Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

Eisner stood there for a long time, listening.

Lucy was gone?

Someone had sent her back on a private jet.

Although the Atlant family was well - known in its territory, the deep mountains were in a chaotic period now.

The family patriarch didn't have such great influence. So who could it be?

How did Lucy get to know someone with such great influence right under his nose?

Moreover, she had clearly promised him that they would go home together.

But now she had left with someone else without even saying goodbye to him. What did she take him for?

Eisner's mind was filled with all sorts of questions. The suffocation and anger in his heart were tormenting him.

But he couldn't find the answers. Lucy's phone was turned off.

The familiar desire to destroy welled up in Eisner's heart again.

His hands were shaking with anger. He secretly swore in his heart that this time, no matter how she tried to coax him, he wouldn't forgive her easily. For seven days, no, ten days, she wouldn't even be able to touch him.

So that she wouldn't keep causing trouble like this.

After all the commotion, when he returned to the werewolf base, it was already deep into the night.

Isabella looked at his empty hands and asked blankly.

"Eisner, where's the meat soup you bought for me?"

Only then did Eisner come to his senses. He had long forgotten about the food at the hospital. After learning that Lucy had left without saying goodbye, it seemed that he had forgotten everything all at once.

"I forgot."

Isabella stared at him in disbelief with wide - open eyes, "Forgot? I've been waiting for you, starving."

Eisner, who had once been extremely concerned about her emotional changes, now seemed not to notice at all.

"Get something to eat by yourself. I have something else to do."

Watching Eisner's figure hurrying out of the door, Isabella's eyes became deep and fierce. Her voice was so low that only she could hear it.

"Clearly, I'm the heroine of this world. Why, then, is everything still going off - track just like in my previous life?"

Of course, Eisner couldn't hear this sentence.

After walking out of Isabella's room, he rushed back to the room where Lucy had temporarily stayed last time.

After locking the door, he found that all of Lucy's things were gone.

He remembered very clearly that Isabella had packed all of Lucy's things into a box last time.

Lucy had carried it to this room. Why were all the things gone now?

That box contained all the things she had kept during the five years she had accompanied him here, including the only few group photos of the two of them, as well as some small gifts he had given her on ordinary days. Even the occasional work notes he had written to her had been carefully collected by her.

But now, all of them were gone. It was absolutely impossible for Lucy to have taken that big box with her.

She must have hidden it somewhere.

Eisner's heart was pounding violently in his chest, but he rummaged through the whole room and couldn't find the box.

He then ran outside to search. Finally, guided by the guards at the base,

Eisner found a pile of ashes not far from the base.

There were still some things that hadn't been completely burned.

There was a yellow sticky note. Half of the words he had written were burned away.

But Lucy's words were still legible: [On X day of X month in X year, Eisner wrote me a note for the first time. Although it was about work, I don't care. It's very precious to me!]

When she was collecting these notes, he had once made fun of her.

At that time, Lucy had hugged him and kissed him with a smile, saying, "Everything Brother Eisner gives me is very precious to me. I can't miss a single thing. I'll keep them for a lifetime."

But now, the things she had cherished like treasures had turned into a handful of ashes.

Eisner felt as if a heavy hammer had struck his heart.

At first, there was a sharp pain, and then it turned into a dull ache.

That dull pain was lingering and long - lasting.

All the pain originated from Lucy.

Eisner felt that he couldn't wait any longer. He should go home.

That night, he made the decision to go home the next day.
