Chapter 80 - The Dominant Cassius and Odin's Plan to Meet Him!

"Everyone, calm down." Cassius stood in the air above them, his feet seemingly stepping on nothing.

They all squinted, looking up at him. The dazzling sun shone right behind him. Even with their eyes narrowed, they could only see a vague outline of his body. They could only vaguely make out that he was wearing all black.

"Who is this?" Tony had a serious expression. The black mist had dispersed, but to him, the mysterious person's face was shrouded in a fog. No matter how he looked at it, he couldn't make out the man's features. It was a very strange feeling, as if he would forget what he saw the moment he saw it.

Even so, the man gave him a very familiar feeling. It was as if he had seen this person somewhere before, but he couldn't remember where.

The other Avengers also strained to see his face. But what they saw was the same as Tony. They couldn't see a thing, and even if they did, they would forget it.

As he spoke, everything around them seemed to be enveloped in a mysterious power. This power calmed their agitated hearts. Tony was the most affected. As he felt this calm, all the events that had just happened flashed before his eyes.

"What was I doing?!" He had so many ways to solve this problem, but he had chosen the most aggressive one.

The voice seemed to cleanse their minds. The more they felt it, the more shocked they became. This power was too terrifying. It forced them to abandon their emotions and think rationally.

As the sun shone down, the figure of the mysterious person was like a dark cloud, covering their hearts.

If Hela had brought them despair, this mysterious person brought them terror. A bottomless terror. Even someone as powerful as Hela had to obey this person's orders. This could only mean one thing: this person was far more powerful than Hela.

They couldn't even defeat Hela, let alone this mysterious person. It was laughable that they had held a meeting to discuss how to deal with this mysterious person if he became their enemy. Now, it was clear that no matter how much they struggled, they would never be a match for him.

At this moment, only one person was standing normally. That was Wanda.

'This guy, he still loves to show off.' Wanda looked up at Cassius, shaking her head helplessly.

From his every move, one might think he was a god. Oh, wait... even the Goddess of Death, Hela, obeyed Cassius's every word.

'Just how many secrets does this guy have? He's getting more and more mysterious,' Wanda thought to herself. Every time she thought she had figured Cassius out, another veil would appear.

Whumph.

Cassius twisted his right hand in the air, and a golden, sparkling Inter-Dimensional Portal opened. A figure fell out from ten feet up in the air.

Splat!

He landed with a thud, letting out a painful groan. As they focused on the man, they saw that he was a German man. His clothes were tattered, and his exposed skin was covered in wounds. It was obvious that this person had been beaten up not long ago! Otherwise, he wouldn't have so many injuries!

"Weren't you all looking for the mastermind? This is the mastermind," Cassius shrugged from the sky. He loved to watch a good show. As a transmigrator who had watched Marvel, watching the events unfold in person was a great source of entertainment. Besides, if this were a movie, it would be very exciting.

"The mastermind?" After he calmed down, Tony finally focused on the man. He also felt that something was off. It was as if they had been manipulated all along. Every move they made had a strange, inexplicable quality to it. Although Steve would stand by his friend, the possibility of him lying was very low. Perhaps it truly had nothing to do with Bucky.

Black Panther's brows were tightly furrowed. He still hadn't figured out what was going on. But from the mysterious person's tone, it seemed things were not so simple.

"T'Challa, the one who planned your father's death was this guy."

"However, it really has nothing to do with Bucky."

"As for Bucky's rampage later, it was because Zemo had a hypnotic trigger from Hydra."

"The reason Zemo did this was because his family died in the Sokovia battle."

Cassius calmly explained the whole story. To be honest, Zemo was just a pitiful person. A mistake had caused him to lose his family, and it was only natural for him to be angry.

As the truth was revealed, scenes flashed through Black Panther's eyes. The veins on his forehead bulged, and his eyes were filled with an endless murderous intent. If he wasn't so badly injured, he would have torn this man named Zemo to shreds.

Wanda and the others had mixed feelings. It was because of their actions that Zemo had lost his family. In an instant, everyone fell silent. No one spoke. They all just lowered their heads, quietly watching everything unfold.

"This guy is for you to deal with." After Cassius finished speaking, he looked at Hela. "Hela, we're leaving."

"Okay," Hela nodded slightly, and was about to fly into the sky, but just then, Thor's hoarse roar came from behind them.

"Hela, come back with me to see Odin!" He screamed, struggling to his feet despite the pain. Large beads of sweat dripped from his forehead. This battle had left him severely injured. Even so, he had no intention of stopping, hoping that Hela would obediently come back with him.

"Hmph, you fool." Hela scoffed. "Me, go back? Tell Odin to come get me himself! Otherwise, I'll go back to Asgard one day and kill him!"

She truly hadn't expected her so-called brother to be so foolish. Go back? Only if Odin willingly gave up his throne and died in front of her. Otherwise, she would never go back! The thought of the centuries she spent sealed away made her furious.

"You're being deluded! You're no match for Father!" Thor covered his chest, roaring with all his might. If Odin really came, Hela's only option was death!

"Even better. He'd better kill me, or I'll kill him!" After saying that, Hela flew directly toward Cassius in the sky. She no longer wanted to talk to this weak man. Even though he was her brother, power was everything.

"Ah!" Thor gritted his teeth, his teeth stained with crimson blood. His legs bent, the veins in his thighs bulging as his eyes filled with rage. This time, his target was no longer Hela, but the mysterious person in the sky. Although he didn't know why Hela listened to this mysterious person, he was willing to fight to the death.

