Chapter 239 - Chapter 239

Carnage Kabuto—like Mosquito Girl Christina, a creation of the House of Evolution.

His power... dragon-class.

Lightning struck, hissing against his frame.

But his body endured it effortlessly.

Plasma Dancer's face twisted in terror. She turned to flee—

SLASH!

Blood sprayed as a massive blade cleaved her body apart.

Carnage Kabuto walked past, leaving her corpse in pieces.

Nearby, Queen Do-S, Marshal Gorilla, and others froze, horrified.

"A monster... this guy's terrifying!"

"Fight or flee?"

"If we retreat now, the Association will kill us anyway!"

Their faces hardened. This was no ordinary enemy.

The Monster Association had spent over a decade amassing power. These field monsters were only pawns—its true purpose lay elsewhere.

In the tournament arena—

Genos sat in the stands, watching the matches with interest.

Suddenly, his communicator buzzed.

"Genos, a dangerous demon-class monster has appeared in Z-City. The local heroes can't hold. Please assist!"

It was HQ.

Nationwide, monsters were swarming across cities, overwhelming defenses.

"I understand. A demon-class... I'll handle it."

Genos cut the call, stood, and strode off.

The staff notified the tournament organizers, but no one panicked.

With Bang and Bomb present, there was no fear.

Meanwhile—

Saitama advanced easily. A bye, then a weakling KO'd in one punch. Smooth progress.

But another drew all eyes—Suiryu.

The previous champion.

He'd already crushed Lightning Max with one strike.

Now he faced Snake, A-Class Rank 4.

"You're an A-Class hero? With pay that good, you must be strong," Suiryu said lightly.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Snake growled.

He felt pressure radiating from Suiryu. His bravado wavered.

"Being a hero really is easy money," Suiryu smirked.

"You bastard! Don't underestimate me!"

Snake lunged, fists a blur—

WHAM!

A kick too fast for the eye smashed him down. He convulsed, foaming at the mouth.

The arena fell silent.

Then erupted.

"So strong!"

"That's Suiryu, the champion!"

"Snake didn't stand a chance!"

"Handsome! Amazing!"

The cheers washed over Suiryu. He basked in them, smiling.

He was born gifted. If not for that rumored Wolfman, he wouldn't have bothered with this tournament at all.

Next up: Lightning Max.

Though newly promoted to S-Class, his reputation was shaky—Sweet Mask's departure had filled S-Class with weaker additions.

Still, he had fans. His earlier flashy victory had impressed.

"Max! Max!" the crowd roared.

"Lightning-fast! Suiryu won't touch him!"

"Don't count Suiryu out. He's no hero, but a true martial arts prodigy!"

The arena buzzed with debate.

On the judge's stand, Bang and Bomb sat composed.

"Suiryu... a fine seedling," Bang said softly, opening his eyes. He could feel the power coiled in the youth.

"You doubt Max? He is S-Class, after all," Bomb chuckled.

"You think the same as I do. Even so... neither of them can defeat that one," Bang said, glancing at "Charanko" on the bench.

Saitama, oblivious, chatted idly.

Bang shook his head with a smile.

Z-City.

Chaos.

Monsters rampaged, civilians screamed.

"This city is ours now!" one monster bellowed.

"Rocket Stomp!"

A cold voice answered.

BOOM!

Flames erupted. Concrete shattered, leaving a massive crater.

The boasting monster was paste.

A mechanical hand shot from the smoke, seizing another monster by the throat.

"Tell me where your leader is—or die in agony."

The grip tightened, bones cracking.

From the dust, Genos emerged, golden eyes blazing.

He had undergone many upgrades since following Saitama. Now a true top-class S-Class hero, yet his hatred for monsters only grew.

The trapped monster whimpered.

CRACK!

Its head burst like a melon, blood spraying.

A red beam sliced through the air, lancing toward Genos at lightning speed.
