Chapter 5 - Deep In The Starry Sky

Part 1

When a child has turned twelve in the academy they are required to attend a summoning ceremony for everyone to gain a familiar who would be their servant who would be helping their master be able to graduate from the academy

This academy resembles a large palace that looks old but has equipped modern technology to make the place look lively and I am not talking about smart devices and all that but this was the age where artificial lights made from a light bulb were a must have.

Jake Grendanfall was considered by many as the weakest boy for in during his twelveth birthday he received a stubborn dragon as his familiar.

The familar he received was said to be the most powerful dragon during the seventy-fourth year however a dragon of that rank and caliber she is very arrogant, prideful, and reclusive.

However besides the familar he has been latelty getting failing marks in his results and has no abilities

Many people here said he lacks any redeeming qualities as evident by how he was also a recluse who wants nothing more than to make friends.

There was a dark blond girl who is friends with him however she does not interact with him too often because of how busy she was when dealing with homework, training her familiar, and attending political parties for her family is rich and a daughter of the baron who runs and manages a large piece of land.

The young dragon girl has been making fun of her master's lack of skills too and even insults him in his own dorm.

If anyone were to say she is a tsundere they are wrong at least perhaps not at the moment.

In the night the academy filled with many colorful lights which was the only thing Jake liked in the academy.

From the side the dragon girl watches her lousy and weak master grins as he exhibited weird fascinations with just watching the lights instead of studying, refuting, or proving everyone who bully him wrong.

The young dragon girl wore a top hat and a suit at that moment as she attempts to show the boy that she is better than him although she stops and just watches his heart has greed for the sights yet lacks the greed for power or fame or wealth all he cares about was the amazing lights and nothing else.

She finds Jake's interest weird as he is into dragon girls, mermaids, vampires, and fairies.

She finds that strangely flattering yet he states although not in front of her but she does hear that he complains about her attitude yet does not yell at her as he is captivated by her apperance.

She indeed worries for his health as he also secludes himself from other people and dreams of meeting a princess in the future.

She notes all of this down as he stares at the outside of his room with a look of happiness and melancholy at the same time.

She looks on at his lonely and calm figure he is more welcoming and is more open to the thought of having someone comfort him as long as they are beautiful and kind.

Jake is known to listen well in class yet fails in doing the magic spell.

He is known to have full understanding and knowledge in the theoretical side of skills and abilies yet he has difficulty in learning or grasping the practicality of the spell

He does not understand it either as he was trained the same way his sister was yet she became a prodigy well he remain nothing at all.

Jake was bullyed by many people yet he does not care nor is one to worry about it.

He still keeps that dragon girl despite her insulting him every day.

Jake glances at the dragon girl and turns away slightly leaving an insult and brushing him off yet he finds it strange. Why is the dragon girl so strange just looking at him with a sort of regretful or guilty expression as if she were someone who can sense the morality and sadness of another person. She seemed to have a grasp and understanding of human emotions, she can feel guilty, she seems more better than those classmates of his who mocked him with no remorse. Strange how a non-human girl shows more remorse and shame than those human boys and girls that mocked him.

His other friend does not mock him and defends him yet the issue here is that he is unable to talk or interact with her as he understands the pressure she faces studying, practicing, training, and having to put on an appealing, effective, and exhuasting facade that makes the others so believing of her words and actions.

She is the embodiment of graceful as she is known to be excellent in etiqutte and manners.
