dragged it across the light beam at high speed. She then grabbed him by the collar, spun him around in the air, and slammed him down to the ground.
Thor was like a meteorite, crashing into the ground. Because of the sheer speed, his body even caught on fire!
BOOM! Crack!
The ground instantly cracked, and a huge crater was formed in the concrete within a thirty-meter radius of Thor. Countless fragments flew out, and Thor's body was embedded in the ground.
"Stop! Stop it!" Wanda couldn't bear to watch Thor being beaten and finally shouted. She knew that Cassius would not let Thor die like this. But if the fight continued, even if Thor didn't die, he would be permanently crippled. It was all meaningless at this point, since Thor had no way to fight back.
Clack.
Hela landed next to the prone Thor, her high-heeled shoe resting on his head.
"Don't ask me, ask him!" Hela said with a smile, turning to look at the figure on the tower. After all, she wasn't the one in charge. She was just following orders to stop these people from fighting. The easiest way to stop a fight was to beat everyone into submission.
"Cough, cough..." At that moment, Cassius coughed lightly from the tower. With just that sound, Hela lifted her foot and took a few steps back with a smile.
Thor, who had been pinned down, could finally lift his head and gasp for air. He couldn't understand why there was such a huge power gap between him and his sister. It had become a one-sided beatdown. Even though he could now use a bit of his lightning power, it was still useless.
Lying on the ground, he tried to get up, but all his bones felt broken. He could only turn his head and stare at Hela with hatred.
"You fool, your power can never match mine," Hela looked down at the beaten Thor with contempt. Thor's power wasn't even enough to make the fight entertaining for her.
In fact, if Cassius hadn't given her an order, she could have easily killed everyone present. They were just a bunch of useless Midgardians. In her eyes, they were less than a tiny insect.
Tony and the others, though they saw Thor's pathetic state, were too severely injured to help. Tony's armor was almost completely destroyed and was useless. Steve, who was a short distance away, could barely get up, but he had no chance of fighting.
They could only look at the figure on the tower with despair. In the sunlight, the figure looked even more mysterious.
"Everyone, there's no need to fight over something so meaningless." The voice seemed to echo in their minds. The figure on the tower slowly floated up, walking down the air as if on stairs, moving slowly toward them.
