The energy sphere skimmed past Saitama's afterimage and slammed into the spot where he'd been standing. There was no earth-shaking explosion—only an extreme, deep-blue radiance that burst outward in an instant!
Within the area covered by that light, whether it was the dark energy streams crawling over the ground or several monsters that couldn't dodge in time, everything was frozen solid and congealed on the spot—then shattered soundlessly like fragile ice crystals, turning into fine powder.
A massive crater covered in deep-blue frost was left behind.
"Gah——!" Spider-Man sucked in a sharp breath when he saw it. The power was way too terrifying!
"Careful! That's Abyss Coldflame! It can freeze energy and souls!" Doctor Strange immediately warned. At the same time, his hands formed seals at high speed. "Hoggoth no Ijigen no Kusari (Hoggoth's Chains of Dimension)!"
Several golden chains made of magical energy appeared out of thin air, shooting toward the Abyss Envoy like spiritual serpents, trying to bind his movements.
The envoy didn't move. The deep-blue halo swirling around him trembled slightly.
The magic chains froze solid the moment they entered within a meter of his body, as if they'd slammed into an invisible wall of extreme cold—then they snapped apart inch by inch, dissolving into golden motes of light.
"Tricks." The envoy's icy voice carried a trace of disdain.
His gaze never left Saitama. He raised his right hand again. This time, five even more condensed deep-blue beams shot out like arrows, sealing off every possible angle of Saitama's dodge!
Saitama's body flickered as he moved. He narrowly avoided three beams, smashed one apart with a punch, but the last one was already at his chest!
He crossed his arms to block.
Bang!
A muffled impact sounded. Saitama was forced back half a step. In an instant, a layer of deep-blue frost spread over the sleeves on his arms, and a bone-piercing chill surged up along his forearms, trying to burrow into his body!
"So cold!" Saitama shook his arms. The frost shattered, but the chill didn't disperse right away. His movements stiffened ever so slightly.
The envoy clearly caught it.
His figure blurred, and he appeared above and to Saitama's side as if teleporting. His right hand formed a blade with two fingers, wrapped in dense deep-blue coldflame, and he chopped down viciously!
That strike looked like it wanted to freeze and tear space itself apart!
"Hey! Look over here, blue Smurf!" Spider-Man's voice rang out!
Seizing the instant the envoy attacked Saitama, Spider-Man snapped his wrist repeatedly—firing not webbing, but several miniature high-explosive concussion bombs. The special bombs flew accurately toward the envoy's back of the head, spine, and knee joints!
At the same time, Doctor Strange struck as well. "Balthakk no Inazuma (Balthakk's Lightning)!"
A thick crimson bolt ripped through the darkness, arriving after it was cast but striking first as it split the air—slamming toward the envoy's crown!
The envoy's brow seemed to crease—if he even had brows.
Spider-Man's bombs couldn't truly injure him, but the shockwaves and blinding flashes disrupted his senses and rhythm. Doctor Strange's crimson lightning contained powerful anti-magic force, making him split his attention to deal with it.
His chopping hand didn't change course.
With a casual swing of his left hand backward, a deep-blue ice wall condensed instantly, blocking both the concussion bombs and the crimson lightning!
Boom! Bzzzt!
The explosions' flames and shockwaves were halted by the ice wall. The crimson lightning burst into writhing arcs across it. The wall shuddered violently as cracks spread, but it still didn't break.
However, that moment of distraction and defense gave Saitama the breathing room—and the opening—to counterattack!
"Majime Shirīzu: Majime Zutsuki (Serious Series: Serious Headbutt)!"
Ignoring the stiffness in his arms, Saitama suddenly lowered his head and slammed his shiny bald head forward like a cannonball, ramming straight into the envoy's chest at point-blank range!
Fast, ruthless, and completely unexpected.
