Kross arrived at Trinity pack in the wee hours of the morning.
The one and half day journey had taken them just the whole night alone.
They stopped at the edge of the village, leaving their horses and carriage hidden by the road.
With their dark cloaks pulled close and hoods low over their faces, they walked quietly into the narrow streets. Nothing about them drew attention; they moved like shadows, careful and silent.
Just that Kross was carrying Lyra by his shoulder.
Lyra's condition was still unusual and disturbing. She had not closed her eyes once. Her eyes were pale and her green iris looked like it was glowing. She wasn't even blinking, moving, just nothing.
Also on the corner of her eyes was green, the same color as her Iris'. In time it looked like her full eye was going to be emerald. It was so strange, a condition no one had seen.