"Thor!"

"Don't go! Come back!"

"You're no match for him!"

The Avengers' faces showed a look of anxiety. They never expected Thor to fight to the death at a time like this. If he wasn't a match for Hela, he was certainly not a match for this mysterious person!

As the figure got closer, lightning flashed on Thor's fists.

"Oh? He still has some energy left?" Cassius looked down at the charging Thor, a slight smile on his face.

Asgardian physique was indeed impressive. To still be able to struggle and resist after being beaten to this extent was a testament to their durability. He gently pushed his right hand down, and an indescribable pressure instantly enveloped Thor. He immediately felt a terrifying force pressing down on him.

Whoosh! Bang!

With a loud bang, Thor was slammed into the ground. Only his head was visible above the surface.

Crack... crack... crack... The ground around him began to contract, trapping Thor firmly in place.

"Fool," Cassius looked at the trapped Thor with a hint of condescension.

"Friday, have you detected anything?" Tony asked, gritting his teeth and clutching his broken ear armor.

"Boss, after scanning, the power level is consistent with the residual energy from the previous earthquake!" When Friday gave her report, Tony's expression became extremely grim. He had felt something was wrong with the previous earthquake, so he had run a check. But it didn't match the mysterious person, so he stopped suspecting him.

But he never expected that this mysterious person had two such terrifying powers at the same time.

That was a magnitude-8 earthquake! It was a power that could easily destroy a city!

This made Tony look at Cassius with even more fear and caution. This man was a natural disaster on Earth. They simply had no way to deal with a monster like him.

"Let's go!" Cassius waved his right hand, and a stream of light burst forth. A golden Inter-Dimensional Portal appeared above them. The two of them were then enveloped in a golden halo and disappeared from the spot.

Watching them leave, everyone present couldn't help but let out a long sigh of relief.

"That was too dangerous. The Goddess of Death was terrifying!"

"The most terrifying one was that mysterious person. We have no idea what his goal is!"

"But it looks like he's trying to help us, but this is not the way to help!"

"I can't think of anything in the world that can stop him!"

The Avengers all collapsed onto the ground, feeling relieved to have survived. Although the mysterious person hadn't used any spells, his mere presence had filled them with extreme fear.

While they could still muster up the courage to attack the Goddess of Death, they didn't even have the courage to attack this mysterious person. That strange power could even change their emotions and calm them down. The more they felt it, the more they realized the immense power gap between them.

"It's finally over." Tony pulled off a piece of his shattered armor and sat on the ground, looking exhausted. But he had to admit that if this mysterious person hadn't shown up, he didn't know what would have happened next.

After resting for a long time, Tony stood up and walked toward Steve. When they saw what Tony was doing, the relaxed Avengers tensed up. No one knew what would happen next!

Tony walked over to Steve, who was leaning against a container, and extended his right hand. Steve looked at Tony in disbelief, and when he saw the small smile on his face, he took his hand and stood up.

"Captain, I did something really stupid. I apologize." Tony took a deep breath, apologizing sincerely. If he had just thought it through, they wouldn't have had to fight like this.

"I was too impulsive as well. Ross really pushed me to..." Steve shook his head, admitting his mistake. After all, they were all on the same team; there was no need to take it this far.

"Alright, that's enough!" Natasha walked between the two of them, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Just take the guy to Ross, and we can all get some shawarma." After all, they had technically completed their mission.

Seeing the reunited team, Wanda's lips also curled into a slight smile. This was the scene she had always wanted to see.

....

Back at the Avengers Compound.

After a quick cleanup, everyone gathered around the dining table. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood, except for Thor, who was quietly nibbling on a cookie.

"Wanda, who exactly is this boyfriend of yours?" Tony couldn't help but ask. He had a feeling that the person had come to help them. Otherwise, he wouldn't have captured Zemo and revealed the whole truth.

But the more he thought about it, the more curious he was about this person's identity. Who could command the Goddess of Death, Hela?

"I... I don't know what to say. I'll find a time to bring him over," Wanda's expression was a little conflicted. Even though they had become a couple, Cassius's relationships were just... too complicated! She was now even wondering if he had subdued the Goddess of Death.

"I hope that day comes soon. I'll prepare a grand banquet." Tony's face lit up with excitement. This mysterious person was terrifyingly powerful. If he could become one of them, it would make the Avengers much stronger.

"Everyone, I'm going to skip dinner. I have to go back to Asgard for a while!" Thor stuffed a waffle into his mouth, suddenly standing up. Without a word to anyone, he leapt out the window. Watching his retreating back, everyone sighed helplessly. They could all tell that Thor had been hit hard this time.

....

Asgard.

"You've seen her?" Odin looked at the dejected Thor, vaguely guessing what had happened. But he wasn't surprised. His son still had a lot of potential. It was only natural that he couldn't defeat Hela right now.

"I've seen her, but Hela... seems to be working for a Midgardian." Thor told him everything that had happened. The more he listened, the more shocked Odin's face became. He knew how arrogant Hela was, yet she had submitted to someone and even become a subordinate. He himself couldn't make Hela submit, not even by sealing her away.

"If that's the case, the one who helped Hela escape is likely that mysterious person." Odin came to his own conclusion. The possibility was very high.

"Father, what should I do next?" Thor gritted his teeth, looking at Odin with a defiant look.

Odin didn't speak for a long time. Then he finally said, "That mysterious Midgardian you speak of is very powerful. It seems I will have to go meet him myself."
