Vale's POV
Vincent raised his hand, and the nightmare creatures behind him snarled.
"Attack!" he commanded.
Everything exploded into chaos.
The shadow feeders leaped at us with their razor claws while Vincent's dark creatures poured into the chamber. I threw up a shield of star-fire, but there were too many enemies coming from every direction.
"We can't fight them all!" Luna yelled over the sounds of battle.
Dante grabbed my father and pulled him toward one of the tunnel exits. "This way!"
"No!" I screamed, reaching for Papa. "Don't leave me!"
But Adrian was already pushing me in the opposite direction. "We have to split up! It's the only way to confuse them!"
"I won't leave my father!" I fought against Adrian's grip, but he was vampire-strong.
"Vale, listen to me," Zephyr said, appearing at my side. His golden eyes were serious for once. "If we stay together, we all die. If we split up, some of us might live."
