"I don't care who you are! No one can invade Asgard while I am here!"
An enraged Thor lifted Mjolnir, the hammer his father gave him, and gathered the endless power of thunder from all directions.
The power of the lightning fell directly into the hands of Hela, the Goddess of Death. To Thor's dismay, this detestable goddess was able to catch Mjolnir with her bare hand once again. The lightning energy had no effect on her.
"Mjolnir? It's been a long time!" Hela said.
"Hmph! Let go of it!" Thor growled.
A violent surge of power instantly filled Thor's body as his eyes pulsed with the power of thunder.
"You are just like Odin when he was young—the same ignorance, the same arrogance," Hela said.
Hela was here to destroy Asgard entirely. The army she brought with her consisted of the Asgardian warriors who had fought alongside her. They were now her undead soldiers. These warriors had fallen in battle against the Giants of Jotunheim, the Fire Giants, and even the Eternals, but instead of entering Soul Castle, they had entered the underworld. In that eternally cold, silent world, they had become her army.
As she spoke, a powerful aura of death erupted from Hela, instantly knocking Thor back.
"Loki! Now!" Thor cried.
Loki, the God of Mischief and Trickery, was Thor's younger brother, but not Odin's biological son. As the son of Laufey, the Frost King, he had been raised by Odin. While he didn't have much affection for Odin, he deeply respected Queen Frigga. So Loki acted.
Unfortunately, Hela's divine power was blessed with half of Asgard's power, far exceeding that of an average God-Father. Loki and Thor, in their current state, were no match for her. Even a healthy Odin would not be able to defeat her now that he had grown old. The two brothers were sent flying by Hela.
A large number of Hellheim's undead soldiers rushed forward as the giant wolf Fenrir tore through the Asgardian warriors.
"Everyone, be careful of the enemy!"
With the help of the Asgardian gods, they were barely able to hold back some of the enemies. But Hela's abilities as the Goddess of Death were too powerful. She had returned to reclaim the throne, and she had no regard for the lives of those who stood in her way.
"You really won't give up, will you?" Hela said.
Thor continued to attack. This time, Hela had no intention of holding back. She easily snatched the hammer with one hand and said with a sarcastic sneer, "Little Thor, I held you when you were a baby..."
"Did you know? This Mjolnir was originally the war hammer that Odin gave me. It is an artifact forged against the daughter of the Elder God, Cul Borson."
"You used my divine hammer to attack its original owner. Did you think I would be happy about that?"
With that, a huge surge of energy erupted from Hela's body. The immense power shattered the hammer in her hand into a million pieces.
"No! My hammer!" Thor cried.
"It's just a hammer, you hammer god. I don't know why Odin would ever choose a useless trash like you!" Hela said, giving Thor a look of contempt before kicking him.
Thor, like a useless dog, landed on the Bifrost, unable to move. Hela, holding her Night-sky sword, walked slowly toward Asgard.
"Is that you, Highness Hela?"
The guards on duty in front of Asgard were ancient Aesir gods. They were stunned when they saw Hela. But Hela was only focused on revenge. She showed no mercy to her former acquaintances.
As Hela walked up the steps, a powerful oppressive force suppressed all the Asgardian guards. They couldn't attack, and they couldn't resist. They could only watch as Odin's former princess walked through the gates of Asgard.
"Odin!"
After a moment of silence, Hela's aura changed dramatically. The former executor of Asgard was back, filled with the vast power of death. The underworld energy began to pour into Asgard.
"Odin! You are still alive! Your daughter, Hela, the God-King of Asgard!"
"I have returned!"
Countless external forces coveting Asgard's status all set their sights on Asgard.
"She has returned, and Odin has not appeared. It seems the legend is true." A purple giant, two or three meters tall, stood in a dark starry sky, staring at the scene in front of him. "Send the order. The fleet will target Midgard, and we will prepare to capture the Infinity Stones."
Deeper in the universe, at the junction of three major galaxies, a hidden fleet was also watching the scene. They made the same decision as the purple giant.
"The rise of the empire is today! As long as we confirm Odin is dead, we can start a war and devour the remaining two empires!"
