"Gah?!"
Loki's smile froze instantly.
What the hell?!
His mind exploded into blankness.
But the bald slacker's figure flashed by as if he hadn't even appeared.
"I think I just… saw Loki? Weird."
Saitama muttered softly.
This faster-than-light monster didn't even realize he had just passed right by the Chitauri army.
Blink.
Fifteen seconds until the nukes hit.
Saitama returned to the battleship carrying Stark.
With a loud thud, he dropped him on the ground like trash.
Smash!
Hulk tossed the limp Captain America down as well.
"Peh! Captain America? More like a weakling."
Natasha stood dumbfounded.
The so-called symbol of freedom and justice was utterly helpless in Hulk's hands.
Fists and kicks useless, his vibranium shield even bitten and broken.
Then—
Like a father beating his son, Steve was beaten down brutally.
"Damn, the nukes! We must block the signal and change their course, Natasha, you handle the jamming!"
Bruce Banner, back to normal, shouted.
He darted to the console.
Natasha sprinted at full speed to the controls.
Barton: "…"
Can I get some presence here?
I'm a superhero too, you know?
Completely ignored.
No one cared, even with his arrow aimed at Saitama's head.
"Seven seconds left."
Saitama checked his tactical watch.
JARVIS's backup had already marked every nuclear warhead.
"No choice. Gotta stop them."
After two seconds of thought, Saitama decided.
He whistled.
Barton drew his attention.
"Smile, buddy."
Whoosh!
A special explosive arrow shot out.
Ignored so much, Hawkeye's heart ached!
Saitama turned his head.
Crunch!
With white teeth, he bit the arrow and chewed it like a snack.
Barton: "…"
Who am I?
Where am I?
What am I doing?
Saitama spat the shattered arrow tip back.
It landed on Barton, exploding violently.
[Ding! Congratulations, you defeated the mind-controlled Hawkeye, contribution +500]
As expected.
Weakling Barton.
"Let's go, time's… running out."
He glanced at the battered Barton, then vanished.
Boom—
Creak creak creak—
Metal twisted and bent!
The deck warped rapidly!
The sudden force smashed Hulk and Natasha flat to the ground.
Natasha's chest was crushed painfully, blood at her lips, face horrified.
Acceleration!
Too fast!
The speed nearly burst blood vessels.
But on the screen—
The nuke countdown that had only 3 seconds left was now increasing!
10 seconds!
20 seconds!
30 seconds!
Finally… 183 hours?!
Impossible?!
It wasn't the nukes' timers, but their distance recalculated against their speed.
Then…
"Hiss—"
Saitama and Banner looked outside.
Endless starry sea, floating debris, steel fragments drifting.
Fury, Barton, Hill all stared blankly.
They were… in space!
Luckily, this warship was built for space combat, with basic protection.
Otherwise, normal people would've died instantly from bursting vessels and organs.
From afar, a terrifying sight—
A bald man was holding up an enormous aircraft carrier with both arms.
In just seconds… he had carried it into space.
But the acceleration was so fast the alloys bent and collapsed.
The entire ship was twisted.
The shock cleared Fury and the others' minds.
Saitama frowned.
Too little energy!
"Doesn't matter, I'll deal with the missiles first."
He locked eyes on Earth.
The nukes, drawn by signals, were closing in.
"All nuclear warheads locked," JARVIS's backup said. "Considering blast radius and radiation, detonating here is not recommended."
If they exploded at this distance, radioactive fallout would shroud Earth for millennia.
"Annoying things every day, but today's too much."
Saitama muttered.
What else could he do?
He'd just run more.
Exercise, right?
With talent absorption and Thor's lightning power, lightspeed flight was easy.
Still… empty and lonely.
"Serious Running!"
With those words, his body vanished, sparks crackling behind.
Outside the atmosphere,
A US-marked tactical nuke tore through the sky toward Earth.
Boom—
A figure appeared before it.
Like picking corn, Saitama snapped it under his arm.
He darted to another.
Snap, tucked it in.
In his world, nukes might as well be stationary.
Not bragging.
Back when atomic bombs exploded, he roasted sweet potatoes nearby.
Soon, his arms were full of nukes.
His cape wrapped around more, shoulders stacked.
JARVIS's backup: "…"
He's live dismantling nukes with bare hands. Excuse me, he dropped one, let him pick it up.
Saitama's eyes brightened.
He remembered the monsters he saw earlier!
Definitely monsters. The display said:
Name: Leviathan Beast
Type: Carnivorous Monster
Perfect. Send them over. Clear them out.
Decision made.
He vanished.
In seconds, dozens of nukes appeared in the Chitauri ranks.
He tossed them casually.
Busy breaking more, he turned away, moving on.
Real men don't look back at explosions.
I don't produce nukes.
I'm just nature's deliveryman.
Hundreds of nukes, snapped and carried, hurled at the Chitauri.
The alien commander: "…"
"What the hell? Where did all these come from?!"
