Rachel was sitting in the middle of the questioning room, her arms crossed very tightly, as she looked at the two men across from her.
The papers were placed on the table between them, spread out like evidence at a crime, one she was sure she didn't do.
The older man, moved forward and arranged his glasses. He pointed to one paper with the tip of his pen.
"Ms. Crawford, this paper says your wedding to Mr. Nicholas Grey was planned, so someone could get money." He moved his pen to the other paper.
"And this one says it was because you wanted to do it. Which paper are we supposed to believe is true?"
Her lips moved together, and her jaw was so tight that it was painful to her.
"I don't know how you found these," she finally said, her voice short and cold.
The younger agent laughed and moved back in his chair. His voice was sharper and more accusatory.
