Vision-Ultron didn't lift a finger.
An invisible force pinned Pietro to the wall, crushing him in place.
Quicksilver?
Before the power of the Mind Stone, he was a joke.
Vision wielded brainwave and psychic attacks.
And the Mind Stone amplified that to a terrifying level.
Speed meant nothing against such broken abilities.
"Let go of Pietro!!"
Scarlet energy burst outward, blasting Vision-Ultron back.
Quicksilver dropped to the ground, clutching his throat, coughing violently, fear etched across his face.
Wanda stood before him, protecting her brother.
She unleashed her psychic power.
Hum~~~
This Ultron was not the same as before.
Back then, he was a machine, his thoughts mere currents of code. Wanda couldn't sense anything.
But now—
Vision-Ultron's body was nearly indistinguishable from a human's.
It carried life. It carried spirit.
Naturally, she could read it.
And when she did, Wanda's face went deathly pale. Terror filled her eyes as she stumbled back.
"No! No—you lied to us! You want to destroy the world!!"
Inside Vision-Ultron's mind, she saw Earth in ruins, nations ruled entirely by machines.
"Destroy? No. Do you know how many cycles of evolution this planet has endured? Dinosaurs, ancient eras, now humanity? Peace does not require humans. They are greedy, full of desire."
Vision-Ultron laughed coldly.
"Only a world of metal can be a true world of peace. I will make the rules. There will be no more war. Eternal peace."
"Madman! You're insane!!"
Wanda cried, sending a subtle pulse of her power toward Dr. Helen Cho.
The Korean scientist's eyes widened as she too saw Ultron's true plan.
Destruction—then false salvation.
A complete lunatic.
"Look. With this perfect body, humanity is redundant."
Vision-Ultron waved his hand.
A holographic projection appeared.
New York.
From beneath the city, endless drones poured upward.
From the very beginning, Ultron had seized hidden factories underground, transforming them into production lines for his army.
As long as resources and energy existed, his mechanical legions would never end.
Cheaper, stronger, and infinite.
"I won't let you leave here! Initiate self-destruct protocol!"
Helen Cho snapped.
Though gentle in appearance, she was brilliant. She had built safeguards into Vision's design.
Zzzzt—
Vision-Ultron groaned as he jammed a hand into his own head.
His body, made of vibranium alloy, could shift between solid and intangible, even passing through itself.
He pulled out a smoking black chip, crushed it to dust.
"Foolish human. Did you really think your intellect surpassed mine? You will never comprehend the might of vibranium."
Shing!
A golden beam lanced out.
Helen Cho looked down, shocked. Blood poured from her abdomen as she collapsed.
"No!!"
Wanda screamed.
Scarlet power erupted—
Boom!!
Her energy clashed with Vision-Ultron's psychic might.
The siblings were hurled back, slamming into the wall, nearly broken.
"Weak humans. I don't intend to kill you now. Super-powered humans are rare."
His eyes gleamed wickedly.
"I will bend your minds. Make you puppets."
The Mind Stone could enslave any mind.
Though new to its power, Ultron still radiated danger. He didn't press further, wary of Wanda's abilities and the approaching Avengers.
"Pietro… we were wrong…"
Wanda coughed blood, her face streaked with regret.
"We should have listened to Saitama. He never lied. The mistake was ours… but now… it's too late…"
She stared at the hologram.
Cities aflame. Drones flooding like tides. Armies clashing, civilians slaughtered.
This was never her intent. She hated Stark, yes—but not innocent people.
"Wanda…"
Pietro gasped, his body wracked with agony.
"You must… find him… find Saitama… only he… can stop this…"
Helen Cho, barely alive, whispered through bloody lips.
She couldn't bear to see the world fall into a nightmare she had helped create.
"Saitama? Hmph! Don't say that name in front of me!"
Vision-Ultron snarled.
He remembered that punch.
Even in this perfect body, the memory haunted him, filling him with rage and fear.
His foot lifted, ready to crush Helen Cho like an insect.
"Stop!!"
Scarlet power surged, dragging Cho out of the way as the ground cracked into a crater.
The three survivors paled at the display of raw power.
"Struggling ants. You'll die anyway. I've changed my mind. I'll kill you first."
Vision-Ultron sneered.
A massive machine lifted from the lab, hurled toward them under his control.
Wanda, Pietro, and Cho stared, despair in their eyes.
"This is the end."
Boom—
The machine exploded into shards.
None struck them.
Confused, they looked up.
Yellow suit. White cape. Red gloves. Bald head gleaming.
Saitama.
"You're not hurt, right?"
He turned his dead-fish eyes toward them, asking calmly.
