Pamela's POV
The buzzer went off before the sun came up, and for a second I didn't move, just looked up at the ceiling. My body hurt from the constant pressure of having to take care of everything, but I couldn't show any weakness. Not anymore.
I got dressed carefully in a blazer that fit well, straight pants, and heels that made a sharp sound on the family home's marble floors. My brothers were still sleeping, or acting like they were. I left quietly, and the city was already busy when my car arrived in the downtown area.
