"You marked her Kross," Ryan looked at his grim face. It was a difficult moment for Kross especially if she wasn't his mate. The cursed beast marked a stranger, it was hard to even comprehend.
Kross' eyes didn't leave the girl. 'Is she cursed?' Her hair was really strange. Except for the elders and obviously not all of them, having white hair was rare especially for a young girl like her.
"Who is she?" His eyes still on the girl, his jaw ticked, anger just building in him as he stared at the girl. 'How dare she bewitch me!' ran through his mind.
Ryan sensed the animosity, "Lyra, That's her name," he looked at the girl. "She's one of the maids who came for the decree."
Ryan stopped talking which Kross turned to look at him.
"Oh, also she was unconscious ever since she arrived and woke up the day before yesterday," he cleared his throat, "That's it." he continued "Such a strange girl she is. Sena said something about her being resistant to her power."
Kross turned to look at him as soon as Ryan said that, "Is there anything else about her?"
"Noah has gone to find more." he added cheekily, "She's pretty. Her hair is too... white and fluffy. Can I-"
"Summon Sena." Kross moved from the bed and sat on his study table. The discussion was over. He knew Ryan just wanted to amuse himself playing with Lyra's hair. Ryan lusted over men not women.
Ryan left the room.
Kross still smelt her scent. It was his favorite scent ever. The most beautiful he ever smelt. It calmed him down and he felt just nice. He felt an rare amount of peace he never felt since he was born. But either way he wasn't about to seek solace in a stranger.

"Greetings Alpha," Sena got inside with Ryan who fetched her. They approached Kross where he sat. They stood side ways in front of the study table.
"When is she going to wake up?"
"It's up to her will Alpha," she paused. "She was weak to begin with and marking always takes a lot of energy. Alpha your mark will take a toll on her."
"Is she a witch?" Just letting the name witch come out from his mouth made him feel like he would twist Lyra's head roughly. If she used unhanded means to get him to mark her he was going to give her a very painful death.
"Her channel is different than mine. She's rejecting my power, like blocking them." She saw how Kross' face twisted, his eyebrows drew closer. "She's not a witch."
Everyone looked at her, she then explained, "I mean, if she was a witch, when unconscious, witches' true form comes out. They can't hide their true form."
"Magic user?" Ryan asked.
"She's not, her channel is different. Something I've never seen before."

Rina bit her thumb nail. She went to open for Lyra in the morning and teach her some manners. She found the whole hallway guarded. No one was allowed to go near the laundry room.
She tried prying from one of the guards but she was turned away.
She had two thoughts; Either Lyra was dead or worse she was found and now if she spoke up, she was going direct to the dungeon.
Just last night before bed, she heard Tessa asking around for Lyra. She woke up earlier that day to unlock Lyra before what she feared happen.
She rushed through the hallways to the gauntlet.
"Have you seen Bryce?" Beads of sweat trickled down her forehead. As soon as she got the location of where he was sparring at, she sprinted.
"Bryce!" She called out when she found him. "Bryce!"
He ran a hand over his face, muttering under his breath before walking toward her.
"What are you doing here?" he asked low but heavy with impatience.
"We are in trouble," her voice breaking, "They found the girl."
Bryce snapped, "It's not my fault. Get away from me!" he turned and left like he wanted no part of that, like he didn't know Rina.
Rina shouted calling his name and some threats like she won't go down alone but Bryce never looked back.

Lyra felt very uncomfortable as her clothes were drenched in sweat. She wanted to wake up but she felt too lazy to do that. She felt pain everywhere in her body. She wanted to just sleep but her mind kept wandering.
She was standing in what seemed like a dream but too real yet surreal. She looked around she was floating. The entire space was white.
"Lyra! Lyra!" Someone called out her name.
She looked around and she spotted a woman from the other side, she looked near but far at the same time. The woman had the same hair color and eyes like her, It was something that caught her eye. Her voice was sweet like melodies.
Suddenly a white light enveloped her. It felt too comfortable. A feeling like she never felt before, like she was free, safe, open.
